With a great central location just one block north of the famous Gran Vía avenue, this beautiful two bedroom, duplex apartment has been superbly renovated to the very highest standard. Nestled between the metro stations of Gran Vía, Chueca and Tribunal, the apartment is within walking distance of many of the capital's most famous sights and attractions. The Puerta de Sol and Royal Palace are to the south, whilst the vibrant neighbourhoods of Malasaña, Chueca and Alonso Martinez are situated to the north. A wide array of great shops, restaurants and bars are in the area immediately surrounding the apartment, making it the perfect neighbourhood for those who want to be in the heart of Madrid. The apartment itself is a stunning blend of the traditional and the modern, upholding many of its elegant original features whilst offering all the comforts and practical conveniences of a more modern home. Decoration has been kept classic and minimal, with splashes of rich colour in the various furnishings, art work and decorative pieces throughout the property. The open floor plan living and dining area is bright and spacious, with two small, traditional French balconies flooding the room with light during the day. Surface Area: 165 m2. First floor. Entrance hall leads to the spacious living room with 2 French windows overlooking the street. The living / dining area is divided into two different spaces, one furnished with a 3-seater sofa, 2 armchairs, 2 leather chairs, wooden coffee table and LCD TV with DVD. The other area is furnished with a glass dining table with seating for up to 6 people, a sideboard, 2 designer chairs and a piano. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including fridge / freezer, 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine / dryer. The master suite consists of a double bed (king-sized 1.80m x 2.00m) and walk-in closet, and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath. There is also an armchair, 2 bedside tables with designer lamps. There is a second bathroom with walk-in shower. The staircase leads you to the second bedroom furnished with 2 single beds (0.90m x 2.00m) and a desk with a chair.
Convenient location albeit in scruffy street. Very comfortable large main bedroom and bathroom but very inferior second bedroom with low ceiling and downstairs bathroom suitable only for children. This apartment is u suitable for 4 adults. Large sitting room and kitchen.
Our stay in Madrid at our apartment was fantastic. The check-in was extremely comfortable and the apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and located in a very convenient spot. I would highly recommend staying at a Spain Select property.
I would recommend HomeAway/Spain Select to anyone! The apartment was beautiful, spacious, clean and was better than we imagined. The rental process was very clear and thorough - no surprises - and the staff were professional and helpful every step of the way. Even on the day of our arrival, Hector Fernandez, of HomeAway met us at the apartment, oriented us to the features and spent time showing us essentials on a map of the city! The experience was terrific from start to finish!
This apartment exceeded our expectations. We were so excited upon entering to find soaring ceilings, a huge living room with a comfortable sofa and chairs complete with piano (which my son played constantly) a nice kitchen, gorgeous, romantic master bedroom and large master bath with a large bath tub as well as a small second bath and loft space for sleeping on the "Second" floor. The apartment is very comfortable and stylishly decorated. The only downside was the bedroom on the second floor-the ceiling is approximately 6 ft and the space is really only appropriate for children-very small, dark and a bit claustrophobic for adults.I also wish they had a banister going up the very narrow steep steps. I was nervous each time I went up and down. The apartment is in a great location, only a few blocks from the metro-we had no problem getting around. With regard to management-they were there right on time to let us in when we arrived and provided us with two sets of keys and information on how to get around the city. On our second day, we were having problems with our hot water. We had to call management twice but after the second call they sent someone out and he easily spent 60-90 minutes trying to fix the problem-which we greatly appreciated. I'd highly recommend this apartment-a wonderful value. I can't imagine what you'd pay for a suite this size in a hotel. We'd go back in a second.
The apartment was beautiful and had a lot of space. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere and didn't need to take subway to go anywhere. Only downfall was sometimes the neighbor was loud so it woke us up several times. But overall great experience, would recommend to anyone. And Spain select is an awesome management company. Alex came to meet us late at night to check us in and gave very good suggestions on where to go.
Confortable, realmente grande, de buen gusto, bien equipado, bien mantenido, con una inmejorable ubicación, cerca de todo. Todo de acuerdo a lo acordado, cero sorpresas. Así podemos resumir nuestra estancia en el Valverde I, donde nos sentimos como en casa ,mi esposa, mis dos hijos y yo.
