Fantastic apartment near charming town of Impruneta
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment. Spacious, clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating and the town of Impruneta was charming and the restaurant La Loggia was wonderful!
A Great Base for Exploring Tuscany
This was a great place to stay during our trip to the Tuscany region. The apartment was very nice and well appointed. My daughters loved the pool, and my wife and I loved the view and quiet peacefulness of the Tuscan countryside. The hosts were fabulous and gave good directions to find the apartment which would not have been easy without their help. They also provided a great deal of information on the area that made our stay much easier. There is a little outdoor storage area that had nice clean cushions for the pool loungers as well as shade umbrellas that could be placed by the pool. There were also a couple of mountain bikes that (although we did not use them) were a nice amenity for guests. Checkin was very quick and everything was covered well by Roberto. Check out was also very timely with our schedule as we had a train to catch in Florence on our last day.
Impruneta was a very nice little town and easily accessible from the apartment. We had a rental car during our stay here (this was a must) and felt as though we were centrally located to all we wanted to do and see in Tuscany. The only criticism I have is that the coffee maker in the apartment had obviously not been cleaned for a very long time. Someone had left coffee grounds in it and it was moldy and not able to be cleaned for use. A minor inconvenience that really had little impact on our otherwise great experience here. If you are looking for a nice place to stay as you explore Tuscany, I highly recommend this location.
Overall, this was a good space. A friend and I stayed here for a few days in late April during our time in Italy. It was a good price for the location and had enough space for both of us. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and then the couch pulls out for a full bed. It is really beautiful out there and the town of Impruneta is maybe 2 miles away. You will need a car to get here - it'll make your life so much easier. We rented from Florence and it's about 35 minutes from Florence. When we arrived and were shown around the property and they walked us through the rules. They also gave us a bottle of their homemade olive oil which was sweet. Everything you need is in the apartment to cook or anything. And there's a Coop in town and great bakeries and stuff.
Our issues came when we were communicating through the site. Once we got to the point of no refund, we received paperwork with instructions and property rules. Okay, cool. But then we saw the deposit and the electricity fee, which wasn't listed in the full price originally. When I contested those fees, especially the electricity fee (which was blank in the paperwork, so they could fill it in upon arrival, but I was told wouldn't be more than 8-10EUR), I got a response saying they would waive the electricity fee. Apparently the person we thought we'd been communicating with wasn't the person we were actually talking to.
The people who greeted us didn't seem to know about the conversations we'd had, even though it was their names at the end of the messages. They declined the security deposit, which was fine, but when we were checking out we were hit with an electricity bill of 69EUR for 3 days, and we were only in the space in the evenings. Good thing I had the email communications so that I could contest. "Beatrice" had no idea about the waiver and had to call "Beatrice" to check if that was correct. So we're standing there like, HUH?! WHO IS BEATRICE?! Literally, like a segment of Scandal. It was just weird and kinda shady.
The wifi went out the 2nd day we were there and didn't come back up, but we were told it was working again. There is wifi in the coffee shops in town. Also there are other people living on the property who aren't apart of the rental so you'll need to text "Beatrice" and Andrea with questions if you can't find them.
It was good for the first time in Tuscany, but I will probably stay elsewhere next time.
Lovely home for a relaxing holiday!
What a perfect place for a holiday! My husband and I stayed at this sweet and charming home for 1 week and had the most amazing time. The place was so peaceful as it’s located at the end of a private road so you really have quiet surroundings and privacy. We enjoyed lounging by the pool, hiking around the property, and sipping wine outside in the evenings..we were truly able to unwind and relax! The owner was very accommodating and respectful, providing us with tips about what to see in the area. One of my favorite parts was heading to the square of Impruneta and exploring the market with tons of local products, and we had a delicious Italian dinner at a nearby restaurant. We would love to come back again, thank you for a wonderful experience!
Wonderful place and close to Florence!
Wow, I cannot recommend this home enough! Beautifully renovated with a true Itlalian feel. It was very warm most days so we were thankful that the entire house was air conditioned and had a nice pool to enjoy a refreshing swim in during the day. There’s even a wood burning pizza oven, and the owner hosted a fun pizza night where we dined outside on the nice patio and enjoyed authentic Italian pizza, what an incredible experience! The historical village of Impruneta is very close to the property, we ventured there a few times during our stay to explore the restaurants and local shops. Florence is also very nearby so we were easily able to visit the historic museums (Palazzo Vecchio, Duomo, etc.). Our holiday ended up being full of variety, we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!
Beautiful views in amazing location
I stayed in this quaint home in the countryside with a couple of friends, and we all want to come back already! The area is so unique and wonderful, the village of Impruneta was great for exploring local shops and we took an amazing tour of the pottery painting workshops where we saw how they make the clay and form the beautiful vases. This was such an unexpected experience that I will treasure forever! Wine tasting in Greve was another highlight of the trip, there are wineries spread across the region of Greve in Chianti so we got to try some delicious local wines that I was happy to take home with me. On days that we just wanted to hang back at the house, we enjoyed lounging by the pool and gazing out onto the beautiful hills full of vineyards and olive trees..what a view! The owner really did a nice job of making the place comfortable, nice, and easy for us to enjoy our vacation. I highly recommend this home!
