Living Room: The heart of the living room is nonfunctional fireplace oversized mirror. The room is decorated with several pieces of modern and African art. A large sectional in front of two oversized windows overlooking Nancy’s “Grande Rue” and two arm chairs complete this room, which is perfect for people watching from the couch to the street below or gathering friends and family to sample the fabulous wines of the region.
This room also has a flat screen TV, DVD player, Cable Box with some English speaking channels, telephone with free local calls to landlines.

The bedroom 2: This bedroom contains two single beds and a dresser. There is a bookcase which includes several works on the history of Nancy, the “Vielle Ville” or Old Town, Place Stanislas, the Art Nouveau Movment. This room includes a window , which overlooks the buildings from courtyard.
The office: The office is located off of Bedroom One and is equipped with a desk and desk chair. This room can also be made into a children’s room, if the need arises. The office like Bedroom One overlooks the back interior courtyard with its historical well. Also, from the desk, you have a view of a beautiful Renaissance style staircase.
The 'Hotel de Rennel': The apartment building, which is known as the Hotel de Rennel, was constructed as a private home for nobleman Charles de Rennel in 1585 on the grounds on an old hospital from 1339. The well in the back, interior courtyard dates from the time of the hospital.
This is a stylish apartment in an ancient street, just a stone's throw from Place Stanislas. The building is atmospherically ancient, the beds are comfortable and the modern bathroom is well designed. There are ample kitchen facilities, although the oven could have been cleaner, and there was barely sufficient toilet paper and cleaning products.
We stayed for seven nights (commencing on a Sunday) and had no problems for the first four nights. However, for the last three nights of our stay the bar next door played very loud music until 2am, and there was considerable noise (shouting, singing etc) from revellers in the street right through until up to 4am. Even with ear plugs it was impossible to get a decent sleep. If staying up/out late and partying is your thing this apartment could be perfect for you - if you are staying there Thursday to Sunday and looking for some peace and quiet you will need industrial strength earplugs.
