Beautiful Garden Home custom built by owner. Double front concrete drive with parking pad for two cars in front. Huge master bedroom (tray ceiling) with its own large 'Hollywood' bath with double sinks and plenty of space. Second bedroom has full bed that sleeps 2 and has a hall full bath. Sofa in den could possibly sleep the fifth person if you wish. I will also leave one queen sleeper mattress with pump upon request.

Nice décor, ceiling fans, beautiful wrought iron and crystal light fixtures, very up to date décor. Fully stocked kitchen. Fenced in small backyard with patio set and grill. Neighborhood has walking track, lake, tennis, picnic pavillion, small swimming pool. SO convenient- 4 miles to UA, 1 mile to Walmart, Big Lots, Post office, about 5 quick service drive through places that are not all large chains within a mile, half mile to 2 miles to Hobby Lobby, Publix and about 20 restaurants. Suburbia value in very safe and convenient area!

Den has TV with DirectTV and wireless internet (bring own computer), and gas fireplace for easy use. Kitchen has small table for two and bar with three bar stools in the same area. New appliances - dishwasher, smooth cooktop, microwave, disposal, fully stocked with dishes, gadgets, small appliances, pots and pans. Backyard is small fenced enclosed courtyard, great for an outdoor barbeque. Unit is on a corner providing extra space for parked cars. Newly redecorated and not suitable for pets or children please.

Rent to 25 and older only please. Partiers not welcomed, this is a NICE AND SAFE family neighborhood far enough away from university to provide calm and security. Great accommodations for hard to find University of Alabama football game lodging or other sporting events at the Capstone, or other academic events. Sometimes hotels are hard to find..best of both worlds here.

Visit for any of our wonderful events: University of Alabama football games, University of Alabama sporting events, KENTUCK nationally ranked folk and contemporary art festival in northport, Tuscaloosa Symphony and visiting renowned musicans at Moody Music UA campus, Heritage Week each spring, Artrageous riverfront art tour 1st Thursday each month in Tuscaloosa and Northport art district, Tannehill trade days and specialized festivals, Summer camps such as Nick Saban Camp, Gymnastics camp, or Pat Murphy softball camp, Dance Alabama!, Local musueums including Natural History Museum at Smith Hall UA campus, Childrens Hands On Museum (CHOM) downtown Tuscaloosa, Gorgas Home and historic Tuscaloosa homes, Westervelt Warner Art Museums (famous American art and impressionist works including world famous masterpieces). About The Owner

We purchased this home when our children were in college. For the past ten years this has served as a vacation rental. But we have recently sold our big farm and farmhouse and have retired to this garden home. It is refurbished with all ecru furniture in den, new hardwood floors, new drapes and décor. We have a new RV and are excited about many weekends we would like to spend traveling. Therefore, we offer our garden home to you. You will not know we "live" there. It will be pristine and fully furnished just for you.

The Owner purchased this villa in 2006

Why The Owner chose Alabama

Harper Creek is SO convenient. The home has nice ammenties and is newer, was a great value for us at purchase. AND..we like passing the savings onto our renters. This is the nicest property for the money on vrbo in our opinion.

What makes this villa unique

This is a VERY convenient location near intersection of Highway 82 and 43 in Northport. Just a skip away (1 mile) in Northport are antique shops, old time barber shop, world famous local meat and 3 CITY CAFE, and one of a kind places featured in Southern Living. On the four lane (just outside the entrance to Harper Creek) are all the handy places you know and love McDonalds, Publix grocery, Walmart, gas stations, family area a hop away. A jump away (about 4-5 miles) is the University of Alabama.

Great location and nice home

Went for the iron bowl, check in was very easy and the place was exactly as described. The owner left treats which was a very nice touch.

Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for graduation and it was fantastic. It is very clean, the owners are responsive, and it's a great, cute neighborhood. It's also very close to the school (must've been a 10 minute drive) and grocery stores and restaurants. Really great home, we will stay there again the next time we are in Tuscaloosa!

Just Like Home

  • 4 of 5

My family (2 adults, 4 teenagers) came to Tuscaloosa for the University of Alabama Football Camp. There is plenty of space to spread out and have private time or hang out as a family. Clean. The pool is small but very nice. We enjoyed the WiFi, a/c and direct tv. Close to eating establishments, grocery store, Wal-Mart. Only a few minutes to the University. Check-in/out is easy. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Baseball Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 stayed at Tuscaloosa Villa in March 2014 to attend the Alabama/Ole Miss Baseball Series. Our teenage children each took a friend and we had plenty of room for all 6 to sleep and move about comfortably. The Master Bedroom and bath are spacious and private. The home is well cared for, clean, and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare weekend meals. The neighborhood was quiet and well kept and there was plenty of space to park 2 cars. It is a 10-15 minute drive to the University of AL with grocery stores and shopping within 5 minutes. The owner's are easy to work with and offer the best price in town! Highly recommend this property. Our stay could not have been more perfect!! We definitely hope to stay again!

Comfortable, relaxing space that fit our needs

  • 4 of 5

This home features plenty of room for a small family (3B/2Ba). The master features a large, master bath with a tub show combination and there's another bathroom that the other two bedrooms share. We especially appreciated having a little backyard for our small family dog so he got to go on vacation too! We were visiting over a weekend for a family wedding in the area. It was very close to plenty of eating and not too far to shop, when we found time. Also fairly close to the University of Roll Tide! Would recommend it to anyone.

A Reunion made special

  • 5 of 5

My husband's family reunion took place this summer. He is one of the patriarchs of his family, so it just didn't seem appropriate to stay in a hotel.....no matter how glamourous, it would still be just a room. We wanted to be able to entertain while we were there, so that the younger generation could get an opportunity to spend quality time with those in their fading years. This property was soooooooo much more than we asked for. First, the property owner is a Southern gentlewoman and businesswoman, you will find her to be completely attentive and professional, as well as flexible. I requested that a family member be allowed to open the home, and was graciously allowed to do so. The home itself is just that....A HOME. It is obvious that both love and care has been lavished on this property. The only thing missing to keep this home from being complete is live foliage....from the front door to the back yard, everything was immaculate and homey. HOMEY, not HOKEY. Do not expect to be overrun with Crimson Tide memorabilia. This is more like Aunt Jenny's house whose only son is a Tide alum.....graciously subtle and unmistakable pride is in every inch of this home. Easy to find, close to literally EVERYTHING. In our week there, we had 3 family get-togethers, and at the end of the reunion, everyone felt so comfortable that the family banquet was moved to 'Uncle James' house'. That's right, his family actually thought we had MOVED to Tuscaloosa!! Imagine! Our 10 year old son was able to have his cousins over, and ride their bikes through the neighborhood. All told, I will not be visiting Tuscaloosa again if I cannot stay in this property. Thank you for making this such a special event for our family.

Owner's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed your time here. Strengthening the family bond is one of the reasons we truly enjoy the vacation rental business. At the end of the day family is what matters! We look forward to hosting you again in the future. Thanks.

Located in a garden home community - tennis, pool, lake and walking trails around small pond/lake, and picnic gazebos. This is now our permanent home but we rented this for 10 years prior as a vacation rental. You will not feel you are in someone's home. We will take the rental opportunities to travel with our new camper! We have the third bedroom as a lock off so our belongings will be in there. You will notice some food in refrigerator and freezer BUT you will have two completely empty shelves to use and feel free to use anything already in there. You will have a large double dresser empty for clothing BR1, and chest of drawers empty in BR 2. There is a closet for hanging clothes in BR2. No closet available to renters for hanging in BR1 but there is a coat closet in the entry hall that you may hang clothing in.
