Large one bedroom apartment, sleeps 4, in exclusive development close to centre

The SOL RIO development built in 2011 is situated in a quiet but convenient location. The many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops are a short stroll away and the new supermarket is a 5 minute walk. The pool and gardens are peaceful and private with stunning views over the estuary towards the beach. Alvor's stunning beach is a leisurely 10 minute stroll away.

This contemporary, air conditioned apartment includes one large bedroom (which can be configured as one double bed or two singles) with ample storage space. There is a private terrace from the bedroom.

The spacious open plan living area includes a very comfortable double sofa bed, and dining area with seating for four. There is a 48' SMART television, blu-Ray DVD player, movie collection unlimited Wi-Fi and Ipod docking station.

This apartment is fully licensed for rental by the Portuguese authorities Registo No 9499/AL

The modern, fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, hob and oven allowing easy self catering and the large terrace is ideal for dining al fresco or just enjoying the sunset.

The fully tiled, good size bathroom includes bath with shower over, basin (with storage under), toilet and bidet.

The apartment provides everything needed for a relaxing stay in a perfect location.

There is superb outdoor furniture on the private terrace and reserved sunbeds beside the pool, which can be accessed directly from the terrace.

There is underground parking and the development has secured entry.

About Yasmin and Mo Din

We live in Cheshire with our two young daughters and have been regular visitors to Alvor since 2008. We love the beach in Alvor and the relaxed and friendly feel in the village.

Yasmin and Mo Din purchased this apartment in 2013

Why Yasmin and Mo Din chose Portimao region

We first visited Sol Rio in 2011 just after it was finished and were not disappointed. In fact we hadn't even left to come home before we had booked for the following year! The development is small (just 30 units) so the gardens and pool are never crowded. Often (even in August) we have the entire pool to ourselves!

Before buying we looked at other apartments in Alvor, but somehow none had the 'special something' that is Sol Rio - the fabulous location, the contemporary style, the 'at home' feeling.

What makes this apartment unique

Before we bought our own apartment at Sol Rio we always stayed as guests of Helen & Neil. Knowing that Helen and Neil would be on hand to take care of our guests and our apartment made the decision an easy one.

This apartment is very much our home away from home and we aim to make our guests feel welcome and at home. We hope, like us you will enjoy your stay in Alvor and return many times. We want your holiday to be pleasurable and memorable, so if there is anything we or our management team in Portugal can do to make your visit perfect please don't hesitate to ask.

Superb Property in Alvor!

Have visited Alvor many times but this property by far is streets ahead of any other.It is absolutely gorgeous.It is spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly require.The Pingo Doce supermarket 5 mins over the road is wonderful and so convenient.Booking with Yasmin and Mo was a pleasure and their agents Neil and Helen so professional and helpful.We will definitely return only problem is too many people now know our secret! Thank You so much again for a wonderful holiday.

Perfect

The apartment was perfect for us - everything we needed available to us and all beautifully appointed. The pool and gardens are maintained to a really high standard.

The town with shops and restaurants is within very easy walking distance and has everything needed for our stay.

FIRST CLASS AWAY FROM HOME HOLIDAY APARTMENT

Well, I dont know where to start!

I had booked some holiday last minute from work and decided a 10 day break away would be long enough (we usually dont like any longer away from our home comforts) However we should have made it a longer holiday and this is purely based on our beautiful apartment we were lucky enough to book in Alvor

From beginning to end the communication with Yasmin, the owner of Solrio 3B was first class.

Every question I had, every detail I needed was answered via e,mail within a couple of hours (sometimes less)

We arrived at Faro at 11.30pm and was promptly met by Karen, A22 Taxi Transfers that Yasmin had arranged for us. We arrived at the apartment at about 12.20am where Yasmins local friend Neil was waiting for us.

He showed us in to the apartment and gave us all the relevant information we needed to know.

It was so late (or very early) that we didnt take in the apartment really until the next morning.

On waking we then could appreciate the apartment we would be spending the next 10 days in.

WOW - More home from home than my home. Everything we needed was there, from lovely stylish furniture to the little things. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, colour coded chopping boards, lovely plates, cutlery, glasses, mirrors etc etc etc - I could go on but it wasnt just the fact that these things were there it was the quality of them that also made a difference (I have been many places that seem to think that cheap and cheerful is the way to go for holiday makers)

The apartment is spacious, bright and very clean. It really was lovely. The very large terrace was an absolute bonus too as this led directly down to the well maintained, clean pool and surrounding area. Oh and did I mention the view from the terrace? Stunning, especially if you like Sunsets!

