Superb house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the sea house for the Easter weekend with my grown up children and their children. They all loved the sea house, my grandchildren asking when they can go back to 'the holiday house'. We had planned a grand roast family dinner for Easter Sunday and were delighted to find a brand new range-style cooker in the huge kitchen diner. The location is great, being a short walk into the centre of town and the beach. Every amenity is provided in the house and many appliances were new when we stayed. Larger four bedroom houses in Whitstable are not very common, and this must be one of the nicest. The weather was foul when we stayed so we were unable to make use of the lovely garden and patio, but this would have been a great asset given dryer, warmer weather. Dan, who manages the house for Homeaway is very efficient and makes an effort to ensure everything runs smoothly. There are no parking restrictions here, and there's space for one car off-street at the rear although if you don't drive the station is within easy walking distance. With everything being close to hand we never used our cars while we were here, braving the rain with our umbrellas! It was a rare chance for our family to go away together, and The Sea House provided the ideal venue.

Vacation in Whistable!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Daniel's home for a week, while visiting extended family and visiting Whistable and Canterbury. The home is beautiful. If you like historic homes and buildings, you will love this house. It was very well equipped. The kitchen had everything you need as well as all the bed linens. It was quite cold and rainy while we were in town, but we just loved the garden, and went out as often as the weather allowed. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you Daniel and we look forward to staying again on our next visit!

A very comfortable, well located holiday for large groups.

  • 4 of 5

We were a large holiday group of six adults and four children aged 8 to 22 months. The house and garden accommodated us all with ease. We spent pleasant evenings dining 'al fresco' and cooked and catered with ease. The large top bedroom is lovely. A short walk to the town centre and harbour make it an ideal location. The only problem was finding sufficient parking for the three cars we had.

What a fantastic house

  • 5 of 5

The photos for this property do not do it justice as it was even better than expected. We had a great time here and in the town and harbour as it was walking distance to Whistable. The house has everything supplied you could need for a family gathering a large kitchen leading out onto a fabulous garden with great seating areas. Everyone loved the bedrooms and I was lucky to get the top one with freestanding bath and the views over the golf course.

I will be going back although my husband will be coming now he realises how close to the golf course this property is.

Beautiful and well located

  • 5 of 5

My husband surprised me with a romantic break to this property and I have to say that I was desperately sad to leave it. Set perfectly in the heart of Whitstable, which I might add is charming, it was impeccably furnished and decorated.

I always worry about staying in holiday lets, preferring hotels, just because of the cleanliness and standard of fittings etc, but this house was spotless. The bathroom and kitchen looked as if they had been newly fitted and the bed linen was clean and freshly laundered.

I would definitely recommend this house and Whitstable as a town to any friends and relatives. So many quirky restaurants and shops and a fabulous beach. My husband booked us a table at a local michelin starred restaurant slightly further up in Seasalter. The memories of food that evening still make me salivate. It was also lovely to take in the sunset on the beach from outside the Neptune, which was only about 10 minutes walk away.

I think maybe next year it might be my turn to book a nice weekend, but I think I'll come back here. Why try to book anywhere else when this place is so fantastic.

The Sea House is located in one of the most desirable areas of Whitstable with beautiful sea views directly on the golf course. If you have never visited Whitstable before, it is unlike any other town you will visit by the sea and it manages to offer something for everyone.

It is best known for its native oysters and its annual Whitstable Oyster Festival but it also benefits from a strong arts culture embodied by the numerous independent Whitstable galleries and craft shops and has a rich maritime history.

The famous Whitstable Oyster Fishery Company Restaurant is only 5 minute's stroll from the house and the local pub, the Old Neptune, is situated right on the beach itself and is the perfect place to watch the spectacular sunsets over the estuary.

With miles of beaches and its distinctive character and ambience all within easy reach of the city (60 miles east of London) and close to the port of Dover, we look forward to welcoming you to Whitstable, so you can see for yourself what Whitstable has to offer you.
