This sandstone barn conversion sits in a secluded spot in Cumbria by the river Eamont. It is approached down a farm track, half a mile from the nearest house and five miles from Penrith and Junction 40 off the M6.
This luxury self catering holiday home offers stunning views of the Pennines and the river from the house and garden.
A perfect outdoor and fishing break, there are beautiful walks along the river bank, which is teeming with wildlife and a wealth of public footpaths throughout the estate. Excellent brown trout fishing is available along the four-mile stretch of the Eamont, which can be booked through the property owner.

Historic Houses:
Acorn Bank Garden and Watermill - A National Trust garden with the largest collection of culinary and medicinal herbs in Northern England. Acorn Bank also has extensive traditional orchards with wooded walks along the river leading to the watermill. Tel: 01768-361-893. Hours: 10 – 5:30 in April – October.
Hutton-in-the-Forest – The home of Lord and Lady Inglewood dating from the 14th century with tremendous interiors, gardens and wooded walks. Unusually for a stately home, Hutton-in-the-Forest is almost completely surrounded by trees partly because the Victorians wanted to recreate the feeling of being in the vast royal forest of Inglewood where tradition has it King Edward and his huntsmen killed over 400 deer in one day. Hutton-in-the-Forest is thought to be the legendary home of the Green Knight in the Arthurian tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Tel: 01768-484-449. Hours: 1 – 4:00
Dalemain House and Gardens – Medieval, Tudor and Georgian, this stately home has been occupied by the Hasell family since the late 1600s. The gardens and countryside walks are extensive with refreshment available at the licensed restaurant and teashop. This is one of the best preserved stately homes in the area with plenty to explore including a small house for ‘Mrs Mouse’ on the back stairs. Tel: 01768-486-450.
