Two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with secluded sunshine decking.

Ocean deck is a quality ground floor apartment within a former Victorian priory. Set in two acres of woodland gardens it has panoramic sea views from its own secluded decking.

This stunning retreat has been refurbished in a simple contemporary style, with all the luxuries you would expect in an apartment of this quality.

The apartment boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms and can sleep four to six people with a quality fully sprung sofa/bed in the open plan living area.

There are patio doors leading out to a large decked terrace, where you can dine, relax and soak up the beautiful scenery in the sunshine.

Ocean deck is excellent all year round accommodation. In the winter it is cosy and warm. Wrap up and enjoy the winter walking, come back to a hot drink at night and watch the ships sheltering in the bay.

Ocean Deck is managed by Steve and Caroline Scutt who live locally with their own family. They are all keen hikers and cyclists themselves so can direct you to some interesting locations off the main beat. They will greet you on arrival and are easy to contact should you have any needs during your stay.

Why Steve and Caroline Scutt chose Isle of Wight

Ocean Deck is warm and welcoming. Couples, families and friends feel equally at home here.

It is situated on a coastal footpath. Just a few steps and you are up on the downs, enjoying both coastal and countryside scenery. Nearby, unspoilt fishing villages are waiting to be explored and Miles of country cycle track are close by too!

The apartment sits in and shares two acres of landscaped gardens to wander or relax in, watching our protected red squirrels and wildlife. The bay you can see from the garden is sandy and safe, a ten minute lovely stroll through Rylstone Gardens nearby.

What makes this apartment unique

We fell in love with Ocean Deck as soon as we drove into the car park and were entranced with the view. It was the famous Round The Island Yacht Race that day. The blue sea was full of bright coloured yachts competing , you could even hear the sailors shouting to each other from the sea!

On the other side, the front of the property, the downs adjoin our quiet little road. So be it sea or country we have it all!

Great views, lovely location

We have just returned from a week’s stay at Ocean Deck Apartment. We would thoroughly recommend the apartment. It was in a great location, private parking, and the sea views are stunning (much better than in the photos!). The apartment itself was spotless and very well equipped, and we were welcomed by homemade scones, passion fruit cheesecakes and Prosecco. We would book it again for any future holidays.

Perfect Holiday Apartment

Ocean Deck is a lovely holiday apartment which is clean, spacious and very well equipped, we were welcomed upon our arrival with a delicious homemade jam and cream cake.

The apartment is located in a very peaceful location, with no busy roads nearby, and has a fantastic view of the sea and culver cliff in the distance.

For those of you who like walking, the apartment is located near the coastal path, a beautiful and very scenic trail which can be followed to Bonchurch and Ventnor. Just outside, guests also have the option to visit the communal gardens where you can see the local wildlife such as birds and red squirrels.

There is now TVs in each of the two bedrooms as well a Freesat TV in the lounge complete with a good selection of family DVD's.

The Rylstone Gardens are also located nearby where you can have a game of crazy golf or listen to the popular brass bands in the evening. Though I must say it can be really relaxing just sitting on the outside veranda listening to the faint sound of the Brass Band from the distance. Guests also have access to The Bourne Hotel indoor swimming pool which is just a few yards down the road, which is a very nice bonus.

Overall we believe this is the perfect apartment and will be definitely visiting again in the future.

Outstanding 1st class holiday home

2nd time in this apartment, we absolutely love it. it is clean, spacious, comfy, beautifully furnished, the kitchen has everything any family would need. the beds are amazingly comfortable to the point i sleep better than i normally do :) Caroline is a wonderful and friendly host who always makes you feel special and her cheese scones are Amazing. this really is a 1st class apartment,with many little touches that make all the difference. can't wait until we are back in september.

Amazing, clean and fully equipped apartment!

Property was perfect for our family of 5. The bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge were spacious and very clean and the kitchen was fully equipped with crockery and ovenware to be able to make anything. There was a table outside as well to ensure we could make the most of good weather. Plenty of towels (including beach towels) were provided and we were met by Caroline who had baked fresh cheese scones and added a treat of Easter eggs along with milk in the fridge! The apartment was close enough to local amenities and attractions and was a lovely place to return to at the end of a busy day. I would certainly recommend it to families and friends who would like to explore the island from a comfortable base.

Perfect cliff top location. Quiet and rural , yet 10 minutes walk into the Old Thatched village of Shanklin where there are lovely restaurants and quaint shops. Only a 10 minute walk through lovely local gardens to beach and thatched inn next to fishing boats.
