As one of our most modern and stylish properties in Valencia, this beautiful penthouse apartment is a unique base for guests looking for something special during their time in the city. Many of Valencia´s must-see sights and attractions are within easy walking distance and the area is home to some of the best restaurants, shops and cafes in the city. Good transport links mean guests can enjoy easy access to the beach, the airport and the world-renowned City of Arts and Sciences without any difficulty. The apartment itself is found within a brand new building containing only four apartments in total, ensuring guests plenty of privacy and space. No expense has been spared in the building and furnishing of the apartment, from the unique detailing on the outside of the property to the Gaudi-inspired staircase in the living room. One of the highlights of the apartment is its private roof terrace - the perfect place to enjoy an al-fresco meal or relax and unwind with an after-dinner drink following a long day´s sightseeing. Moving inside, the focus is on space and light, and the beautiful open-plan living area has high ceilings, top quality furnishings and large windows that give great views out to the Miguelete, the Cathedral and the famous Plaza de la Virgen. There are two separate dining areas - one in the brand new and fully-equipped kitchen and another in a separate dining room again with those great views. Climbing the elegant winding staircase to the second floor, guests will find the bedrooms, each individually decorated and with modern en-suite bathrooms and plenty of storage space. All of the bedrooms lead out onto the roof terrace, and as a result are filled with light during much of the day, whilst the apartment´s situation on a pedestrian street means traffic noise is kept to an absolute minimum, ensuring a good night´s sleep. With its elegant furnishings, tasteful decoration, outdoor terrace and great location, this is a wonderful option for anyone looking to experience this vibrant city to the full. This apartment is found in the same buiding as the other Micalet properties on the Spain Select books; Micalet I and Micalet II and therefore is a great option for families or groups who want to book separate apartments whilst staying in the same vicicinity.

Surface area: 4th floor duplex attic with lift. 120m2 + 25m2 terrace. Ground floor entrance leads to living area with two 3-seater sofas and 2 armchairs around a center coffee table. TV and DVD. Dining area is equipped with table and chairs for 6 people. Fully equipped kitchen with smaller table and chairs for 4 people. Separate laundry room with washing machine and drier. Ground floor has a shower room. Top level: 3 bedrooms around a center terrace of 25m2. Master bedroom is equipped with queen size bed (1.50m x 1.90m), fitted wardrobes and en suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 have slightly sloping ceilings and queen size beds (1.50m x 1.90m). Bedroom 2 has en suite shower room. All three bedrooms have fitted cupboards and access to the terrace. Roof top private terrace equipped with 1 sofas, 2 easy chairs and a coffee table. Small grill and sink. Views of the Miguelete Cathedral tower.
Our family (2 adults, 4 children (7,5,3,1)) had a great time at the Micalet Ático. There was more than enough room, each bedroom well appointed, spacious and generous with Loewe bathroom amenities. There were tall ceilings on the first floor and many dining options inside including kitchen table, outside dining table and top floor large balcony.
The kitchen was very well stocked with all cutlery, crockery, and other cooking equipment. We cook together as a large family and this enabled that comfortably. There was also a good amount of cleaning equipment, as well as washer, dryer, and clothesline.
Despite being one in a building and within a central location, noise was not a problem at all. We quite enjoyed looking out the windows to the cathedral below with its soaring tower and street colourful street performers.
Even with younger children, the design and decoration of the apartment were beautiful but practical and comfortable. The stairs connecting the two floors were not a problem, we just had to keep an eye on our new walker (1 year old) for this.
We did face some power outages (which we fixed on the closely located fuse box by the front door) on the first day as well as the clothes dryer not drying, however, these issues were promptly attended to by our contact Celia. She was a gracious and amiable host. We had a very good experience with everyone at SpainSelect, especially our booking agent Lauren. Their hard work and professionalism elevated our stay at Micalet Àtico.
