This roomy home is a perfect place for a family vacation or a fishing trip. An attached wood deck and spacious yard allow for sunbathing or ball-playing and a wonderful view of the ever-changing lake. There is also a covered porch with more lake views. The North East Marina is located about 100 yards from the property. It offers nightly docking for your boat and a free boat launch. In a quiet community with a few good restaurants (one located at the marina). Many restaurants a short drive away.
This home has many comfortable features including a fireplace, a sunroom to enjoy the beautiful lake and sunset views (There are lake views from almost every room!), and a fully equipped kitchen.
The fishing is great. Twenty-Mile Creek is a ten minute walk up the beach. The casino in Erie is just 20 minutes away. There are many wineries nearby offering tours and tastings. Just a short jaunt to Niagara Falls, golf courses and Peek'n Peak Ski Resort.

We had originally planned on having a private ceremony on the beach but postponed our wedding to accomidate more family members. We still rented this house for a big pre wedding family vacation. Grandparents on both sides sister, brother the two of us and our three kids 6,8 and 7 months. This house suited our every need!! It was plenty big that games could be going in one room while papa slept in another. They yard was also amazing for the kids and was a great backdrop for some family photos. The huge driveway and basketball hoop was a hit too!!! We brought bikes and found plenty of great bikepaths!! The kitchen is fully stocked with gadgets, dishes and cookware. It was great to grocery shop locally and prepare large meals at the house for everyone. The beach was easy to get to from the front yard and about a 10 minute walk is a big sandy beach where we spent lots of time body surfing and hunting beach glass. We had an absolute magical time and would love to return as a family again!!!!
We stayed here last year and loved it so much we came back again this year!
The house is right on the lake (beautiful sunsets) and the sound of the water at all hours is totally relaxing. The house is very well stocked with everything you could possible need. Don't forget to bring sheets and towels, but there are plenty of pots and pans, dishes, mugs, etc.
The sunporch is wonderful for sitting, reading, jig saw puzzles, or just watching the water. The deck is a great place for that early morning coffee. The lake is RIGHT THERE if you are up for water activities.
The sand and beaches of Presque Isle are just a couple miles down the road. Presque isle has wonderful walking/biking paths and a couple of us were feeling energetic, so we rented one of those bicycles with the full seat and canapy overhead. We spent as much time laughing as we did peddling.
Erie, proper, is just a few miles away with plenty of things to do. We went to the zoo and the Station Dinner Theater; did some shopping, some sightseeing, some just hanging out.
So, if you want a house right on the lake that is just WONDERFUL... this is the place for you!
We stayed for the weekend and I invited family up. It was a very quiet peaceful setting. If you are looking for something away from the busy life, This is it. Plenty of space.
The listing was just as the photos presented. Views and sunsets and sunrises from almost anywhere in the house were awesome. Whether you were sitting inside on the back porch, or in a lawn chair on the bluff, it was beautiful. House has big bedrooms, two wonderful baths and ,views, views from everywhere.
Being a cook I appreciated having pots and pans big enough and plentiful enough to accommodate the 11 people the house holds. Plenty of dishes and a gas stove and dishwasher. Upstairs laundry is handy. Beds are comfortable. Our guys loved the closeness of the North East marina to the property. Probably a highlight of our visit was my 88 year old mother coming out for an overnighter. Cooked pizza scooter pies in the fire circle down by the bluff , and watched the sunset. Next morning she got up at 7 with the guys and went fishing on Lake Erie in her old boat and was the first one to catch a perch. This house made this memory possible. Getting to the beach is not for the elderly or the faint of heart. You definitely need to wear surf shoes as it's very stony for the first 10 feet or so before it goes to softer stuff. There is a public beach in a park about 1/2 mile down the road. If you come you need to be prepared not to be at the beach every day as the wind and weather actually dictates your time on the surf. Of the 7 days we were they we had two actually good beach days, not the houses fault, but just don't think you're at the outer banks. This is Lake Erie. Water was warm for the lake at 74. You can also utilize the beach further down the shore and walking it is very nice, but once again with shoes. Place is not air conditioned but fans were in the closets and some were out. We brought them and with the window placement you always had a cross breeze. The owners were most helpful and accommodating. House was clean. we've already put in a request to return next year. Probably should not have written such a good review, as now they will be flooded. Oh well it is what it is. Enjoy!
We stayed here with our 2yr old and 6 yr old and our parents, so 4 adults and 2 kiddos. We had a great time. The location is amazing...right on the water and next door to the marina. Great driveway for rollerskating, riding bikes and playing basketball. Tons of outdoor space to hang out and the lake is just the right distance away that you don't have to worry about the kiddos strayong off too far and ending up in the lake! I will say that the comfy beds are slim pickings...so if your going there with a full house, you're going to need to flip some coins for the good beds! All in all, a great location for a low-key family getaway.
The pictures of this house do not do it justice. It is very spacious, clean and comfortable. We are a group of 10 sisters & cousins who go somewhere every year for a gals get-away week-end, and this house exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the sunroom which overlooks the lake.
We "hit the jackpot" when we booked this one!
