Stunning features, amazingly spacious 2 bed (104m2) in the perfect location.

An entrance hallway leads off into two bedrooms left and right before opening out into the large, stylish open plan living/dining room.

The apartment is decorated beautifully in a modern style that pays compliment to traditional Provençal style while giving it a contemporary edge.


This room is spacious and open plan encompassing a comfortable seating area with 2 large leather sofas, a 42' HDMI LCD flat TV and HD DVD player with home cinema surround sound. A steel breakfast bar complements a large gas fired stove and there is a dining table that seats 8 diners with ease.


The kitchen is off the living area and is fully equipped. Included are dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and electric kettle along with all the utensils, crockery, and glassware you could ever need.


This en suite bedroom is home to a king sized bed. The en suite bathroom includes a claw footed cast iron bath, heated towel rails and a large shower.


Another king size bedroom with shower and vanity facilities. This room is beautifully furnished and designed for home from home comfort.


There is an additional CLEANING AND UTILITY fee of €100 euros payable UPON ARRIVAL to my Property Manager will meet and greet you.

We truly enjoyed our stay! We had our grandchildren visit and stay with us for a week and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us!

Barry was always available and eager to help us with anything we needed & easy to get a hold of.

There are so many restaurants & gelato shops within minutes of apartment it's impossible not to find one that wouldn't satisfy anyone's taste! Also Thady's Restaurant was very good....and we were sorry that we hadn't gone there sooner.

We plan on returning and enjoying Thady's place again!

Excellent, spacious apartment

We stayed for a month in Thady's apartment, with a selection of close family members ranging from 24-68 years old over the four weeks.

This was our fifth visit to Nice and this spacious and well-equipped apartment was by far the best we have ever stayed in. There are four flights of stairs to negotiate but that did not spoil our enjoyment, if anything I needed the exercise - and the higher up you are, the quieter the atmosphere indoors. The Old Town is a bustling place and can be noisy at night but this is far less apparent on the fourth floor.

All the rooms are as light and airy as the pictures suggest, the air conditioning is a godsend and I really appreciated small things such as well-stocked essentials such as loo roll, condiments, washing powder and washing up liquid. The best way to describe it is incredibly tranquil once the windows are closed and very comfortable for four. Barry looked after all our needs splendidly and we enjoyed our visits to Ma Nolan's, Thady's pub.

Mela has written an excellent guide to the apartment and all the different experiences you can have in Nice and the surrounding areas, which we put to good use. In short, I would thoroughly recommend a stay here not least because the location is near to the beach but also to the tram and buses, which is a real plus. We loved Bar des Oiseaux (just opposite) and Les Deux Canailles restaurants. Les Garcons was quirky, fun and affordable with an interesting menu. I would also recommend a day trip to Antibes to the Picasso and a bus trip to Eze - breathtaking views from the exotic gardens.

Next time we return to Nice, my personal favourite city by the sea, a stay in Thady's apartment will be a must.

Great location in Old Nice

Lovely apartment. We are a family of four with two kids under 4. It worked extremely well. Even with the four flights of stairs. It kept us fit so we could eat all the good restaurants steps away from the flat.

Apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we would need on vacation. The washing machine is really efficient and allowed us to pack light!

Beautiful Apartment in Heart of NIce Vieux

The apartment is beautiful, as the photos show. It is well equipped and in a fantastic location. Everything you need is in the apartment from tv, dvd player, wifi, dishwasher, washing machine to cooking spices and dishwasher tabs. Immediately outside the apartment and beyond are lots and lots of fabulous restaurants; french, italian, indian, thai etc and many well stocked boulangeries. We had warm croissants and baguette for breakfast every morning (well when in France!). Barry who met us on arrival and departure couldn't have been more helpful; arranging transfers, carrying suitcases and recommending restaurants and places to visit. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Nice.

Great location - in the heart of it all.

Fantastic meet and greet service! Clean comfy beds, linen and towels. Lots of hot water. Very spacious.

Do buy a weekly travel pass at 15 euros and go all over Nice. Wifi was good.

We would recommend this apartment and would return again.

The communication was very easy. There are lots of restaurants on the doorstep and a good supermarket 10 minutes away.

Took train to Monaco - lovely journey along the coast.

About Thady Nolan

Born in Ireland some generations ago, I moved to Nice as a computer engineer in April, 2002. Being a convivial barfly by night, I observed the Nice night life and quickly realised that something was lacking: A fully fledged Irish bar, without the clichés, but with wide screens for all sports fanatics, live music and a real Sunday roast on the menu. A good catholic boy, I decided to call the bar after my 'Ma' back home and the first Ma Nolan's opened in Vieux Nice in mid 2005.

Why Thady Nolan chose Vieille Ville

I looked for an apartment to buy for a long time before finding this one. I fell in love with it straight away. It has some really beautiful features, being renovated and restored lovingly by two interior designers. The wooden floors, soft paint colours on the walls, master bedroom leading through to a quirky en suite with stand alone cast iron bath, imposing living/ dining space with high ceilings complete with contemporary girders and a full range oven. It was the place for me. My future wife and I moved in and spent a wonderfully happy year there before she fell pregnant and demanded we move to a property without stairs! It still hurts... I'd planned to live there for a lot longer than I did, but 3 kids later I think we did the right thing to look for somewhere with more bedrooms!

What makes this apartment unique

Practicalities - we have both air conditioning and double glazed windows (unheard of in a lot of old town properties) but a necessity as the apartment is always quiet and cool even though the city buzzes till dawn in the summer months. We are in the middle of everything the city has to offer and a short walk to the train station for access to neighbouring sights. Because this apartment was our home, it is comfortable as well as practical and you can settle into it as much as you would like to when away from home. Take a bath, put your feet up, stay in contact with your friends, we have wifi, or chill in front of our sky tv channels between day trips and evening meals.