The one slight glitch is the access to the bathrooms from the two bedrooms with ensuite. These are not separated by much. However, this was not a problem for us - it just required a little more careful timing.
Not only would we come back but also we would very seriously consider all future accommodations in relevant Spanish cities with SpainSelect.
Ruim appartement bereikbaar met lift. Het appartment bestaat uit twee verdiepingen binnendoor bereikbaar met een trap. Op de verdieping waar je binnenkomt zijn de woonkamer, de eetkamer en een badkamer/toilet. op de hoogste verdieping zijn 3 slaapkamers, waarvan 2 met eigen badkamer/toilet. Op deze verdieping is ook een fijn buitenterras. Alles zoals beschreven en getoond op foto's kloppen met de werkelijkheid. Kortom een heel fijn appartement om heerlijk te verblijven in Valencia. Wij vonden Italiaans restaurant San Tommaso het beste in de buurt. Voor ontbijt bakker om de hoek.
The apartment was beautiful, clean and in a super location but the was absolutely nothing in the kitchen to prepare a meal.
super mooi appartement gelegen op de meest fantastische plaats in Valencia ! daar wij vroeg aankwamen in Valencia heeft een hele vriendelijk dame ons na het vertrek van de vorige huurders al onze bagage in het appartement laten plaatsen en ons al een rondleiding gegeven . op een afgesproken tijdstip mochten wij dan ons appartement betreden. dit was mega-clean ! ( besteklade lag alles lepeltje-lepeltje ! ) alles was aanwezig. mooie slaapkamers, met ruime badkamers, leuk terras, geweldig mooie leefruimte met mooi uitzicht. bij het openen van je ramen in de late namiddag hoorde je het zalig geluid van de straatmuzikanten . zalig ! zelf het luiden van de klokken om 09,00 u in de morgen vonden wij geweldig. dit was nu nog eens een top appartement dat volgens ons geen minpuntjes had !

On arrival we were greeted by the local agent who spoke good English and showed us around the apartment and how to work all functionalities such as air con etc. Was a bit of a delay trying to find the actual apartment as it's not sign posted or labeled quite obviously but just a big building door. First impression of walking into the apartment we were amazed at how nice it looked, very clean and just as it is in the pictures online. Bedrooms were also lovely but was not aware there was no separating doors in bedrooms to the toilet/shower area, although in 1 bedroom shower is frosted and in the other bedroom there is a curtain rail you can pull along but not so obviously known before booking. The little terrace outside was lovely, bedrooms nicely decorated and very clean including the toilets. Just remember to slouch sometimes as the ceilings slope due to being attic level apartment.! Great location too we were right by the square with lots of cafe/restaurants and ice cream shops, although I would strongly recommend dining at the restaurants in the little alleyways rather than that square as they are much more authentic and nicer! Customer service also not that great at restaurants around that square, but good little shops to visit and nice walk around. The doors to the apartment building are very secure including our apartment door, can also double lock these. The agent was on hand by phone if we needed anything during our stay. Overall our stay was absolutely lovely and the apartment was great, only negative point was that the water in showers could stay hot for longer and for 5 girls getting ready for the evening was difficult with only 1 mirror in bedrooms 1 and 2 which were in the bathroom areas not the actual bedrooms, we managed okay but apartment could definitely benefit from having bedroom mirrors also.
My wife and me and our 2 adult children rented this for 3 days in Valencia. This is probably the nicest apartment in all of Valencia. The building is only about 100 feet from the Cathedral and is in the center of the old part of Valencia. The views from the penthouse terrace to the Cathedral tower are truly amazing. We had a wonderful time hanging out and drinking wine there. The apartment itself is newly constructed, marble floors, 2 stories, and has all the modern conveniences. The stairway railing is hand wrought iron in the modernista style - absolutely beautiful. The balcony from the living room overlooks the main plaza - people watching from above is great fun. So I highly recommend this property for anyone and everyone except families with young children because of the stairs. Very cool!
