2 BR 2 BA Condo with awesome views!

This condo was purchased this summer and fully renovated as the perfect VRBO retreat. It is in the heart of Fraser which is about 3 miles from Winter Park and 5 miles to the base ski area. You could literally take the Amtrak to Fraser, walk two blocks to the condo, and take the free ski bus to the ski area. Also within a few blocks you could walk to Safeway, Murdochs, Rocky Mountain Roastery (Coffee Shop), pizza, mexican food, Sharky's, and several other good restaurants. The condo's two bedrooms are separated by it's two new bathrooms. The kitchen has a huge new granite counter with lots of food preparation space. The kitchen is open to the dining and living room, all with spectacular views of Byers Peak. There is a wood burning stove, and 42" TV with Roku. There is also a deck. It is perfectly set up for four people, maybe two couples, each with their private bathroom.

Why Melanie Thompson chose Fraser

99 Doc Susie Ave is a strange street name, but it has historical meaning.

As it turns out, the old TV show, Doc Quinn: Medicine Woman, was based on the life of Doc Susie.

Doc Susie arrived in Fraser in 1907 and served as the community doctor for the next 50 years. Upon her arrival by train, Doc Susie settled in a small cabin in Fraser where she was prepared to either cure herself or die of a bad case of tuberculosis.

What makes this condo unique

We looked at a dozen properties before selecting this one. My realtor asked if being close to the train tracks would bother me. Not only does it not bother me, but I love it! To me it is a novelty. We really enjoy being right down in the valley where we can walk to whatever we need, groceries, coffee, pizza, even an Ace Hardware. Also, when bike riding we don't have to dredge up a steep climb at the end of a outing. Also, the tubing hill is only a few blocks away!

Perfect for getaway weekend!

Great layout, amazing views, easy drive to ski or very convenient free shuttle access. We used the kitchen for breakfast and had everything needed for preparations. We'll definitely be back!

Great layout and ease of access

The only downside is the location next to the railroad which during my stay the passing of freight trains were frequent throughout the night, I'm a pretty heavy sleeper but still woke up from time to time.

Owner's Response: Yes, I love the layout where the two bedrooms are on opposite sides, with two bathrooms between, and also on the other side of the unit from the windows that are closest to the train tracks. We love the trains though, and although I consider myself a fairly light sleeper they don't wake me up at all. Maybe I have acclimated. In the summer if the windows were open, that might make a difference as well. In any case, hope you'll come visit again!

Great stay!

The condo has been very nicely remodeled and was stocked with almost everything we needed. (I brought a small blender for my protein shakes.) My boys and I enjoyed the location which is very close to Winter Park but not right in the midst of all the people. I had been concerned about the train at night, as I'm a light sleeper, but it wasn't an issue. The bed and pillows are comfy! We will stay here again if we return to Winter Park! Restaurants we recommend are The Peak Bistro and Brewery and The Ditch!

This is by far the cleanest and most updated VRBO we have ever stayed at! Beautiful tile work throughout, lovely center island kitchen with brand new appliances. Plenty of parking and easy access to the Winter Park Shuttle. Wood burning stove and nice westerly views were a plus. We will definitely be back!
