RULES RULES RULES
We checked into a hotel halfway thru our stay. The owner is on the property and she has her animals fenced all around the rental. Therefore, she is always around the rental and she is extremely protective of her property.
I rented the place because I was traveling with 3 small dogs (Which I addressed when I made the reservation, The response was the rules are in the casita) and we were stopping for several days to see my sisters daughter. We were hoping to hang out there have a small BBQ and enjoy being in a country setting and relax.
When we arrived Maria met us at our car and started with all the rules! We entered the home and the signs were in all rooms with charges attached. Don't feed the animal or you pay the Vet bill, Lost the TV remote a charge, They had a subpar rack in the bedrooms that could not hold any weight. But if you broke it they were going to charge you, in the kitchen there was a note in front of the stove that stated you can cook but it smells you can't cook it.
They have a dog run. but it is not a dog run it is the only place you animals can be other than in the house. Maria rule is the little space in front of the house is for People only and the dog is for dogs only.
The last morning we were there Maria stood outside of the gates screaming at my sister because the dog was in the people yard. Demanding that she come out immediately get the dog and clean up after the dog.
I would highly recommend before you rent this place you get a full disclosure of her rules. Review them carefully, then decide if you can comply. We very uncomfortable and at no point felt welcomed. If we had a chance to review her rules ahead of time we would not have rented her place, We rent homes all over the US several times a year. I was surprised Maria's Behavior and will be more careful going forward in how I choose my rentals.
Maria and I have communicated thru VRBO where she told me her complaints about us and I addressed them with her. I expressed my disappointment and informed her that had she disclosed her rules up front we would have elected to rent a different place. That this was not a good fit for us.
I hope this is helpful for all involved and going forward Maria will be more forthcoming in her expectations of her guests.
Had a great time walking the property, petting horses and holding a chicken.
Stayed just two nights but great accommodations! Loved the property and all the animals!! Maria was great!
So glad you are happy! Please come see us again!
Wonderful place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maria was a wonderful host and made sure we were taken care of. We loved being out on the ranch with the dog, cats, chickens and horses. It was so nice and quiet and relaxing. We will be back again soon.
You were such a wonderful group! Thank you for understanding our family emergency. So nice having guests that like the ranch life! Come see us again!
Owners were wonderful, friendly and kind. Gave us the grand tour of their horse property and even provided us with fresh organic eggs! Wonderful spot!
Highly recommend this property.
Thank you so much for staying with us! You were perfect guests, we enjoyed visiting with you both so much. Come back and see us, the chickens miss you!
Very cozy, lovely little place, only two of us stayed, but there was room for a couple other folks. Nice kitchen, and they had coffee and wine and plums!
So happy you folks liked it here! Hope you come again. You can always message me to see what fruit is in season.
