The Imperial Suite Sforza faces right on the beautiful Piazza Sforza Cesarini that takes its name from the neighboring building of this ancient and noble family.
In 1893 , the statue of Terenzio Mamiani della Rovere was placed at the center of the square, later moved to the place where he still is, in via Acciaioli.
At the center of Piazza Sforza Cesarini it was instead placed the statue dedicated to Nicola Spedalieri , at that time coming from the square of S. Andrea della Valle. The decision of realizing a statue dedicated to Nicola Spedalieri occurred in 1890. A few years after the First Centenary of the lawyer's death, which occurred in 1795 the competition for the realization of the monument was banished in 1894 and was chosen sculptor Rutelli. The red granite pedestal measures 6 meters high, while the statue measure 4.
The statue stands with a long lower open frock coat;the left hand is holding the essay "RIghts of Man", while the right presents a strange position, thumb and index closed joined , gesture that in rome takes on a meaning quite vulgar.
In the 50’s of the twentieth century the statue was moved to Piazza Sforza Cesarini, officially for traffic reasons, but according to other sources it was just because of the gesture of the right hand, partly because it seemed that in dialogue with the angel placed on the facade of the church of S. Andrea della Valle strangely the angels stands with the same gesture of the right hand.
As it takes only 10 minutes by walk to get to the most interesting sites of the historical centre such as Piazza Navona . Campo De Fiori, the Vatican, Colosseum, the Pantheon and so on, location is priceless!
In addition to that, the neighborhood beeing as eclectic, multicultural and original, offers the visitors a unique and unforgettable experience; restaurants, wineries, art galleries, old libraries and antique dealers provide you the roman authentic stay you are looking for!
The apartment stands for its cozy atmosphere, the finely detailed living room and the efficient use of spaces! An hotel suite can never match the beauty of this apartment nor provide a couple the same "do as the romans do" experience!
Pamela met us at the flat. She was really helpful and attentive. The flat was stunning. So much space for a family of 5. It was clean and well equipped and they even left wine and water in the fridge. It's a great location close to The Vatican and The Pantheon. I really couldn't fault it. Will definitely return.
We were a group of 9 people . The apartment was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities that we needed. Alessandro's staff made sure that all our questions were answered. We thought we had an issue with the water heater. In less than 20 minutes, Pamela had it resolved. She phoned a day later to make sure that all was alright. We told her we needed toilet paper, and she delivered that to the apartment in short order. The location is ideal, within 10 minutes we are at the piazza navona, pantheon, campo dei fiori. The proximity to the sites is wonderful . The restaurants below are decent, and perfect for those late nights when you want to get a quick bite and "go home". Not to mention that there is a grocery store less than 3 minutes away!
Given the choice, I would come and stay again.
Awesome location, service, amenities and apartment .
Thank you !
Mara U, and family
I was a little leery of booking this apartment because at the time I booked it there weren't a great deal of reviews, and it also seemed too good to be true. Well let me just say that my fears were all for naught. The apartment is as advertised. Very clean. Very Spacious. Room enough for a small army of people. Professionally managed, and in a great location. We walked everywhere. 10 minutes to the Vatican. 25-30 minutes to the Colloseum. There are two restaurants literally right outside the front door, and a gelatteria (sp?) literally right around the corner that we thought was the best gelatto that we had in the two weeks we were in Italy. They arranged for us to be picked up from the train station on our arrival, and delivered to the airport when we left. Because of the two restaurants it was a little noisy at night, but other than that there were no issues. And even the noise was not enough to knock a star off the rating. I would/will recommend this apartment to anyone going to Rome.
We went to Rome to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our family of 10. The apartment was perfect for us. Very clean and comfortable. When we arrived Valentina showed us around the apartment. We had a problem getting Internet. A call brought her to the apartment in just a few minutes and the problem was resolved. The airline lost our grandson's bag. Valentina was wonderful helping my daughter-in-law locate the bag. We couldn't believe all she did to help find that bag. She arranged transportation to and from the airport. Also recommended a guide. He was great. Wonderful location! Easy walk to the Vatican and close to other sights. The restaurant downstairs was the best. We ate there several times. The food couldn't have been better and the waiters very attentative. We highly recommend this apartment.
The location on Piazza Sforza is great walking distance to the Vatican and the great Roman attractions.
The apartment is very clean and has beautifull natural light.
The staff was very helpful.
We highly recommend this property.
Upon arriving we were met by a representative and all aspects of the property were explained. The property is on the fourth floor but access was easy with stairs and an elevator. Security is excellent with two keyed doors in the entry and a sturdy lock on the apartment door. The neighborhood is quiet after about 10:00p.
The property is as advertised and all appliances worked perfectly. We had no complaints. You will enjoy the property, the closeness of major monuments and the lovely neighborhood.
The apartment definitely benefits from a privileged position for those who desire to be carried away and live again the atmosphere that made Rome the most beautiful city in the world!
Steps away from Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori, the Imperial Forums, the Vatican City, the Pantheon! Even closer St. Angel Castle and Piazza Farnese, with its outstanding Palazzo Farnese, probably one of the most beautiful buildings of the Eternal City, and Via Giulia, which crosses the heart of Rome, offering its visitors a unique landscape, among churches, ancient workshops and aristocratic buildings.
The district, always active and overheated, hosts among the most characteristic restaurants, wineries and cocktail bars, perfect side courses to what is surely going to be the best time you will ever have in Rome!
