A contemporary, spacious and comfortable two bedroom apartment in an elegant Victorian building on the edge of the City of London, a few minutes walk from Brick Lane.
The apartment is in a great location, on a quiet, residential street, yet surrounded by cool cafes, restaurants and bars. It’s three minutes walk away from Shoreditch High Street station, which has quick and easy access to the West End, ten minutes walk from Liverpool Street/The City (for connections to Stansted) and ten minutes walk from Old Street (a few stops from Kings Cross Station and the Eurostar).
The apartment has a lovely and spacious kitchen-diner living room with old pine wood flooring, spot lighting and two comfortable sofas so there is plenty of space to sit. Two bedrooms (one en suite), and two bathrooms, are set along a corridor which gives maximum privacy and space.
The apartment is well-equipped with all the mod cons and a large collection of books for you to browse.
About owner Rob MacDonald: I'm a sociable, easy-going Australian doctor passionate about travel, and exploring the world. I grew up in Perth, and I now divide my time between Perth and London.
Why Rob MacDonald chose this property: I bought the property in 2008, when this area was up and coming. I chose to live in Shoreditch because it has a community feeling - people are really friendly, easy going and open here - and it's an exciting, creative and lively neighbourhood with great day and nightlife. I love the sense of history in this area - there's even a book written about my street - and every building has its story.
What makes this apartment unique: I love the look of my elegant building, and as I'm a sociable person I loved the big lounge-kitchen-diner where I can have friends around. But most of all, I love walking out of my door for breakfast, lunch and dinner and to chat with the friendly, creative community on my doorstep. I am a foodie, and there is no place in London, or even the world, that offers the diversity and excitement of my neighbourhood.