Should the weather take a little turn for the worse and you spend a bit of time in then the apartment does have ample TV choices! It also has free unlimited Wifi which worked perfectly for the duration of our stay. (Brilliant if you want to post piccys of your holiday via social media or need to keep in contact with home for free via "WhatsApp" or "Facetime"

The location of the apartment was I would say spot on! I google earthed the apt and indeed the streets around and found that actually everything was a lot closer! The main street straight down to the harbour is a easy 5 - 10 minute stroll (just depends on your pace)

Quality apartment in prime location

The apartment more than lived up to the promise of the photos and the description. It is a high quality, spacious, well appointed apartment in a well located, modern building literally a couple of minutes from the start of the central area of Alvor. The well furnished rear terrace, which is really large, offers a complete contrast - quiet, secluded, with lovely peaceful views over the countryside.

Inside, the apartment is well equipped, tastefully furnished and very comfortable, making it easy to feel relaxed and properly on holiday. The only thing that was not quite right for us were the beds, which we found a bit too hard. We mentioned this to Yasmin in an email and she immediately set about buying mattress toppers! This typifies Yasmin's helpful nature - every communication with her was promptly dealt with in a friendly yet professional manner.

Another bonus for us was the large reserved parking space in the underground car park as we were there with our own car.

Yasmin's local managers, Helen and Neil, were extremely efficient and helpful and very pleasant to deal with.

In Alvor there are a huge number of restaurants ranging from small and cheap to larger and pricier, standards varying from decent to brilliant but always good value for money. Part of the fun is trying out different ones.

We very much enjoyed our walks along the boardwalks in the nature reserve and many coffees at the Restinga Ria cafe down by the river, especially later in the afternoons when we could sit and watch the sun go down whilst enjoying the view of the boats in the estuary.

We wholeheartedly recommend both this apartment and Alvor!

Beautiful apartment and location

Perfect location for quiet relaxing holiday. Stunning apartments with all modcons. Everything you'll need for you stay is at hand including great supermarket on doorstep. Lovely walk to the beach and restraunts. Ruccula being our favourite along with steak house. Pool fantastic and not having to get up early for sunbed is a bonus. Sun on terrace all evening perfect end to the day. We would be back next year only its already booked July and aug, think that says it all. Thanks Yasmin & Mo

Stunning!!

Solrio apartment 3B is truly stunning. It has everything and more. The location is perfect, with only a few moments stroll to Alvors restaurants and bars and to the large supermarket, and yet is very quiet. Booking and the arrangement for entry to apartment were made very easy. Fantastic holiday!

Alvor is a picturesque village, popular with both the Portuguese and those from further afield. The narrow cobbled streets wind down to the fishing harbour where there are many restaurants, cafés, bars and shops.

Fresh local fish is in abundance, together with many traditional Portuguese restaurants as well as BBQ, Italian, Indian and Mexican. Among our personal favourites are D'Angelo, which serves fabulous Italian food at very reasonable prices. Just head for the church and look for the queue out the door and a warm welcome from Rocco.

The fabulous 3 mile beach is rated one of the best on the Algarve and just a 10 minute walk from the property. A leisurely walk along the boardwalk, through the nature reserve, can take you from the beach side restaurants and sun loungers to a deserted area of golden sand.

Alvor is popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers, offering ideal, safe conditions, and a kitesurf school. You can simply watch this exhilarating sport from the sand dunes or if you're feeling more adventurous take a few lessons from Nelson at Alvor Kitesurf School.

For golf enthusiasts the Penina Championship Golf Course is approximately 10 minutes away by car, the Palmares about 20 minutes by car and Boa Vista about 40 minutes. Other golf courses (Alto, Gramacho and Quinta de Morgado) are all about a 15 minute drive away.

Boat trips are available from Alvor harbour or from Lagos or Portimao marinas. Family entertainment includes two water parks, a marine park with dolphin and seal shows (all with bus service) and a zoo at Lagos.

Historic places to visit by car or coach tour include Lagos, Silves and Loule and there are tours to the Monchique Mountains and jeep safaris to the surrounding area.
