When you arrive at Villa Due Golfi, you cannot fail to be swept away by the stunning panoramic views. With a terrace running along two sides, the view stretches across the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Amalfi, with the peak of Capri Island in pride of place. The beauty is simply breathtaking.
Located in SantAgata sui due Golfi, the villa is in a prime location en route to Marina del Cantone, where you will find the most beautiful beaches, and the most celebrated fish restaurants.
You will find everything you need to take full advantage of your enviable views, with a beautiful wrought metal pergola on one side of the property, providing shade and a table and chairs, and a more formal dining table for eight on the other. We recommend taking dinner as the sun sets above the bay, with the waters reflecting the fiery colours of the sky.
A few steps will lead you to your private swimming pool (1.2m deep) open from 20th May to 30th October, and with plenty of sun loungers and parasols.
Moving inside, you enter the open plan living and dining area through either of two double doors. The ceilings are high and painted white, giving a sense of light and space throughout. Artwork and cushions provide bright accent colours to contrast with the cool white walls. There is a further dining table and a comfortable sofa plus a television. Wifi is available throughout.
From here, you can move into the kitchenette, fully equipped with four gas rings, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board in a separate laundry area. A door leads outside to the barbeque for al fresco dining.
From the kitchen, a short corridor leads to the sleeping area. You will find one double bedroom, simply decorated with bright artwork and plenty of storage. The twin bedroom is perfect for children, with two single bunk beds. Two additional single beds are available in the third bedroom, which is furnished with one single bed and one folding bed.
There is also an additional bedroom with a comfortable double sofa bed, which can be used as an extra living area, or a private bedroom as required.
The two stylishly decorated bathrooms both have a wash basin, toilet, bidet and hairdryer. One has a shower enclosure and the second a bath.
The house has parking places for 2 cars. Please note that during July and August, Villa Due Golfi is only available for weekly rentals.
There is much to enjoy within Sant'Agata sui due Golfi, including great shops and restaurants, the parish church, the Monastery of Deserto and various archeological ruins. If you enjoy walking, there are many trails along the coast and inland and the town is also a great centre for many excursions on the Sorrento Peninsula and beyond.
Villa Due Golfi offers comfortable accommodation in a location that is worth choosing for the views alone!
Please note, there will be a final cleaning charge of € 100 added to the rental period at moment of booking.
PS II.: Note: From 1 April to 31 October the Municipal Council of Massa Lubrense has instituted a mandatory tourist tax on all temporary residents.
The tourist tax must be added to the total amount of stay and has to be pay cash at the arrival.
We stayed for 5 days in late June early July. This was our first villa rental and it was absolutely perfect. The other reviewers are correct in saying that when you get to the property the views are exactly what you see in the pictures. The sunsets and sunrises are out of this world. The grounds are beautifully kept and you really will spend as much time outside as you possibly can. The kitchen, while small is everything that you will need. We cooked full meals for 8 people with no problem. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware and some basic ingredients. The pool was a great size for our family and has a more shallow area for those that might not be great swimmers. Although the location is a bit far from town, I think the views are totally worth it. We had a car, but we also walked into town a few times (about 15 minutes or so). Sant Agata itself is very quaint has really great restaurants and cute shops. We're familiar with the more popular towns on the Amalfi Coast and I'll say that it was very nice to be in a more relaxed area. Back to the house - there were plenty of areas to sleep for our family, some of the rooms did not have traditional beds (more the pull-out variety) but we all slept well. I've slept on a lot worse in nice hotels in Europe. As far as the villa not having A/C - this was not an issue for us either. It was cool enough at night that no one had a problem sleeping (even those that are a/c addicts). We did not want to leave once our time was up. You will not regret renting this villa.
We booked this villa when there were no reviews available so I was nervous we were taking a chance.... It did not disappoint! I actually cried when we arrived because it was SO BEAUTIFUL. The views are stunning. You can see both the Gulf of Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples -hence the name, Villa due Golfi. The bedrooms are small but comfortable and the bathrooms are more than adequate. We had four adults and three kids and had plenty of room. We didn't even use the back bedroom at all - with all the outdoor living space, we spent as much time outside as we could!
The pool was excellent - clean and new. The pool guy was there every day cleaning it and testing the water levels. Sergio at Feeling Italy was so accommodating and helpful. He was really sincere in his desire to help us have a wonderful stay. He can also help you book drivers and tours in the area. (Try the gastronomic tour in Schiazzano!) You will definitely need a car here, though there are two restaurants within walking distance - Villa Caprile and Tramonto Rossa - both excellent! The little town of Sant'Agata is close by, but it is a treacherous walk that we did not want to attempt with the kids. The supermarket is close by but best to take a car there.
We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend both Feeling Italy and this beautiful villa!
This house is one of those vacation rentals that actually looks better 'In person' than in the photos. We stayed for a week on June and loved every minute. The views are wonderful, the outdoor spaces are large and attractive, and the pool is great... Just what we needed after doing tourist trekking.
Bedrooms are plentiful, as is closet space. Our bed was firm but not uncomfortable...could have used fluffier pillows. Common space - living, dining, kitchen - is fairly small, but we spent all our waking moments outside. The kitchen is very well - equipped with nice cookware; the only drawback was a lack of space for our dry food item. No coffee making other than those little moka things; bring a press or buy a jar of instant! Very nice charcoal grill area just outside the kitchen.
We got bad phone reception but WiFi worked well; occasionally internet access dropped off but came back on quickly, I don't think it's the router's problem but rather the internet service provider.
The house has no a/c but we buttoned it up in the morning and always came back to a cool house... Interior temperature in the low 70s when it was high 80s outside. We slept well with the windows open but were greeted - Early!! - by the Italian cacophony of roosters, dogs, and scooters.
We were close to town (supermarket), restaurants (Villa Caprile) and a great beach (Marina Del Cantone). You need a car here.
The Feeling Italy people were fantastic! I was afraid they'd be just another pretty website, but they are informative, responsive, and when we had trouble with our gate they were there in minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to rent any property from them.
