About The Owner

My husband and I bought Osprey Lodge as a retirement project. We wanted a holiday home for our growing family to spend time together and enjoy.

The Owner purchased this house in 2015

Why The Owner chose Kingussie

We had enjoyed many happy family holidays in the Highlands and we were keen to find a home with character. After much searching, we knew as soon as we arrived at Invertromie that we had found what we looking for despite it being a sadly neglected 200 year old building with no roof. We have never regretted the decision to buy and took great pleasure in contributing to its development.

Our family and their respective partners and families love it too. They all have different interests but they each find plenty to do.

The grandchildren enjoy spending time with the hens, shetland ponies, cattle, sheep, lambs and horses which are all within an easy walk.

What makes this house unique

Osprey Lodge provides the perfect base to chill and relax. While there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, the best days are often spent exploring around the lodge, taking time to see and listen. On the paths you will find nature enthusiasts who are happy to share their knowledge. I am now much more aware of the changing seasons and recognise trees, birds and wild flowers.

Beautiful Cottage, Stunning Location

  • 5 of 5

Very well looked after, clean, great quality fixtures and fittings, hot tub, sky tv and an amazing log burning stove. The chickens are friendly too (watch if you leave the back door open). Overall highly recommend. Had a great few days.
