About ALEXANDROS GOLFINOPOULOS
Hello! We are two brothers, an architect and a marine scientist from Greece. We love travelling and meeting new people from around the world. Our goal is to produce a luxury experience for your group and create the vacation of your dreams. Welcome to Villa Aria - a place to make memories that last a lifetime!
ALEXANDROS GOLFINOPOULOS purchased this Villa in 2000
Why ALEXANDROS GOLFINOPOULOS chose Ermioni
On top of all the glitz and glam this villa has to offer, it holds a special place in our hearts as our family built it from scratch. We crafted every aspect of the villa to fit the needs of our family and used it as our vacation home for 15 years. The unique location, variety of activities and sensational views are a few reason we want to share our villa with you.
What makes this Villa unique
An amazing sandy beach at your doorstep makes this villa unique! The water is calm and shallow, not reaching a depth of 1m until 20m out, making it suitable for children. It is a natural swimming pool! Another special benefit of the villa is the variety of athletic activities you can choose from. Pick from sailing and canoe rides to sunset yoga, ping pong tournaments and much more! There is also a full sized tennis court which can turned into a volleyball court to be used at your leisure!

Astonishing view, a step from the beach
Me and my business partner are going to organize a mini company event and we stayed at Villa Aria for 2 nights to see if it suits for us.
The Villa is absolutely amazing for our purpose. The rooms are very comfortable, and it has big shared living areas in which our colleagues can spent time and have launch all together. Moreover, there are a lot of activities that someone can do such as watersports, tennis, ping pong, a wooden deck by the sea for yoga lesson, etc.
The local area is quiet, and everything is close by car. In additon, for history lovers, there are some archeological sites nearby, where someone can visit.
The host of Villa Aria, Alexandros, was very helpful. He showed us the house and the local area and suggested some ideas for our event. He also offered to make some arrangements for our event such as: to find a Greek traditional music band, yoga teacher, photographer, etc.
Villa's highlight is its location, once it is literally a "breath" from the sea! The view is breathtaking and peaceful! Villa Aria is the right place to relax, to create bonds with your colleagues and to make the best memories!
We are looking forward to coming back!

"A breath of life"
We have spent wonderful days in Villa Aria! From the moment we arrived, we were convinced this was a great choice. The owner, Alex gave us a warm welcome and had prepared some delicious food which was just what we needed after the trip. He helped us with all our small requests during the stay, gave us recommendations and generally just made us feel welcome and at ease.
The house is everything the pictures promise, and more! Beautiful, great taste, very well maintained, cozy with a beautiful garden.
The new deck area at the west side of the villa, where we were sitting in the evenings watching the sunset was amazing. It was also a great place to practice yoga!
The outdoor furniture, tables, chairs, sofa and sunbeds was exactly what we needed to relax. All the benefits /amenities the villa provided, e.g. new air condition in the living room, new comfortable beds, the canoes at the beach and the tennis court, everything was really fantastic!!
Although we stayed at the main area of the villa, Alex took us for a tour to the other areas, guest house and ground floor, and we can really say that everything we saw represents the meaning of luxury vacations!
We would love to come again and we surely recommend villa Aria to everyone!
We had many very good rentals, but this was the best we had !
With one single word: Genourosity.
The owners Alex and Konstantinos are two warm persons.
They wellcomed us with a warm meal for 17 persons.
The frig was fully with products for us.
The house is really a home.
Every thing was really perfect 🇬🇷❤️ We shall always remember those fantastic days we spent together in this special place.
Villa Aria is set above a beautiful Sandy cove - the photographs on the website make it seem like this is the only property on the beach but there are two other villas that sit within the little cove, plus there is public access to the beach. We were two families of five and whilst the Villa states it sleeps 16 there are in fact only 4 double bedrooms in the main villa. Below the villa is a self contained flat with two more double bedrooms (although you could fit more beds in one of the rooms if required), there is a kitchenette and two bathrooms. There are a further 2 :double bedrooms in a bunker style annexe by the tennis court - no views and not a very nice place to have to stay. The main villa has one bedroom in the ground floor which has an ensuite and is a true master bedroom, the three double bedrooms upstairs share two bathrooms and whilst two have views the third bedroom has no outlook, therefore if you are two families there is only really one proper master bedroom suite.
The living space in the Villa is adequate as most time is spent outside, however they do really need air conditioning in the kitchen/sitting room area. I wouldn't say the accommodation is luxurious but there are nice touches like the Korres bathroom products (which I love).
The outside space is lovely but more thought should have been given to shady areas, especially for eating breakfast etc - quite limited. The quality of the ouside furniture could be better, only two wooden sun beds and even the mattresses on these are thin and uncomfortable.
