|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
This beautiful hilltop villa, located in the delightfully tropical climate of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, offers a 360 degree view of the expansive waters that surround our island. The passage where the aquamarine Caribbean Sea merges with the awesome Atlantic Ocean is seen to the East, and the famous Magens Bay is visible to the West, offering an unparalleled scene of both our own, and neighboring islands. From the decks of Sea Dreams, you can whale watch in the late winter and early spring, enjoying the warm sunshine and cool trade winds that bless the island year-round. The villa features a gourmet kitchen and two suite-style bedrooms, which are air-conditioned and include luxurious baths, making this newly-built, custom-designed house the epitome of relaxation.
This villa is equipped with an automatic diesel generator to fully power the house during the frequent power outages.
The perfect site for an intimate wedding, and only 5 minutes from Magens Bay, rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world, you have the opportunity to explore plantation era ruins, stroll through a coconut grove and snorkel virgin reefs at your leisure. The location of Sea Dreams is prime, being just 15 minutes from both the airport and the bustling Main Street shopping area, but you may never want to leave the privacy and comfort of this whimsical island dream house.
Nick and Joyce are long time St. Thomas residents. Nick was born and raised on St. Thomas and loves to tell stories about island history. Joyce moved here from Wisconsin in 1982. They built and designed the villa taking advantage of the fabulous views.
Nick is a realtor and will be happy to work with you if you are interested in owning a piece of paradise.
Joyce Bailey purchased this villa in 2005
We bought the property in 1984 and always knew we would build a villa on the crest of the hill. This is a unique location because it is the rare property that has a 360 degree view.
The best item is the view. The large pool is perfectly situated to take advantage of the afternoon sun. The villa always enjoys a tropical breeze and was designed to take advantage of the cooling trade winds.
I brought my family to St. Thomas for 11 days--we had the true pleasure in staying at Sea Dreams! Well appointed, wonderful pool, the views from the home are spectacular. The location is excellent, you can get anywhere on the island in 20 minutes from the home. If you are thinking about a Caribbean vacation I recommend your starting point to be at Sea Dreams. We look forward to making it back one day soon. It was a perfect place for our kids to enjoy--ages are 10, 8 and 5. Enjoy the memories you will make while at Sea Dreams.
I had a wonderful stay with my two boys! Jocye was very responsive and the views were amazing! I was referred by Joyce to the tennis club down the hill and played tennis daily! Anything you could need was available. Made good friends and had a great time! Would love to come back!
Wonderful location. Great view fantastic. breeze. Romantic. Would Return any time.
Better Email communication to get questions answered to plan trip with owner would have been appreciated. May have been without internet access?
There home is very beautiful and in a great location. The owners made the entire rental process very easy. The home has everything needed for your trip. The house and pictures were exactly as stated. They met us at the house on arrival and showed us everything in the house and gave some great restaurant locations and places to go....great people to deal with! We will def be renting this home again! Thanks Guys!!!
After months of searching for a place and narrowing it down to two places, I'm so glad we chose this place! It was secured, private, very clean, and beautifully decorated! The rooms are very spacious and have beautiful views from every angle! The kitchen is well stocked with all amenities. The pool was well appreciated by my daughters! Having the pool right there was a bonus. Joyce was very prompt with her responses and pleasant to communicate with!
We never made it to Megan's Bay, even though it was right there. We like to venture out, so first we went to Frenchmen's Reef (Marriott resort) and that was very pretty. But the one beach we LOVED, was Coki Beach! Getting there was sketchy :) but it was really worth it. The snorkeling is the best of the whole Island. According to my kids and husband, it's better than Trunk Bay.
For future vacationers...we were able to use WAZE (GPS) everywhere we went, but if you have Verizon it might not work. I have Verizon, but my husband has Sprint, so we used his phone the whole time. St. Thomas does not believe in street signs...nothing is marked! And driving up & down those mountains was not fun!! The Islanders only go by landmarks, which meant nothing to me.
Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the food. We're somewhat "foodies" and love to eat...eat good good food -- something you will not find here. We were also a bit surprised by how expensive everything was, for instance, groceries, restaurants, taxis... We paid more there than what we pay here, in the DC area.
Other than that...we had a pleasant time. It was too short, but it was very nice!
Really enjoyed our stay. Can beat the view. The villa was clean and well maintained, roomier than the pictures let on.
Private, safe and a easy location to drive to restaurants and Megans Bay.
Would easily recommend to 1st time visitors to STT or return vacationers. Can't wait to go back!
