About Jimmy and Katie Kleager
After serving our country in the United States Army for 20 years, we finally have settled home in Grand Junction, CO. Born and raised in Grand Junction, CO, Katie's grandparents purchased the property and built their home in 1959. The land encompassed several acres of peach trees that later became a training area for race horses. Katie's parents purchased the home in 1989. In December of 2011, Katie's parents added onto the property by building a barn/farm house to facilitate Katie and her three boys to live while husband, Jimmy deployed for his third tour to Iraq. Following retirement from the Army, the Kleager family purchased the home in June of 2016. We are looking forward to sharing our barn/farm house with our special guests.

What makes this Farmhouse unique
Get to know our farm animals and friendly atmosphere. If you get up at 7am, please join Jimmy to feed the horses, goats, chickens and ducks. Great place for kids and those of you looking for a little bit of "country" but still close to all the great things Grand Junction has to offer.

Worked out great!
We were in town for a conference and bike riding and your place provided excellent access to both. Accommodations were great and it was nice to wake up to the animals right outside.
Thanks for your help getting us set up, Jimmy
Thank you Jay. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again.
Country setting near everything
All of the comforts of home. Farm animals were fun to see and the hosts were welcoming. Would stay here again.
Thank you for the review Karen as well as the suggestion for a night light in the bathroom! Hope you had a great time at the Wedding event as well.
My husband and I traveled from San Diego to watch my brothers team play in the JUCO World Series. The barn house was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life and a great place to relax after the games. Jimmy and Katie were great hosts! We couldn’t have been happier with our stay!
Charming and fun!
A great place to stay! We enjoyed the atmosphere and all the animals. A cozy little place that felt very peaceful. The fresh eggs Jimmy gave us were amazing!
Tucked away gem in the suburbs of Grand Junction
We really had an amazing experience. Everything was as advertised from the description of the loft, to the horses, goats, chickens, and Big Red the Rooster. All being just a few feet from your door. 10 minutes from downtown Grand Junction, everything we needed was a short drive away. The Monument is close as well and provides awesome scenery, hiking, and biking. The property owners were amazingly friendly and hospitable. We felt very welcome and they took great care to make sure we had everything we needed (including farm fresh eggs!). We also loved being able to pet the animals. The family that owns the loft are the kind of neighbors everyone would be lucky to have. Just as a point of feedback... the ability to make ice and some pots for the cook top would have been nice addition we thought. Definitely not a show stopper for us. We would stay here again without hesitation. Thanks so much Jimmy, Katie, Sharon, and the Boys for making our stay so enjoyable.
Thank you for the nice feedback. We enjoyed having you stay. We apologize for not having the pots available. We will make sure those are placed in the kitchen. Hope to see you all back in the near future.
Katie and Jimmy.
