About Mark Goldin
Love incredible food and trying out as many places around NY as possible. Passion for fishing, art, and checking out new spots around all the boroughs on my Vespa (don't hate).
Why Mark Goldin chose Queens
Astoria is the only place I've ever known that has something for everyone. A beautiful park with activities for everyone (brand new track, skate park, dog park, tennis courts, and more), and views of the city that are gorgeous. Endless food options and opportunities for small restauranteurs that keep bringing in more and more. The oldest and original beer garden (attracts crowds from all over NYC!). Amazing people. Beautiful neighborhoods. It's been so great that they just began offering a ferry to transport folks from the area down all over Manhattan! It's a true charming area that has me feeling blessed to have been able to buy a piece of it.

Christmas in NY
Safe neighborhood, great little restaurants. Comfy beds, very nice having a washer and dryer on property when you have 5 people with wet clothes. Would choose this house again when we come back to NY
Great place to sleep during your NYC-stay
As we don't want to stay in a property for hours during a city trip (we want to see/explore as much as possible during our stay) this property was a great find!
Hotels do cost a lot of money in NYC, this appartment was very affordable.
The price was super, the location great (queens was unknown for us but it has got great restaurants and bars and the public transport is just a 10 minutes walk and brings you downtown NYC in only 10/15 minutes)
Thanks to Mark we found our way in Queens right away!!
Nice cozy place
Every information on description was accurate, very well organize
It smelled strongly of pinesole, and the sheets on the downstairs bed were dirty and had stains on them. I took pictures of the sheets for proof. The futon for sitting was very uncomfortable. We were given one roll of toilet paper for two women for 5 days and asked the host for more and for hand washing soap in the bathroom. No response. We had to buy our own. I would not stay here again.
I would not
We left five rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom but we leave that for every guest
When somebody checks out the maid cleans the apartments and washes all the sheets there is a washing machine and dryer on site and those happen to be 2 months old and only used around four times
I've personally sat on the futon many times that seemed comfortable
I'm happy the apartment smells like Pine-Sol that means she cleaned it
You contacted me around nine times and I responded every time I don't know how did you say I didn't respond hope you have a nice day in the next to your vrbo
The owner is very friendly, the location is convenient to take bus and subway to go to Manhattan. There are many varieties of good restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Neighbourhood is nice and safe.
Nice quiet neighborhood in Astoria. Mark gave us great advice about saving money using the nearby train to Manhattan, and good places to eat.
Astoria (a safe, friendly, and clean part of Queens) has become a sociocultural crossroads of sorts offering up something for everybody of all ages and walks of life. The apartment is literally steps away from Astoria Park (a great gem of Astoria), or an easy 7 minute walk to Astoria Ditmars which is lined with bustling new restaurants, coffee shops (including Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks if you have your preferences), CVS, Gym, and grocery stores of all kinds (from your classic American to your Greek and European grocers).
The N & Q trains run 24 hours a day. Astoria-Ditmars and Astoria Blvd. is no more than a 7 minute walk away. Cabs are aplenty around the trains if you prefer, and the apt. itself is so easily accessible that Uber is a great choice as well. You are also no more than 15-20 minutes away from Central Park. Laguardia is also less than 25 minutes away by taxi.
