Spacious, comfortable, and well located, this house is a great gathering place for extended family or a group of friends, easily accommodating 8 people. The house is almost entirely on one level.
The living room, with cozy seating around a warm inviting remote controlled gas fireplace, flows easily up 3 steps to a large family room with picture windows looking out to the private backyard and up at Prospect Mountain. Couches and easy chairs, along with plenty of floor space provide comfy seating for reading, lounging, or game playing (the house has a number of games and puzzles, but feel free to bring your own favorites!). There is also a large TV with a BluRay player and streaming for your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and HBO accounts. On a good-sized table in the family room, you can lay out a map to plan your next hike, play cards, work on a puzzle, or simply enjoy the view of Prospect Mountain from the picture windows.
The kitchen has lots of work space including a breakfast bar that can seat two --to help with food prep or simply entertain the cooks! It is well-equipped and should even have everything needed to prepare a large holiday meal. The dining table comfortably seats eight. Walk out to the private terrace where you can grill if you so choose.
The main master bedroom suite provides a retreat of its own. On its own at one end of the house, several shallow steps down, it is a super spacious area with a king bed and private bath with walk-in shower. It also has a comfortable sitting area with a love seat, side table, and sitting chair. A large flat screen TV, on a swivel, can be watched from bed or sitting area. If, heaven forbid, you have some work to do or communications to keep up with, there is also a writing table and chair.
A second master has a king bed and a bathroom that can be kept private or shared with the bunk bedroom, as a "Jack and Jill." There is also a comfortable sitting chair and table in this master and a great view of the back yard.
The Queen room is a light cozy and comfortable room with a dresser and chair.
The "Bunkroom" has a full bed on the bottom and a twin on top. There is also a writing desk and chair in this room.
