Overview

About the property

3 bedrooms /2 bathrooms in a super-convenient San Marco location

All of Venice is your oyster and Ca’ Rossini 2 a hidden pearl ! - recently restored into a template for modern apartment living and offering 3 bedroom /2 bathroom in a super-convenient San Marco location.

Admirably tucked away just a quick sidestep off the vibrant little shop-filled thoroughfare known as ‘Calle della Mandola’ (Street of the Almond) connecting Campo Santo Stefano and Campo Sant’ Angelo with the famous Rialto Bridge and district to the north and St. Mark’s Square and its myriad attractions to the south, Ca’ Rossini 2 is spread over three levels (starting on the third floor) and accessed by way of an entrance and staircase on the floor below.

Sleeping 4+1, offering internet connection and air-conditioning throughout and named after the adjacent ‘Multisala Rossini’ complex (recently opened and handily housing a 3-screen cinema, bar, restaurant and supermarket for stocking up on supplies), the bottom floor of the apartment comprises a main open plan living/dining/fully-fitted kitchen area with light wooden flooring and whitewashed beams - a pristine sanctuary of style and contemporary elegance where sleek furnishings, clean lines, soft lighting and pale driftwood colours combine to create a soothing ambience of calm and urban sophistication.

To one side of the room sits the master bedroom with a double bed and direct access onto its own little south-facing terrace, while to the other lies a modern mosaic-tiled bathroom with shower and washing machine and a staircase rising directly into Ca’ Rossini 2’s second livingroom on the floor above. Beautifully co-ordinated in keeping with the rest of the apartment, the bedroom has a double bed which nestles beneath the eaves and its own stylish en-suite bathroom* (again with extensive mosaic tiling and a shower) plus a further staircase leading up to a little bijou open bedroom with single bed sitting beneath the beams on the very top floor.*

* Please be aware that access to this bathroom and the single bedroom on the top floor is exclusively via the second bedroom. Do feel free to give us a call if you would like further details!

Are you part of a larger group who would like to stay close together but in separate apartments? We offer another apartment in this building: Ca’ Rossini 1

About Annalisa & Daniela

Views on Venice was founded in the late 1990's when the concept of short term apartment rentals was in its infancy and rarely considered an option by most visitors to the city. As a ‘thirty-something' Venetian excited by the new business and communication opportunities offered by the internet, I decided to link up with a close childhood friend in creating a partnership which, at the time, was a novelty in Venice.

The idea we had in mind was to approach the traditional management of my family's apartments from an entirely different angle, while at the same time resisting the attentions of those wanting to transform my family's palazzo into a prestigious hotel.

Our aim was to offer these apartments, as well as those of friends, for rental to an international clientele who'd take pleasure in the comfort, freedom and authenticity of ‘living at home as a Venetian' rather than merely observing the city from the confines of an anonymous hotel room or suite.

The common denominator then, as now, was to offer ‘something extra' amidst an already extraordinary city - an added dimension which turns a ‘stay' into an ‘experience' and a 'dream' into 'reality'...

Guestbook comments from the manager

Just a few minutes walk from the unmissable San Marco Piazza - yet sublimely peaceful. It was in immaculate condition throughout and made our stay in this exquisite city just perfect.

Thank you Annalisa, Daniela, Marta and all at Views on Venice who made this holiday experience for us.

Great apartment centrally located - easy walk to Rialto Bridge area and Piazza San Marco. Very clean and comfortable for a family of 4. Management company very professional. Would definitely rent it again.

It felt like home

  • 5 of 5

Having traveled to Venice well over 30 times during my lifetime,I wanted to share my experiences with my family. We rented this wonderful Villa in the Sky. It was my birthday...a big one.

All was well appointed ,new and working beautifully , the teen boy stayed on the top floor and loved it. My son on the 2nd level and my daughter on the first with me.

We only had two problems the entire time

1. We were not shown how to turn on the cook top .so no cooking only eating out or microwaving....FYI I am not much into cooking anyway.

2. The sofa was way too small for 4 people to sit and watch movies or visit. I saw Rossini 1 and their beautiful Sofa would have been more suitable for our apartment which had three bedroom and potentially 6 people. We had only 4 but there was not enough comfortable seating for us. The cushions were worn.

Other than that, all was wonderful and we would stay there again.

I thank Irene for greeting us when we arrived

My best

Gigi from Chicago and family.

Property met all the needs of 2 couples in Venice for 5 days

Location was terrific. Well equipped and spacious. Stairs not bad. Sofa too low for comfort and inadequate extension cords for lights upstairs

Great Location and Apartment

  • 5 of 5

After we got off the train and found our stop for the water bus we were met at the San Angelo boat stop by Camilla. We had prearranged for a porter to take our luggage to the apt. After a short walk we arrived at the apartment. It is about 40 easy steps up to the apartment. It was a super spacious place. Camilla got us acquainted with the place and gave us some helpful information. There were only two of us and there was room for 4-6 people. We didn’t even use the third bedroom. The showers were a great size and the beds comfortable. It’s in a a great location, close to boat stops, shopping and restaurants. You can walk everywhere, very easily. The scenery is great along the way. This was an amazing place to stay while in Venice. Ciao!

Good location and clean facility

Had an issue where we lost hot water for one full day, but the property management company was quick to have a person come out and fix the issue. Overall, a very good experience.
