As such, the property offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the full flavour of old Madrid from a privileged and stylish vantage point. The apartment offers access to one of the Plaza's arched entranceways, located at its doorstop. Meanwhile, Madrid's Puerta del Sol, with its excellent transport communications and extensive shopping district, is only a short distance away. The apartment itself, located up three flights of stairs, is located in a traditional building, and has been decorated by a professional design studio to eye-catching effect. As a one-bedroom apartment, this property is ample. The décor is warm and modern, while the original artwork that adorns the walls, the hardwood floors and the stone wash basin in the bathroom add to its overall quality and charm. The kitchen has a stone topped island that doubles as a breakfast bar.

Surface area: 65 m2. Third Floor (no lift/elevator). The entrance leads into the kitchen that connects via two archways into the living / dining room with two large balconies facing out onto the street. The living area contains a 2-seater sofa, an armchair, a coffee table, shelving, an LCD TV, music player and a glass dining table that seats up to six people. The master suite consists of a double bedroom (queen-sized bed 1.60m x 2.00m) with two bedside tables. There is also a dressing area and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate half-bathroom. The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, 4-ring ceramic hob (stove), dishwasher, washing machine and a breakfast bar with three stools.
WE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE IN MADRID AND THIS APARTMENT HAD A LOT TO DO WITH IT. IT, OBVIOUSLY, HAS BEEN RECENTLY TOTALLY REBUILT. EVERYTHING WAS REALLY VERY NICELY DONE. THE RESERVATION TEAM AT SPAIN-SELECT WERE FANTASTICALLY HELPFUL, IN EVERY WAY. THEY EVEN HELPED US BY RESERVING A CAR AND DRIVER FROM THE AIRPORT-HE TOOK US TO THEIR CHECK-IN OFFICE AND TO THE DOOR OF THE APARTMENT BUILDING FOR AN AGREEABLE COST. THE LOCATION COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER-IT IS ALMOST DIRECTLY ON PLAZA MAYOR-BUT IS STILL VERY QUIET.
THE ONLY THING I WOULD WORN PEOPLE ABOUT IS THAT THERE IS NO LIFT AND IT IS 4 STORIES UP. NOT AN ISSUE FOR US-BUT FOR OLDER FOLKS DEALING WITH THE BAGS- THAT COULD BE A PROBLEM.
COFFEE BARS AND RESTAURANTS AND THE MAIN TRAVEL INFORMATION OFFICE ARE RIGHT THERE ON PLAZA MAYOR AND PLAZA DI SPAGNA IS VERY CLOSE ALSO.
Apartment was clean and well furnished. The location suited us perfectly. Easy walk to Prado, Atocha, Gran Via and Palace. Amenities were close at hand as well as some great restaurants. Be sure to check out the San Miguel mercado, great place to buy produce and have a bebido! Spain Select (Kendall) responded to email questions in within a couple hours. Van and Pat
Had a wonderful stay at this lovely flat, right by plaza mayor and within walking distance of every madrid attraction. The flat was just as described and pictured at this site, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
