Why Hal Beimel chose Ridgway
Location is perfect. You can walk your kayak down to the river from the cabin or it's only approximately 200 yards upstream to the Arryoyo Canoe Launch. This is THE BEST stretch of the Clarion River for fishing and paddling. The XYZ Rapids are just downstream from the cabin!

The cabin was great! We had a very nice weekend away. The cabin was new and had basically everything we needed.
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for the kind review and please come back to visit the cabin again soon!!!
Cabin was very nice. Had a great time.
Cabin was in great shape. Owner was very responsive to questions. We had a great time. Love the fireplace downstairs. We had 4 adults and 3 dogs at the cabin. Great views. We took a hiking path near by.
The beds downstairs are near the utility closet so the water heater / heater / water filter noise is heard. The water filter recycled Friday night not Thursday night as stated in the instructions.
It was a great decision to book this place out from others. We drove from Michigan and my friends drove from CT. This is a nice cozy cabin in Ridway right at the river front. Very clean, plenty of room for two couples. Very clean kitchen. Central heating in the cabin. We had a fire outside and BBQ in the grill.
Can recommend, without hesitation, to anybody who wants to get away from hectic work to have a relaxing time in to the wilderness.
Owner is very kind and informative. He even helped us with late check-out.
So glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the very kind review. Please come back and visit again soon!
Cozy and relaxing
The cabin provided the perfect resting spot for two couples on a long weekend getaway. We enjoyed great hiking in the area, seeing wildlife out the back window, and a few days of slowing down the pace of life. The kitchen had everything we needed for eating all of our meals in, and the wood stove kept us warm at night (there is also a furnace -- we just really enjoyed the fire of the wood stove so we chose to use it). The cabin was exactly what we were looking for!
Thank you Kathryn for the kind review. I’m so glad you enjoyed the cabin and got a chance to unwind. Please come back and stay again soon!
The cabin was everything the the add said it was.
We loved our stay at this cabin. There were six of us in the cabin and there was plenty of room. It was very clean and ready for us when we got there. Went to Benezette to see the elk on saturday. Had a great time there...The next time we come up, will be just staying at the cabin for the weekend.
Thank you for the great review Kathy. I’m so glad your group enjoyed the cabin. Please come back again soon!!!
Lovely cabin best suited for two adults and two children.
Kelly and Hal were quick to answer questions and solve a problem for us. Their cabin is spacious and cozy on cold days. We never used the fire pit or sat on the back porch because the weather was too bitter, but the back of the cabin looks up a pretty hillside. We used the basement door to go in and out so we didn’t have to drive up the steep driveway. This remote getaway has WiFi and Direct TV; therefore, you can be connected after a long day in the Allegheny National Forest area.
Thank you so much for the 5 stars even with us having to come fix the toilet. Thankfully there are two bathrooms in the cabin! We have had many adult groups and large families enjoy the cabin and found it to have plenty of space for sleeping and gathering. We are glad you did too!
So much to do!!! The Hallton Hillton is the closest place for a burger and a beer only a short drive from the cabin. The Farmers Inn, Summit Fireside Grill, Joey's Bakery, Jordan's Bar and Grill and the Royal Motel are all great restaurant choices in Ridgway, approximately 15 minutes drive from the Cabin. Elk County Foods in Ridgway will have all your grocery needs. Two local outfitters, (Lazy River and Country Squirrel), have all your needs covered for Kayak and Canoe Rentals, river pick up, as well as biking, hiking, fishing and camping goodies... River Valley Surplus has all your guns/ammo hunting needs covered. Cook Forest is about 45 minutes to the west and Benezette, elk viewing and the Elk Country Visitors Center are about 45 minutes drive east, Niagara Falls is 2:45 north, Pittsburgh is about 2 hours south.
