Tucked away on two acres in rural Metchosin, you’ll find this charming, recently renovated 1 bedroom suite with garden views. Ideal getaway for Snowbirds during the winter months as well. This suite is stocked with all your living needs, including in suite laundry, and will provide you with a comfortable, clean and peaceful stay while you relax or explore at nature’s doorstep. Enjoy your private balcony for breakfast or an afternoon happy hour overlooking the garden where you can also watch the various wildlife. We also have a recently constructed official-sized pickleball court on the property that guests have access to.

There is easy access to the historic Galloping Goose Trail as well as the many stunning ocean beaches and park trails at Witty's Lagoon Regional Park, Devonian, Tower Point, East Sooke Park and Matheson Lake Regional Park.

All amenities such as restaurants, bars, movie theatres, grocery and shopping stores are within 15 minutes driving distance. Royal Roads University is an easy 15 minute commute
This suite is ideal for a couple, but we can accommodate a baby with the use of a pack ‘n play.

2 Weeks+ at Metchosin

Loved staying here. Great spot for cycling the west end of the Galloping Goose (though you might want to haul your bike down the hill). Very peaceful and quiet—except for the frogs at night! Great Hosts!

A Country Retreat

The property is located in a countryside location which is very quiet, especially at night. Yet it is close to all the main attractions. The property is very well appointed with all that is needed for self-catering. Modern and very clean with excellent hosts. The owners live at the property but completely respected our privacy. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is one of the nicest.

Tranquil Getaway

Having stayed all over Vancouver Island, this area is my favorite spot. It's rural but not too far from downtown Victoria. Perfect if you want to visit beaches and hike the trails in Sooke. This rental is clean, quiet and spacious. Wayne and Myrna are lovely hosts.

Clean and comfortable stay

We absolutely loved our stay in this property. The suite is as shown in pictures. Very clean property, with well equipped kitchen and very comfortable bed. We will definitely go again.

Hosted by Myrna

We are retired teachers who enjoy spending time on our property, especially with our children and grandchildren. We love to travel and have seen many parts of the world. We are active members of the YMCA, Langford Tennis Club, bicycling and hiking groups. You'll see some evidence of Myrna's quilting passion and sewing skills in the suite as well.

Why they chose this property

We loved this property the minute we saw it. It was raw land and felt like we were in a beautiful park. We had so much fun designing and building our house, then later doing the landscaping.

We love the rural atmosphere of Metchosin on a quiet cul de sac, yet still close to all amenities. The 2 acres affords us privacy and a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city in a beautiful parklike setting.
