About Fred, Luba & Leah

Fred and Luba purchased Suite A404 at The Ka'anapali Shores Resort because of how much they and their guests both loved Suite A103. The same floor plan as their groundfloor 2 bedroom, the view is what sets both unit 404 (and 204) apart. The elevated height of the Lanai's and the privacy of facing the outer courtyard instead of the pool allows for lovely beach, ocean and palm studded lawn views.

The Ka'anapali Shores resort has maintained a reputation of being an affordable yet upscale family vacation destination. With easy beach access, exquisite pools and ocean view restaurant, The Ka'anapali Shores is sure to become your families favorite vacation spot destination as well.

In 2015, Fred and Luba will be retiring and their daughter Leah, who grew up in the vacation rental industry, will transitions to full time manager of their units. We are located on island in case of emergency.

After selling the business we decided to venture into a vacation rental business since we love helping and serving guests, that become our extended family and friends.

Perfect location for our honeymoon!

GREAT space! Everything we needed! Corner apartment with view of the ocean. All the beach toys, chairs, towels you could hope for! All the toiletries from a normal hotel. Wonderful resort with beautiful pools hot tubs lighting water sports shops etc. extremely close to Lahaina and to a beautiful drive up the coast. Wonderful easy to reach hosts!! I couldn’t recommend it more highly! If we go back this is where we will stay!

Nice place, great sunsets!

Wish it had a real beach, had to drive to a beach. Free shuttle was nice but did not go far enough to Kaanapali Shores. Pools were nice and condo quiet, liked beach equipment in condo we could use and the washer/dryer in condo😁

Deteriorating and outdated

The windows were warped and never closed fully - you can plainly see the gaps. When it rained, water would come in.

The tile was broken and dirty, both on the floors and the trim.

The bathrooms were old and dirty. I am not sure how the renovation was done to this unit but somehow both bathrooms share this weird, lit ceiling (that you can see the dead bugs in).

There are ant traps everywhere (including ON the kitchen counters).

The doors were warped and in dire need of paint.

The air conditioners are filthy and as such, the ceiling around them is stained black.

The patio furniture is stained and the height of the chairs don't match the height of the table making it uncomfortable to sit outside and eat.

I was so disappointed in this unit. We complained to the Aston who said that since it is privately owned, it is not maintained to their standards.

There was no real sandy beach (although this may be because it was winter??) so we had to go elsewhere to swim in the ocean.

I wish I could post photos to show you how bad it was.

Pros- the location (close to the market and fish market).

We really enjoyed the location and the view of the ocean from the patio. The convenience of the unit and the kitchen was terrific as was the contact from the owners which we appreciated a lot. It was a special Christmas trip for our family. We highly recommend this place.
