Stay if you like the chance of a house invasion
I'll start by saying I am not a person who usually does reviews for good or bad unless they are exceptional. This one was exceptional, in a bad way. On the last night night of our stay in this property my family was asleep when around 2 am I awoke to hear someone in our rental yelling at my son what he was doing there (he was sleeping on the couch). I quickly awoke and ran out to see what was going on. I see two men in the living room and they start insisting that I am trespassing. I tell them that I rented this place and then one of the men says he owns this place. I explain to him that I rented it and it's the last night of our stay. He insists we should not be there and so I tell them they need to go outside and I am going to get dressed and come out to talk with him. Meanwhile my wife gets the phone to find our reservation and I get dressed and take the reservation confirmation outside. I show the men our rental agreement and explain that we will be out of here at 6 am to catch a flight so they can come back then. I go back in to the unit and 10 minutes later there is a knock on the door. I open the door and there about 6 police and one tells me they are investigating a break in. I clear this up and they then leave. Throughout this whole episode the owner was rude and demanding. I never received any apology for this incident. I am also troubled by the fact that the owner had the door lock code which should be changed between residents. I wish the next renters better luck.
