A Very Beautiful And Stylish Georgian Mews Building, Built In 1792.


This is a brand new two bedroom apartment. Built on the ground floor of a much loved and luxurious property in a very cool location in Dublin. It is an oasis of calm but when you step outside you are in the centre of everything. It is a wonderful location from which to explore Dublin at day and at night. I bought this mews 19 years ago. It has been recently refurbished and done to a standard of luxury throughout. The two story mews building comprises of two apartments. This apartment has two bedrooms and has great outdoor space. The apartment is 850 square feet and has a large open plan living and and dining/kitchen area. There are two bedrooms with a king bed in one room and two twin beds in the other. There are two shower rooms. One of the bathrooms is en-suite. The beds are very high quality. There is WiFi throughout the apartment.

The apartment has the original stone walls and has lots of character and is very cosy. The location is right in the centre of Georgian Dublin. It is a strictly no smoking property but smoking is permitted outside. We are interested in renting to mature, responsible people who will respect our property and be considerate of other guests. The apartment has limited wheelchair access. The doors are 900 mm wide. Please enquire for further details.

We rented both the 3 bedroom unit and the 2 bedroom in this wonderful Mews building. We were in Dublin for a family celebration -- and simply could not have wished for more spectacular accommodations. As other reviewers have commented, the apartments are outfitted with the very 'top of the line' everything! The mix of an old building with full character and sleek, modern facilities is the perfect match. To add to the wonderful layout, Mairead was so very thoughtful. She knew we were celebrating a milestone birthday, so we arrived to a lovely bouquet of flowers and a personal birthday card. Such a lovely welcoming gesture. We had Paul pick us up at the airport, and his warm welcome started the weekend on a great stride. Unfortunately there were too many in our group to be able to use his services except for airport transfers, but I would recommend his services to anyone who wants a personalized tour of Dublin. Great location and customer service!

The Apartment is very nice with all the amenities you would need. The location is perfect for getting around downtown Dublin by foot. The next time I would probably choose to stay on the top floor as we had some noisy neighbors upstairs but overall a fantastic stay. Paul Rochford looks after the house and highly suggest you use him for airport transfers. He's a great ambassador to Ireland/Dublin.

Clean, quiet and modern. Perfectly location.

We stayed in the lower of the two apartments. Absolutely fantastic with modern amenities and everything you could need for a great stay including good wifi, TV and a dryer. The beds were super comfortable and the bedrooms lead out to a wonderful area at the back which we weren't really able to enjoy thanks to the Irish weather. Overall, we liked it so much we extended our stay.

Easy walking distance to Grafton Street and the Grand Canal in the opposite direction with plenty of places to eat and convenience stores to pick up whatever you need.

Communication with the owner was great and as other reviews have mentioned, I would recommend using Paul's services as a driver. He was waiting for us at the airport and brought us directly to the apartment. He handed over the keys and gave us a quick tour of the place to help us settle in.

Chez Jay gas everything you need to enjoy Dublin, all within walking distance to St. Steven's Green, Grafton Street, Trinity University, the National Gallery, etc. Lovely outdoor space...if only it had stopped raining we would have enjoyed using that more! Great vacation rental.

Perfectly equipped, well located.

My two college age sons and I spent a week here in the lower apartment. The place is wonderfully well equipped with everything you might need, including comfortable linens, a nice patio, a generous living room with comfortable furniture, and modern bathrooms. The proximity to shops and services (we stocked the pantry and had my sons iPhone screen fixed the first day, all within a block). A short direct walk to Stephens Green, Grafton Street, Merrion Square, and various pubs and restaurants. Don't forget to go the other direction (away from the thick of things) to a lovely canal and residential area with a bike path and a city bike program.

The owner is very helpful with suggestions and directions, both before and during our stay.

My only negative is that if there are tenants upstairs it is loud.. the floors must be a hard surface, because they just have to walk around to be clearly heard downstairs which was sometimes annoying especially late at night.

Overall, though, I Would highly recommend this place, slightly away from all the noise and bustle, charming, safe, well appointed and convenient to all.

This mews building is set in the heart of Georgian Dublin. There are two apartments in this building. Chez Jay 1 has 3 bedrooms and is located upstairs. Chez Jay 2 has 2 bedrooms and is located on the ground floor. It was built in 1792 and was originally the stables of one of the great houses in Fitzwilliam Square. It is within short walking distance of great restaurants, pubs, the Shelbourne and the Merrion Hotels and Grafton Street. It is very close to the National Art Gallery and Government buildings. Ireland’s finest Michelin star restaurants are all within easy walking distance. While the area is quiet, there is a real sense of being in the centre of everything. There are lovely walks along the canal and in the parks of Merrion Square and St Stephens Green.

Bookings of 3 nights accepted within a month of the requested dates.
St Patricks Day and Easter - minimum of 5 nights.
During the Pope's visit in August - minimum of 7 nights.
A reservation deposit of 25% is required and the balance is paid 60 days before arrival.
Security deposit of €500 due 10 days prior to arrival. We accept payment through PayPal and a credit card can be used.
