Beautiful and very old house périgourdine 18th fully restored

Le Moulin de Bas Villeverneix is ​​an ancient mansion completely restored family, a paradise for lovers of nature: trees, water, birds, fish.

The property includes a house for 6 people and a pigeon house for 2 people for a total home for 8 persons.

THE HOUSE :

On the ground floor: large living room and dining room (70m2), monumental fireplace open on both sides.

Kitchen: dishwasher, oven, microwave, 5 burner hob, fridge freezer.

Technical room with washing machine, iron and ironing board,

 WC,

Upstairs :

3 bedrooms with 140 bed. Each room has its own bathroom (sink, shower, WC) with heated towel rail and reversible air conditioning.

In front of the house, large meadow,

 carport.

You also have access to an island of over a hectare:

nestled in a green, bordered on one side by the stream Vern, the other by the mill channel, a charming pigeon house on the edge of a small pond and a waterfall, and a pergola adjoining the loft surrounded by a wooded area and part meadow.

1 kitchen with fireplace for grilling, gas, fridge.

Upstairs, a bedroom, which is accessed by a ladder miller, fitted with a 140 bed, a sink, a toilet, a reversible air conditioning.

Under the arbor, a large table and 8 chairs.

Hammocks, Chilean, deckchairs invite to rest in this special place.

Nice property and area

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed the property and surrounding areas.

I would mention that the Dovecote is a fair distance from the house and a car is needed when its dark for light purposes. The dovecote is not suitable for adults maybe teenages, its very bleak and smells of damp and the ladder leading to the bedroom is very steep. I would also mention that you are asked to pay for the electricity you use and also for towels to be supplied, which is all additional costs not mentioned in the porperty details.

The owner only speaks french, which is quite difficult when making cash transactions.

Really high quality gite with friendly owner

A fantastic place to stay. Great position; 2 minutes drive (10 minutes max walk) to a butchers, boulangerie, bank, newsagent, bar, supermarket and petrol station, yet still feels like a quiet and relaxing location.The house is lovely, spotlessly clean and finished to a much higher standard than most gites e.g. open fire, air conditioning (and heaters) in every room. The private island garden opposite, with the pigeonnier, makes you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside (without the downside of being miles away from a kettle!) The owner is welcoming and helpful without being obtrusive. Despite the terrible weather, we (and our dog) had a wonderful holiday. Would highly recommend.

This is the most fantastic and unusual property you can possibly rent!

We spent two delightful weeks there with our two dogs. Excellent and very well equipped house with extraordinary charm. Very friendly and generous hosts. And a charming island!!!

super Ausgangspunkt zum Erkunden der wunderschönen Gegend und zum Erholen

Wir, eine Familie mit Teanagern, haben hier einen schönen, erholsamen Urlaub verbracht. Leider nur eine Woche. Die drei Schlafzimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet und jedes verfügt über ein Bad. Das Wohnzimmer und der Essbereich sind liebevoll dekoriert und auch groß genug für 6 Personen. Wir haben zwar das auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite auf einem sehr großen Grundstück befindliche idyllische Taubenhaus nicht zur Übernachtung genutzt. Man konnte dort aber ungestört draußen sitzen. Zum Grillen und für ein Picknick ist dort alles vorhanden. Der Ort Neuvic bietet für einen relativ kleinen Ort mit Schloss, einem schönen Park, einer Kaviarfarm, einer Ölmühle, einem Schwimmbad, Reiten und Kanufahren reichlich Ausflugsziele. Nach Perigueux ist es nicht weit und man kann fast jeden Tag einen anderen Markt in der Gegend besuchen und sich mit ausgezeichnetem Obst, Gemüse und den regionalen Köstlichkeit eindecken.Im Ort gibt es einen Bäcker bzw. Konditor und daneben einen Fleischer, die beide über ein sehr ansprechendes Sortiment verfügen. Eine Bank und ein Supermarkt sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Mdm. Beau hat uns ausgezeichnete Tips gegeben, insbesondere auch für das Essen, ihre Pfirsichmarmelade war äusserst lecker! So lässt es sich leben! Vielen Dank!
