Other things to note:

Beautiful cabins and view , great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in cabin #1 , beautifully decorated and had everything you’ll ever need . Full kitchen ( even a dishwasher ) ,cable tv - wi-fi, great decor .. comfort at its finest . Snowmobile rental next door and trail nearby , but wasn’t noisy . Actually enjoyed watching them . We came up for preview day at Michigan Tech University .. and the location was great . Just enough out of town for quiet ...and we could see the university across the water and Mt . Ripley was just down the street. . Owner so nice and personable . Checked on us to see if we needed anything and left a welcome gift on the table for us when we arrived which was very thoughtful . Definitely care about their guests . Will stay here again on our next trip up and highly recommend it to everyone !

Great cabin. Perfect location for snowmobiling.

A friend and I stayed here for a long weekend of snowmobiling in the Keweenaw. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We have stayed at several hotels in the area as well as some other cabin rentals. While this may not be the cheapest, it was the nicest accomadations and by far the best location for riding the trails. You can't get much better than having trail #3 thirty yards from your front door. Close enough to town if you need to run to the store or drive to dinner, but you can still park the sleds at your doorstep.

The cabin was great. All new, comfy furniture, and great beds. Honesty, it was better than my living conditions in college. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. More than enough room for all of our gear and to stretch out and we each still had our own space. Just about the only negative I can think of is the one bathroom, but even that wasn't really an issue.

Another highlight for me is that we had a great view of the river and the bridge. It might just be me, but the site of that bridge between Houghton and Hancock is a magical thing. Like seeing Cinderella's castle at Disney World. When you see the bridge you know you've made it.
