With views of the centuries-old Alhambra palace and the soaring peaks of the Sierra Nevada, this very special property is one of the most unique in Granada. Furnished and decorated with the utmost care by the owner, this beautiful house is an effortless blend of classical Andalucian style and modern comforts and conveniences. Split over three levels, it is at once spacious and intimate. The open-plan living and dining room is bright and welcoming, and has been furnished in a discrete traditional style with original Andalucian furnishings and decoration. Wooden beams, tiled flooring, quality wooden furniture and an original fireplace make this a wonderful space to relax or enjoy a meal. The kitchen is in keeping with the classic Spanish style but has been fully-equipped with all modern appliances and everything guests may need during their stay. Each of the bedrooms has been individually decorated. The two double bedrooms offer breathtaking views of the Alhambra, the master bedroom also boasting a small terrace, perfect for enjoying breakfast or an after-dinner drink. The bathrooms are bright and elegant, with local tiles and fittings. The exterior of the property is equally charming, with a front garden complete with small swimming pool, fish pond and fountain and dining area. The roof-top terrace is a real highlight – with unbeatable views to the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada, guests can enjoy an al-fresco meal with a difference. The house has an underground garage, or alternatively guests can make use of the bus that stops almost on the doorstep of the house, and which will take them directly to the heart of the city. The house is located in the Albaycin, one of the oldest and undoubtedly most atmospheric parts of the city. With typical white-washed Andalucian houses, flower-filled patios and tiny tabernas, this quintessential Granada barrio clambers up the hill overlooking the Alhambra. The Mirador de San Nicolas at the very top of the hill is the place to go in the early evening as the sun sets spectacularly over the Alhambra. The Albaycin is tranquil and quiet, and gives visitors a unique the opportunity to soak up the city’s history and charm. House: 250m2 Grounds: 480m2. The house has 3 levels and is accessed from the top and going down 2 flights of steps. Access is through the hall with the twin bedroom on the left (0.90m x 1.90m). Right of the hall level, up two steps, we have two double bedrooms (1.40m x 1.90m) with en suite bathrooms with bathtubs. Both of these bedrooms have views of La Alhambra and one of them has a small terrace with a table and two chairs. All bedrooms have fitted cupboards. On the third level we have the office space with desk and book space, views of the Alhambra and door to access the rooftop terrace. Grounds: the front garden has a private pool 4m x 5m, table and chairs to seat 6 people and a fish pond with gold fish. Rooftop terrace has table and chairs to seat 6 people.

Clean, tasteful decor, masterful architectural design and details, exceptional view

Miguel, our host, made us feel welcome in his special home. We enjoyed the outside spaces every bit as much as the inside of his home. The pool was refreshing after lots of walking in the summer heat. We enjoyed the rooftop balcony each morning for coffee. Then the evenings were spent enjoying the sunset unwinding and reflecting on such beautiful days in Granada. Great location in the Albaicin district. Lots of hills though. Not a good choice if you are not prepared to exercise. I got into better shape being there and feel the best I have felt in a long time. Beds were soooo comfortable! My family would DEFINITELY come back. Shutting the garage door to the incredible view of Alhambra as we got in the car the morning of our departure was one of the hardest doors I've ever had to shut. Sad to leave. THANK YOU, MIGUEL!

The house and view met all of our very high expectations. View from deck was breathtaking .

We loved staying in the Albacin neighborhood and the choice of properties could not have been more perfect. The house was so nice, and the location was also 5 star. Don't take a car to the house because the streets are tiny and the bus stop is right outside the door. Miguel could not have been a more gracious or helpful host. I gave him a big hug when we left.

Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

I have traveled a lot for work and for fun and this is honestly one of the most amazing places I have stayed. I spent a week in Spain with my 3 children, ages 16, 18 and 20, and for family accommodations a villa rather than a hotel seemed like the best combination of space, privacy and family time together. I booked this villa relatively last minute and it exceeded all expectations. When we entered through the main gate and looked down at the multi-leveled complex the historic house and grounds looked so big that my son asked Miguel (the owner) how many other people were staying there with us - it has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are quite large and have their own modern bathrooms and also incredible views from separate balconies of the Alhambra Palace. The 3rd bedroom has separate twin beds and was spacious enough for my 2 daughters to share comfortably. The kitchen is well appointed and we used it for cooking some meals, the common areas are large and inviting, and the back patio is very large and charming (with orange and pomegranate trees and lots of traditional Spanish tile) and the pool was very clean and a welcome respite from the hot afternoon sun. The villa is also well situated for seeing all the main sites in Granada, and one of the trolley lines stops directly outside the main gate. This place was extremely memorable for all of us - I hope to some day be able to get back.

Magnificent - fantastic villa and host!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to Granada and what a delight the villa was and also the host (Miguel). The views to the Alhambra from the top patio were breathtaking and we loved seeing it change from early morning to being lit up at night. The downstairs patio and swimming pool were very peaceful and offered welcome shade. The house was perfect for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). Very comfortable and well appointed. Miguel (owner and host) was brilliant and helped us in many ways. His "can do" attitude and tips were a huge help to us. We've been lucky enough to have travelled a lot and 5 star reviews don't happen very often. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa and giving it 5 stars! Muchas gracias Miguel.

Fabulous house with magnificent views over the Alhambra

  • 5 of 5

Five of us stayed here for three nights in late April. We arrived Friday evening and the owner miguel showed us around and explained how everything worked. There was a very welcome supply of basic food.

The house contained everything we needed, was clean and we settled in very quickly

What we loved about it was the roof terrace with wonderful views over the Alhambra and the garden which provided us with a lovely area to sit in when the sun came out. The house isn't easy to find, our taxi driver struggled. But the area, the Albaycin is a lovely one to stay in full of history and handy shops and bars. We loved it and the town. We did the Alhambra trip which was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely house, area and city, made for a great break
