|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
The 3 story house has been lovingly converted from a 300yr old barn into a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house with traditional Tuscan tile floors and wood beam ceilings. 2 of the bedrooms have double beds and the 3rd room has twin beds. All three rooms have mountain views. The house is fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, TV/DVD player (for watching DVD's only), wi-fi and superb fittings and fixtures. Egyptian cotton linen and towels add a taste of luxury.
The house is at the top of the village and is on a steep and fairly narrow road. This is accessible by car but maybe a struggle in some conditions and low-power cars could struggle. There is parking for one car outside the house and ample car parking in the village with a short walk up to the house. The nearest airport is Pisa which is 75kms away (1hr20 driving time)
The outdoor area consists of upper and lower terraces with a BBQ and outdoor eating area. There is also a garden with a couple of hammocks and a swimming pool. There are stunning views from the terraces and swimming pool.
We are a family of three who love Italy and in particular Tuscany. We travel widely in Europe and further afield. We intend to carry on travelling and we plan to use our house in Tuscany a number of times through the year.
Reneé Dodd purchased this house in 2013
We bought Casa Rosa because we fell in love with it at first sight! It offered exactly what we were looking for; location, facilities, views, size and character.
Casa Rosa has both fantastic character and modern facilities in a beautiful area of Tuscany that allows for most of the main sights & the ski slopes to be reached on day trips.
We had a lovely stay in a very pretty house. Nice pool, great terrace with BBQ, good beds, well equipped kitchen and lovely rustique feeling/mix modern comfort. Real mountain feeling, maybe to remote for some....
With wifi and DVD-player with lots of nice Dvd's (for rainy moments)
Our old Volvo didn't love the steep driveway (fully packed), we ended up walking up/down (burn off the pizza's),
Driving to Bagni was a nice trip in combo with a supermarket visit (Conrad). The village San Cassiano was nice scenery but didn't offer much (small grocery/butcher/little restaurant) No problem, we didn't need entertainment.
Thanks for a nice holiday-memory!
Our house is located in the mountains behind Bagni di Lucca in a quiet village. There are exceptional views from the house and garden. The house provides an excellent base for exploring Northern Tuscany including Lucca, Pisa and the stunning Apennines mountainous region which affords skiing/snowboarding in the winter and walking in the summer.
