Minimum Stay 5 - 7 nights

About the property

House for 6-8 pers., 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garden with bbq, children welcome

The house was built in 1857 and completely renovated in 2013. It is situated in a small village, 45 minutes from Prague, in the heart of the Bohemian Paradise, Unesco geo-parc of sandstone towers, excellent for hiking, cycling, climbing, bathing and sightseeing (castles, traditional villages, breweries, museums).

This eco-friendly house of 150 m² is traditional and contemporary at the same time.

You will find a large living room-kitchen, 3 spacious bedrooms (1x4 pers., 2x2 pers.), 2 bathrooms (one with shower and the other one with bath), 3 toilets, garden with bbq and internet.

The fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal: range, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker. A washing machine, a dryer and an ironing board and iron.

The house has its 300 m² garden with terrace (accessible directly from the living room), table and chairs, deck-chairs, barbecue and for the children a small bathing pool, cabin for "pirates" and a sandpit. Depending on the season, you can pick up some fruits in the garden.

Parking for 2 cars in front of the house.

In the hamlet of Mokry, you will still find the authentic czech countryside. Our neighbours have a small family farm (sheep, rabbits, goats...) and in the morning you might hear the rooster but in the evening you will enjoy the quiet of the village far from the cities.

A small playground on the village square. Bathing lake 1 km (ice chips, beer, fishing, Kusturica atmosphere :-) Highway Prague 2 km.

NEW 2016: new municipal swimming pool 5 km from the house http://maskova-zahrada.cz/.

Maison parfaite dans un décor villageois

  • 5 of 5

Merci! Et qui sait nous reviendrons!

Sehr schön und entspannend

  • 5 of 5

Alles war in unmittelbarer Nähe Supermarkt, Schwimmbad, etc.

gemütliches und familienfreundliches Haus im Grüne

  • 5 of 5

An excellent house for exploring the Cesky Raj

  • 5 of 5

Our family (my Wife and I and our two daughters aged 5 and 9) stayed for two weeks in Mokry. The property itself it excellently equipped. We loved the welcome gift of local beer and apple juice and our youngest daughter particularly enjoyed the use of the Tree House in the garden.

Throughout the property is equipped to the highest standard with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and great WIFI reception.

The property is situation in a small village just outside the larger town of Turnov. We enjoyed doing many things during our stay including:

Turnov open air swimming pool

Boskov dolomite caves

Exploring rock cities - Hruba Skala

Visiting the many castles in the area - Waldstejn and Kost in particular was good if you have kids

Day trip to Prague

We'd recommend Plaudit restaurant in Turnov for very nice pizza and pasta meals.

One tip to maximise your stay. If you don't speak any German or Czech then learn some! Levels of spoken English outside of Prague are very low. I learn a few basic Czech phrases and these were invaluable.

Thank you Stania and Roman for an excellent place to stay for two weeks!

Gorgeous house in lovely tranquil setting

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully converted house with all mod cons and tasteful decoration. Very spacious for our family of 4 and fabulous having 3 loos! Loved the walk in shower and double sinks in the main bathroom and the lovely big entrance hall. The garden is beautifully kept and was lovely to eat out on the terrace. One of our favourite holiday homes after many years .

The house is located on the edge of a small village with fields all round, so felt very rural and tranquil.

It is a great area with lots to do - luckily we had our bikes with us and used them nearly every day with lots of lovely well marked bike routes (and mainly flat!). Well worth hiring a bike if you dont have your own. There is also a great new outdoor swimming pool with water slides just a short bike ride away, and obviously all the beautiful woods and amazing rock formations to visit. We would also recommend walking up the hill behind the village of Vsen for great views and a lovely wooded walk. We also had lovely meals at the Plaudit in Turnov and the Abeluv Mlyn.

The proprieters are lovely and left lots of useful information, and very quickly returned our deposit. All in all, a great holiday and would highly recommend this holiday home to anyone visiting this lovely part of the world.
