The Lodge is a former pump house situated on a quiet country lane close to Morfa Nefyn village centre and only 800m from the scenic coastal path leading to 2 beautiful beaches. The renovation of the cottage was completed in January 2014 providing luxury contemporary accommodation comprising a large open plan kitchen / dining area / lounge, two double bedrooms (one with en suite) and a triple bunk room. Outside the cottage benefits from a beautiful large lawn ed garden, a pretty stone patio with palm trees and a decked area housing a brand new hot tub, available for guests to use all year round. The fully fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, in-built microwave, washer dryer and espresso coffee machine. Finishes are to a high standard, including solid wood flooring and granite worktops.

The Lodge is close to the beach at Morfa Nefyn and the scenic walk along the coastal path to the Ty Coch Pub at the far end of the beach. The cottage is less than a mile from the renowned 27 hole Nefyn & District golf course with stunning sea views from every hole. Seaside town of Pwlhelli is 6 miles away. Close to Abersoch where there is a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants, and sailing schools.

About Sarah Burrows

The cottage is owned by Sarah Burrows and Paul Allsop. We live in Hale, Cheshire with our three daughters. We have visited Morfa Nefyn for many years. In 2008 we bought our first cottage there (Boom Cottage - HomeAway ref 405365) and have loved spending a lot of time there.

Sarah Burrows purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Sarah Burrows chose Lleyn Peninsula

The Lodge is a beautiful cottage and ideally located - when you see it you will understand why we bought it!

What makes this cottage unique

The Lodge has a number of unique benefits - such as the beautiful garden ideal for children to play in, full gas central heating (this is rare in the area as there is no mains gas), fully fitted quality kitchen with granite worktops, contemporary 'flat screen' flue-less gas fire and of course the hot tub available all year round for guests to relax in after a busy day walking or on the beach.

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for 7 nights as a patty of 5 which included our 2 year old grandson. The large secure garden was a huge bonus to us and our grandson spent many happy hours playing in it as did we all. The cottage is warm and cosy and being on one level made it easy to get around. Everything you need is supplied, beds are comfy and kitchen has all mod cons. New garden furniture was delivered on our first night and this was much used as the weather we had was fantastic. We visited Abersoch twice as the beach was lovely and swimming in the crystal clear water was worth the shock when you first get in. Aberdaron was also visited twice, nice to have a coffee at the Ty Newydd overlooking the sea and just watch the world go by. We went to the Rabbit Farm at Dwyfor and this was enjoyed by our grandson, whiles away a couple of hours and you can take a picnic if you want. My husband and I went to local Nefyn beach and sat on the deck of the beach hut, very peaceful. Finally a visit to the Ty Coch is a must, walk across the golf course, drop down to the beach and just enjoy the tranquility as you sit with a drink. I would recommend this cottage for your holiday, the owner was extremely helpful and easy to contact. Don't hesitate - book it.

Super cottage with great garden and hot tub

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is well equipped and has a great position. We had a great time playing in the garden and the kids were in the hot tub all the time . Didn't have any adverse reactions from tub as the last review.

Cottage and hot tub were very clean and couldn't fault kitchen. Spent time at beach hut and kids spent time catching crabs. Great break had by all.

Lovely cottage in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a lovely weekend break in the Lodge. The cottage is beautiful and fully equipped and the hot tub was lovely to relax in. Sarah, the owner, was really helpful and had left a bottle of wine for our arrival. We would recommend this property and hope to return sometime

Modern yet cosy, Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment I contacted the owners to the end of the holiday was an absolute pleasure. Sarah couldn't be more helpful or accommodating. The cottage is very well equipped, very clean in fact it was more home from home feeling. All mod cons through out including Netflix and a great wi-fi signal all included in the price. We had a couple of needs when searching a holiday let, dog friendly, log fire, comfortable living space, hot tub and garden space and each and everyone was met above and beyond, all set in a stunning mountain back drop (although once all the trees are in leaf you may not get to appreciate this quite so much).

The intention of our break was to relax after a very busy christmas, which we did but in taking the dogs on many walks found the local area provided as much beauty as the house. The local pub 'Y Bryncynan' did good food and drink and also allowed dogs. Bit of a hairy walk along a the road but with decent torch its not really an issue. The local chip shop is great walking distance but funny opening hours (Thurs, Fri, Sat only). Perfectly adequate Spar for shopping and a larger Asda only 10-15 mins drive for a bigger shop.

The local costal walks are great and I imagine in the summer the beaches must be amazing, although we spent a lot of time on and around the beaches even mid winter. If your thinking of venturing towards Snowdon, again only a short drive to the base of the west side for car parks and the train to the summit.

All in all, a fabulous home, great area with as much or as little as you wish to make of any visit. I can highly recommend this property and a huge Thank you to the owners.

Do also not the owners also have a second property very near by so if you were looking to go with others this could be of use to you too.