The real plus of this villa and its location is the beautiful sea and small beach, the villa provides numerous "toys" for water activities. The Dinghy is a real bonus if you have budding sailors. Alex, the owner, is never far away and deals with any issues and requests - he is charming and was brilliant with our teenagers, nothing is too much trouble.
Alex has two ladies that help him and they are equally brilliant, we had massages and the teenagers enjoyed a treasure hunt, they also looked after our daughters one day when we went out for the day. Angela is available to cook and do breakfast, we had brekfast everyday which she prepares and then clears away afterwards.
The tennis court was great for evening tennis and a dip in the sea afterwards was wonderful. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week, special thanks to Alex.
Ideal holiday for family celebrations
We were 10 in all (though the house would have comfortably taken more), aged from 4 to 80. And we came from all over the UK and US to celebrate significant birthdays and anniversaries occurring this summer. And we had a perfect week thanks to Alex and his team - especially Angela who prepared us two evening meals and a breakfast that were wonderful. The room layout allowed us to be in small family units when we wanted, but meet up easily in the many communal areas, both indoors and out. Our 4 year old loved the beach and the many areas he could run round in; our 80 year old loved the beach and the areas she could stroll round. The rest of us sailed, played tennis, sat in the sun or shade, chatted and snoozed to our hearts content!
Hi John, thank you for your great and to-the-point review. It is very much appreciated, and it will certainly be helpful to other guests. We love having family and friend groups celebrating and having precious memorize to remember from there visit and stay at our villa! It was a definite pleasure welcoming you and having you as guests, and we hope to hear from you again soon! Warm regards, Alex
Slice of heaven, right on the sea
This is a very special place and the owners are very special people. We had a truly memorable holiday here last year and one of the first things we did on returning home was book again for this summer - two families with children aged 4 to 10. All ages are excited about this - we can't wait.
- Yes the location is exceptional - it really is that close to the sea
- Yes it is as clean and comfortable as it looks
- Yes it is in plenty of space - there are neighbouring properties of course (one owned by the same family) but your privacy is not compromised in any way
- Yes the property comes with any number of paddle boards, kayaks, snorkels etc - and sun loungers if that is your preference
But what doesn't show in the photos is how much effort the owners put in to ensuring your stay is a good one. This starts way before you get to Greece.
Some so-called great customer service can feel overbearing and over the top; here the balance is perfect - there seems to be a genuine wish to create great experiences rather than just great repeat custom. All the way down to the tiny details, the owners really took care of us and for that reason in particular we have no hesitation in recommending this place to the world. Only please leave a week spare for us.....
thank you very much for your detailed and warm review. I'm sure it will be really helpful for future enquirers!
I’m happy to find you had a wonderful stay and that everything lived up to your expectations! It inspires us and make us really happy to see our guests enjoying their stay, relaxing and having such a great time.
I’m looking forward seeing you again this summer!
Wishing you all the best for everything!
The villa is on the mainland between Porto Heli town (approximately 15min drive) and the picturesque fishing village of 'Koilada'. In Koilada (5min drive) you visit fishing taverns and taste the Mediterranean cuisine. There is also a pharmacy nearby.
A little further away, from Costa port (5min drive from Porto Heli), sea taxis take visitors to Spetses island (10 min). In Spetses you can find many historical buildings, museums, art galleries as well as restaurants bars and bouzouki clubs from 'Dapia' to 'Old harbor' and 'Agia Marina', and even more remote beaches.
Hydra island is a little further away, 35min drive to Porto Hydra from the villa and then 15min with the sea taxi to Hydra town. Hydra is famous for its picturesque architecture, the vivid nightlife and cosmopolitan character. Hiking is a popular thing to do as the island is crossed by many walking paths that lead to impressive spots with sea view and historical monasteries.
Also, in the mainland you can visit Nafplion (the first capital of Greece – 1:20hr drive) and Mycenae! Ancient Mycenae is to the Peloponnese what the Acropolis is to Athens. Mycenae is one of the most important archeological sites in Greece, giving its name to a whole civilization, the Greek bronze age between 1700BC and 1100BC and according to mythology it was the home of Agamemnon and Menelaus. In Nafplion you can visit the historical castle of 'Palamidi', 'Bourtzi' (the Venetian fortress), the war museum and other castles.
We recommend guests who visit our villa to visit Spetses, Hydra, Nafplion and Mycenae (one daytrip for Nafplion and Mycenae together) and if you have more time you can visit the ancient theater of Epidaurus where you can watch live performances and see the Temple of Asclepius (Greek god of health and well-being).
