Clean and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay - The condo was super clean and comfortable. It was in need of updating, but that matters little to me since it was so clean! We would definitely come back!
Nice resort and friendly staff but a few problems
A very nice resort and convenient to WDW. First unit we checked into had to AC working. But they switched us without too much problem. Other unit dishwasher did not work. We just couldn't wash the dishes, but didn't know that until halfway through our stay. Otherwise, rooms were very clean and the housekeeping staff was very helpful. Enjoyed the many pools and hot tubs.
one star only because it did not allow 0 stars
We did not get to stay one night in this place. It was horrible. To start it took over an hour to check in. Then when I go to the room they were still in it I guess cleaning it. It smelled funny but I was running late for our dinner reservations so we left our stuff there and rushed to dinner. We got back and my daughter went to her room to get ready for bed. When she pulled back the sheets there were bugs on her pillow. When I went in the master bedroom there were bugs in the lights over the toilet and the light over he sink was FULL of bugs. I called the front desk and they keep giving me the run-around. Finally after 2 hours and numerous calls one person came out and said yep there are bugs in the room. After that we went to the front desk and told them we wanted a refund, we were unable to get any refund except $21 in extra taxes they charged at check in. It was a nightmare. Other issues, this was not the room pictured in the ad. It was straight from the 80's. Old room not the nice modern room we paid for. The front desk tried to charge us for the pet fee again and said we had to attend a tour even after I paid full price for 2 nights. I am very lucky I only live a little over an hour away because if I was from out of state I would have had even a worse experience. This ruined my daughter's 18th Birthday weekend plans. I have messaged the owner numerous times and no answer. They were quick to answer before getting my money now all I get is silence.
the Westgate experience was overall good. Condo was clean and adequate for our family.
We did have a problem with the transportation to and from the park whick we discussed with management. The bus dropped us off but didn’t return to pick us up until after several phone calls. We waited with three children and a baby for over an hour before someone picked us up.
Ok, but not what we were expecting
This was our 3rd time staying at the Westgate Town Center....The first 2 times we were in a newer building with a balcony, and it was fabulous! We were a little disappointed after we checked in to be directed to the older looking 2 story town homes..which were far away from the pools and very close to the road, (you can actually hear the traffic going by). The place looked nice, like it had been repainted with updated furniture, but the kitchen was a little outdated, the cabinets being the main frustration, as they are older (1980's style) and hard to open since there's no knobs lol....The bathrooms were alright...the old, weird, metal protector over the toilet paper was so irritating ....everything was pretty much clean when we arrived except for the dirty sheets in the front bedroom, which we had to have changed immediately after we got in at 10:00 at night :/ Ultimately, it worked for what we needed since we were spending most of our time at the parks, but I would not have booked this property had I known it's location...won't be booking this one again...still love Westgate, but will be booking other properties there from now on.
Wish you had called us, we would have requested a different unit for you since you know Westgate Resorts very well.
