After 12 years of holidaying at the Golondrinas Apts in Elviria, we finally realised our dream and acquired our own place in this wonderful and safe community, just metres from the beach and within very short walking distance to the taxi rank, shops and a 5 star hotel on our doorstep!

We purchased this apartment in 2013

Why we chose Elviria?

Strategic location to beach, restaurants, 5 star hotel and a lovely friendly community environment.

Jardines de las Golondrinas is situated directly on the best beach in Marbella and is a superb choice for a family holiday, a quiet getaway or as a base for a golf break.

Our 1st floor apartment is airy, bright and spacious, with a large south facing terrace off the living area and a west facing balcony off the dining area. It has a fully fitted kitchen and both hot & cold air conditioning.

We have ample indoor sofa seating with brand new sofa which seats 4-5 easily and an additional arm chair[reclining]. all beds are brand new and the master bed if super king. the dining furniture is purposely for 4 people as it is a 4 person apt. Most people dine on terrace in summer and there is a new terrace furniture set that seat 6-8. we have additionally added a new built in garden seat-not in all apartments. we have added a new breakfast bar and 3 additional high stools.

the apartment is designed for 4 and the table does actually seat 6 chairs[the bar stool can be lowered] .

Our apartment is of considerably high standard for the price in high season and most furniture is upgraded the beginning of 2014.

Communal satellite TV, with channels in few different languages, WiFi , Play Station,

Safe Box.

The complex has 130 acres of sub-tropical gardens which feature waterfalls, fish and turtle filled lily ponds & streams as well as a large outdoor pool with swim up bar, children s pool, heated Jacuzzi and poolside restaurant serving excellent food throughout the day.

There are three commercial centres within walking distance, with a wide range of outlets - restaurants, bars/cafes, supermarkets, furniture, souvenir, electrical stores, pharmacies, beauty/hair salons, estate agents, banks, ATMs etc.

The complex has reception facilities, private parking, 24h security and secure perimeter fencing.

Information Pack: A comprehensive information pack is provided on booking. This includes detailed maps and diagrams of the area, list of 'things to do with kids', restaurant and shopping guide, and emergency and medical contacts.

Great family holiday

This was a great experience all round. From the initial enquiry through to the booking was so efficient, and the supporting communications with the help pack ups were really detailed and extremely helpful. The location of the fully equiped and very clean apartment was ideal and a great place to base a holiday from. The kids (and us parents) made full use of the large pool and it was so handy for the beach. With all the shops, restaurants and bars being so handy and within walking distance the hire car we had was totally under utilised.

A most enjoyable holiday with a big thank you to Linda for her help and advice.

Our Elviria experience

Property in excellent position with good restaurants and beach within walking distance. Grounds surrounding the property very well maintained and the size/shape of the swimming pool with life guard was a very pleasant surprise. Apartment well laid out and furniture in lounge dining area modern and good. We would be very happy to stay again IF the bathrooms had a serious upgrade. Both exceedingly tired and towels needed renewing. Nice terrace with sun all day and good quality furniture. All in all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and with a serious spruce up would be happy to bring friends there. As it is at the moment think it is a little over priced for the standard of bathrooms.

Return visit as good as the first.

Well positioned apartment in lovely setting and area, very close to everything you need, including beach, some great restaurants and supermarkets. Close to Marbella and Puerto Banus with lots of other attractions within travelling distance. Car not essential as local transport is excellent although a car would be useful for longer distances. Apartment is well equipped and clean. Albena, the agent is very helpful and accommodating. This was our second visit and I would have no hesitation in re booking and recommending the apartment and area.

Spacious apartment in lovely gardens

We stayed here in August with our two sons who are aged 5 and 13. The Apartment is spacious - both bedrooms of a good size. Nice sitting area and balcony for eating out.

We thought we would be too hot in August but the apartment never got too hot and with the windows open you get a nice breeze through to keep you cool.

The complex is set in lovely gardens - the nicest we have stayed at. There was a team of people working on them and it showed.

We spent virtually all of our time at the pool which is a great size and again well maintained. This includes a separate pool for little ones which was also a good size. There are lots of sun loungers, parasols.

There is also a very nice cafe by the pool serving lunches and snacks/ice creams/cold drinks.

We booked a trip to Ronda through the Reception area - Sagesa - trip great but don't book the lunch! It was not great and Ronda is full of nice places to eat!

All in all a great family holiday in a comfortable apartment.

fantastic apartment for a family holiday great pool/grounds plenty of loungers round lovely pool ,kids made friends , good value apartment helpful information pack sent out by owner who was very easy to deal with , beach short walk to bottom of gardens , great restaurant on beach the beach house , also bono beach short drive away , and number of good eateries just outside the complex at night , better in my view than those in old elvira over the road

'Las Gaviotas',

This was a perfect place for a family holiday. It was very secure with keys required for gates to get in and out of the complex. Perfect for the kids, as we felt we could let them out to go on their little 'nature walks', and be safe. Plenty of unusual things for them to see and there were ponds with frogs. turtles and plenty of fish to keep them entertained for a while. Very spacious apartment, with everything you could need, and a nice big balcony.

The pool at the complex was really good and not too deep.

The one thing I would say is that if you are travelling with more than 2 children a car would be advisable as the taxis will only take 4 people. We had to either bus it or take 2 taxis, as we have 3 children.

Perfect for beach lovers as it was less than 5 minute walk to the beach.

Would certainly recommend this property for a family holiday

Jardines de las Golondrinas is located directly on the beach in Elviria, Marbella. The complex is adjacent to the 5* Don Carlos Hotel and the 5* Alanda Club (formerly The Four Seasons Country Club). This is a premier location with only a 200 metre walk to the prestinely maintained Elviria Beach which has the infamous Nikki Beach and 5* Don Carlos Beach Club on your very doorstep. The taxi rank is literally a 100 m walk from the apartment and the nearest bars and restaurants are merely a 300 m walk.Highly suited to those wish to take a break from driving!

The busy port town of Marbella with its lovely old quarter and palm-lined promenade is just 5 mins drive, and the bustling port of Puerto Banus is just 10 mins drive. The marina and beach in Cabopino is minutes away by car.

Alternatively you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains and take a trip to the hilltop town of Rhonda. Gibraltar and Seville are also accessible by car. Car hire or day tours can be arranged through Reception or through a local agent in the commercial centre.

For shopping 'La Canada', near Marbella is a must, as is the weekly market in Fuengirola and also the hillside town of Mijas.

For golfers, the Santa Maria Golf Club is 3 mins drive & there are numerous other golf courses nearby (further info available on request).
