Farmhouse near Pell City, AL

Great location! Quiet country farm living - nice fire ring, ponds, creek - neighbors were cows and Valentine the donkey - perfect for our stay! This is a great place for a famiky holiday - huge screened room and the house is quirky and cool - thanks to the AC - all the modern amenities in a very clean house and grounds.

Beautiful, peaceful country farm. Cows and donkey are fun to watch. Fishing was nice. Good walks. Nice large sun room to hang out in. Very nice oweners.

Relaxation

Thank you Allen and Ester for sharing your wonderful country home. We devoured the delicious bread upon arrival. The setting was so peaceful and relaxing. It was the perfect location to attend the Barber Motorcycle Festival and not too far away to be away from the hustle and bustle of festival traffic.

Allen and I are retired and recently restored this farmhouse to enjoy in our spare time. We have spent many hours hiking in the woods, fishing in the pond, cooling off by the creek, watching the sunset and listening to the crickets at night. This farm sits on 100 acres of beautiful rolling pasture where our cows and donkey graze. If hiking is your thing there are more ambitious hills and woods to hike through on the property. My favorite spot is hanging out at the creek on a hot day and dipping my toes in the icy cold fresh running water. If you like fishing, just walk out the front door, cross the road and plop yourself down on the bank of the 5 acre pond stocked with bass and bream. Or just take a good book and sit on the front porch swing for the afternoon. It's our favorite retreat and we want to share it with you.

It's comfortable and cozy with updated amenities and plenty of room to spread out. This property is private, but not secluded. If you want to go to town for a little antiquing or grocery shopping, you're just a 15 minute drive away. This property is very convenient to downtown Birmingham, Talladega Speedway, Logan Martin Lake and Barber Motorsports Museum. It's also walking distance from the Full Circle Horse Farm.
