Description

Photos and Description of this holiday apartment in Kemptown - Bijou Belgrave Brighton Beach

Bright Regency Studio All-inclusive Rate. Up To 3 People, 2 Sleeping Areas

Enjoy Bohemian Kemptown on a budget! Ideal for couples, a group of friends or small families (up to 3 guests) - quiet, compact and relaxing bijou style studio apartment with direct seaview situated in Kemptown offering plenty of activities in- and outside, with the beach or an inspiring range of antique shops, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, a cooking school, a gym with personal trainer, newsagents and supermarket and discounter all only a stone's throw away. Just call us on 0044 7906 521536 about anything you wish to know or arrange in advance.

Large south-facing windows with sunny aspect to be enjoyed from breakfast to dinner. Newly decorated with pine floorboards, flatscreen tv, dvd/cd player, speakers and lots of games including a pool / table tennis table to be stored away in a corner.

There is a separate small sleeping area (190cm x 140cm) with a double bed which sleeps two people cosily and which can just be left behind in the morning. In the main living area there is an additional sofa bed (190cm x 100cm); so Bijou Belgrave Brighton Beach currently sleeps up to three if announced in advance and at no extra cost. Please note this second sleeping area is for occasional use and the property would be small for three people for an extended period of time.

The apartment comes with a fully equipped compact kitchen area (fridge with freezer compartment, 2 ceramic hobs, kettle, toaster and combination oven with microwave) and a separate bathroom with towel heater including family bath. Gas central heating warms everything up in minutes with instant hot water in bath and kitchen area.

Not suitable for people with restricted mobility. Car not recommended due to central location.

Linen and towels provided for up to three guests (weekly change), end cleaning costs (as opposed to basic cleaning which has to be done by holidaymakers) and all utilities - gas, electricity, water, TV, wifi - are all included in rental rates. There are no further fees for anything else. What you see at the top is the all inclusive price.

About Bernd Sass

My dream has always been to live by the sea and have a half-decent job, and I have achieved it in Brighton (due to its proximity to London). When I can, I love to stay in this property myself.

Bernd Sass purchased this apartment in 2012

Why Bernd Sass chose East Sussex

Bijou Belgrave Brighton Beach is fully refurbished with all mod cons. It is south-facing and tucked away just behind the busy seafront, still giving a glimpse of a direct seaview through a twitten. Top (2nd) floor and no next door neighbours so very quiet and chilled place.

What makes this apartment unique

Right in the middle of it all with all mod cons and even pool and ping pong table, games and DVDs for a quiet night in.

petit appart très bien situé !

  • 4 of 5

Cozy, sunny little apartment in Kemptown

  • 5 of 5

Fast, uncomplicated check in, everything needed available, the bed was a little short for us but oh so comfy! The apartment was a slight squeeze for us three but the location is unbeatable and the bus service brilliant. Lots of info for activities provided, as well as wifi. Very good value for money.

Car: not necessary

Sussex nestles on the rolling chalk hills of the South Downs National Part and along the English south coast. It is one of the sunniest places in the country! Its 80 miles of coastline means there are super beaches for the family and groups of friends. Inland you will find the characteristic English idyll of quaint villages with flint walled, thatched cottages with lovely gardens come to life. You will find in its abundance history and heritage, castles, abbeys, priories, stately homes and historic houses. There are family amusement parks and wildlife centres, museums of bygones and steam railways.

Walkers and outdoor enthusiasts will love the varied paths and bridleways and should not leave without having walked, cycled or ridden on horseback along the superb, scenic South Downs Way; taking in the majestic white cliffs at Beachy Head or its highest point at Blackdown.

Sussex boasts many cultural centres such as Brighton and Chichester to 'kiss me quick' seaside resorts of Hastings and Bognor Regis to splendid isolation such as Ashdown Forest where Winnie the Pooh played 'Pooh Sticks'.

Sussex will always lead you back to the sea where Brighton is the highlight along its coast. This city sometimes called London-by-the Sea will never fail to disappoint with its bustling nightlife, unique lifestyles, cultural and artistic and sporting traditions.

Brighton is the vibrant cultural centre of the South coast, and is regularly called the gay capital with its open-minded and liberal take on life. This is exemplified by the Prince Regent - well known for his decadent and playful lifestyle for whom the masterpiece, the Pavillion, was built. The narrow throughfares and 'twittens' that characterise the area were built to the original medieval town plan. Explore Brighton’s history at the Fishing Museum and cultural quarter where the city's museum can be found.

A stroll out to sea will take you on Brighton's last remaining pier - one of Britains most visited free attractions, or take a ride on the Volks – England’s oldest electric railway with the halfway station just a few steps down from Brighton Bijou. In summer open top buses are one of the best ways to see Brighton and the surrounding South Downs National Park.

ARTS & CULTURE

Brighton is home to artists, designers, writers, pop stars, actors and creative people of all kinds. Perhaps that’s why the arts are so much part of everyday life here. Just walking round you will see art and sculpture on the street and beachfront, and there are galleries and studios showing up-and-coming work by local talent. Brighton is home to many street artists' work either commissioned or less 'unofficial' for those seeking a more urban feel.

In May you will catch the annual Brighton Festival and Fringe, which takes over the city as the biggest arts fiesta in England. For four weeks, tens of thousands of people come to see hundreds of events from contemporary dance and lunchtime recitals to street theatre performances and artists’ open houses. The Great Escape runs at the same time and has now become a firm favourite with new music afficionados of all styles. Throughout the year there are festivals of jazz, dance and animated theatre, heritage weekends, plays, live music, opera, fringe theatre, cinema, comedy and cabaret - come in October to catch the spectacular White Night Festival and in December the Burning of the Clocks Parade - just two of our favourites.

Just out of Brighton you will find Glyndebourne for opera lovers and the Charleston Book festival.

The Brighton and Hove / Kemptown area

A sparkling mix of sea, city, contemporary and history makes Brighton a perfect break at any time of year. There’s elegant Regency architecture, museums and galleries, great shopping, stylish cafés, bars and restaurants, cool nightlife, arts and theatre – and all the fun of the seaside,

If you do come by car, there is some on-street metered parking to the right of the property on the seafront - currently £5 per 24 hours (as of December 2012).
