Why Eric and Stacy Peth chose Ivy Hill
We just purchased 10/6/17! When we go looking for a vacation home our search filter always starts with...hot tub, fire place and pet friendly. The log cabin feel and views are always a bonus as well. So when we saw the Slice of Heaven log cabin come available we knew we had found our spot. We were sold on the stunning, unbeatable views to be enjoyed from either hot tub or rocking chairs along with a fireplace and a fire pit all in a quiet, private setting. Not to mention the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus a pull out couch allowing us to bring family and friends to enjoy it with us.
What makes this Cabin unique
Log cabin, unbeatable views, hot tub, first picture says it all while still not doing the views justice. Enjoy the peace and calm of Maggie Valley or head to Asheville or Waynesville for any number of activities. At the end of the day relax inside by the gas fireplace, play games and enjoy DirectTV.

The cabin is the perfect size for a family of 4-6. It was stocked with most everything you will need for your stay. The hot tub was perfect! The fire pit is in a good location. I relaxed in the hot tub while my teenage son roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and I could easily watch him. The drive up to the cabin wasn't too bad either. I drive a 5 speed Jetta and had no issues getting up the mountain. We enjoyed everything about our stay but nothing compares to the views. WOW! It is absolutely amazing. The pictures on this listing DO NOT do justice for showing the true beauty of the view offered from this cabin. You can see nearly the entire town of Maggie Valley from the cabin as well as a gorgeous view of the mountains across the street. You can literally see for miles! I would recommend booking this cabin as everything was clean, stocked nicely, the owners were helpful and responded to my messages quickly. And you will NOT find another cabin with a view like this for this price.
Thanks Kristen. Glad you had such great time. You were one of the first to enjoy the freshly cleared view...first time cut in 10+ years. It really is spectacular and as I write this we are sitting here enjoying it ourselves. Thanks for completing a review for us and we hope to hear from you in the future. Take care. Eric
Gorgeous view, well stocked cabin
Amazing view. Quiet area but not isolated. Road is passable in a sedan in the summer. Cabin is well stocked with everything you need. Clean. Had a fantastic time.
Slice of heaven cabin
Had a great time at the cabin, unfortunately I was only there three nights, but the view was awesome, the cabin was very well set up and Eric was very helpful with directions, tips and describing things. Thanks so much for everything. This was my first time in Maggie Valley, and now I’m spoiled. The road up the hill to the cabin was challenging with a motorcycle (especially while towing a lil trailer behind it) but do able. I wouldn’t recommend a newer cycle rider to attempt this road, with the switchbacks. Thanks so much for having the gas grill, it was very helpful and easy to clean, and dint need to bring charcoal up on the bike. Tried the hot tub twice - awesome while looking at the lights at night coming from the cabins on the other side of the mountain. All in all, a great time! Will definitely stay here on e return trip to Maggie Valley. Thanks again Eric for everything!! Dave Ross
Nice view if it hadn’t rained the whole time.
Nice cottage with ample room for two adults and two small dogs. Furniture is pretty uncomfortable, but the fireplace was nice ambiance.
Very very steep road to get to cottage near top of hill. It was a nice place to just relax. Unfortunately for us, it rained the whole time, so we didn’t get to do any of the outdoor stuff that abounds the area.
I would recommend this property.
Hi William. I'm sorry you feel our cabin is only 3 of 5 stars. For the price I don't think you will find ANYTHING like it in the area in regards to the location, views, hot tub, etc. The road up is a necessity to get to those amazing views. I wish we could control the weather but we have not come up with a plan for that yet. I hope you come back and visit, get some better weather and get a chance to enjoy the area. Thanks for completing a review. Eric
Nice house Good beds.
Very nice house. Great views. Horrid road. Would not rent again because of the road.
Great Mtn getaway with amazing views
Loved this place! It was cozy and clean and had everything we needed for a getaway. Loved the porch and hot tub and the views were amazing! Would stay again. Owners were very accomodating and responded quickly with our inquiries. Thanks!
