Comfortable home, within walking distance to falls and all attractions
(Please read to the end - don't stop after the first paragraph!)
Let's get the only negative out of the way first! Driving up to the location of the house, there's a moment when we all looked at each other and wondered if we'd made a mistake booking this house. It backs on to a hotel, has a parking lot on one side, and opposite is either untended grass/wasteland or is used for coach parking. The house is out on its own (with one neighbour) and it didn't feel completely safe or secure on first glance. It doesn't have much kerb appeal!
But then all the positives start appearing! It was easy to get access via a couple of steps, and then using an electronic lock. The house is well decorated, with a comfortable lounge and dining area, and a very spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs are three large bedrooms (two double/kings) and a twin room, and there is a spare fold-down bed. There are bathrooms with showers on both floors. The air-conditioning works great, and there is an outside deck if you need that. There is parking for at least two cars.
The only worry inside is that the sliding door for the upstairs bathroom doesn't feel very secure. It does have a catch now, but still could be improved.
The owners have provided info on the local area, with maps and leaflets describing most of the attractions. It is genuinely just 10 mins walk to views of the falls.
So, ignore the location. It is great value, is lovely inside, and feels safe and comfortable. We'd book again!
