Beautiful garden flat in Georgian town house in the city's exclusive Park Area. Large open plan lounge kitchen diner with two bedroom suites, each with their own fully tiled bathroom.

Walnut flooring in living areas with new gloss kitchen, breakfast bar and dining table. Dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, hob,double oven and fridge freezer. Flat screen HDTV, DVD player and WiFi. Bedrooms fully carpeted, each having a king size bed and en suite bathroom - the master has a bath, shower and feature oriental bamboo tiling. The second bedroom has a limestone tiled bathroom with shower cubicle.

The apartment has a private car space to the rear and access to the residents private gardens with room for relaxing and sunbathing. Access to the flat is via a private entrance from the street via its own patio.

The park area sits at the edge of the city centre but out with the noise hustle and bustle of the shopping and leisure. This exclusive district sits on one of Glasgow's 'drumlins' or small hills, and although 150 metres from charing cross, is very quiet and leafy. As the name suggests its predominant feature is the park. The buildings are predominantly Georgian and Victorian town houses populated by the city's professionals, artists and creatives. The greenery makes it an excellent place for kids to get some space in the city. Hip adults and children equally enjoy the area. Great pubs restaurants and night-life, museums, art galleries, concerts and theatre life are all walkable. But quiet sleep is enabled, it's the best of both worlds.

A Lovely Clean Apartment

We booked this lovely apartment in August. It’s very comfortable, beautifully decorated and has everything you might need along with thoughtful touches, such as some interesting toys for the children. The kitchen is spotless, modern and very well equipped. Having two bathrooms when on holiday with the family is always going to make life easier. Both bathrooms had plenty of good quality towels. The whole place is spotless and very tidy.

We had access to the private garden across from the apartment and just a few minutes walk away from Kelvingrove Park. It’s within walking distance to some very decent pubs, restaurants and shopping areas.

We loved staying in this beautiful area of Glasgow.

Perfect Location!

Stayed here with my family (kids 8 and 10) for two weeks and it was the absolute perfect location. Easy walking distance to all the downtown activities as well as the beautiful Kelvingrove park right nearby where the kids could burn off some energy. The apartment was exactly as advertised and more than enough room for all of us. Carol was great at promptly answering emails throughout the whole process and very easy to work with. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful, well appointed flat

What a wonderful flat! We wished we never had to leave! Had great amenities, including toys for young children, outlet adapters, etc. In-flat washer and dryer also allowed us to travel with minimal luggage. Bed in "second bedroom" (both were big enough to be considered master bedrooms, really, with their own en suites) was incredibly comfy, as was the huge couch. Owner gave us passcode to access key holder so we could enter on our own, but ended up welcoming us on site anyway, and explained some of the flat's quirks (many of them common to most Glasgow homes, such as electric showers, etc). She also left a handy, comprehensive guide in the flat, making everything super easy. Area is beautiful and quiet, easily accessible to both downtown and West End, and close to Kelvingrove Park (and its playgrounds), which was super for our toddler. If you need to access the flat via public transportation, I would recommend the 4A bus, which stops at the Sainsbury's garage at the very beginning of Woodlands Ave.

Perfection!!

When we walked through the front door of this flat our jaws dropped! The flat is in a nice residential neighborhood of Glasgow, a few steps from so many things to do! The flat is spacious, beautifully decorated, and QUIET. There is a washer AND a dryer. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped.........this coming from a couple who mostly cooks in due to dietary restrictions..... so when I say well-equipped I mean WELL EQUIPPED. Private parking is behind the flat and one may also park on the street for free on weekends. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice. Plush linens and towels were provided. Nice TV's were available in living room and master suite and the Wifi which we depend on greatly was excellent.

As far as location..... We walked to Glasgow University, the Cathedral District, The Necropolis, Kelvingrove Art & Museum, Kelvingrove Park, The Piping Museum, and the concert arena SSE Hydro to see Don Henley. We also made multiple day trips in our rental car from this location.

Cannot say enough good things about this flat!! Highly recommend!

Wonderful week in Glasgow

This was probably the best experience we have had when renting accommodation for our vacations. We were very lucky with the weather in Glasgow when we were there in June 2016 so were able to really get the best out of the great location. There is so much to do within walking distance of the apartment and also very easy to get around on public transit. For anyone who doesn't know the "one day ticket" on the First bus lines makes life very easy. Oh - and on weekend and holidays it is only 4.30 pounds for two people travelling together.

The flat is gorgeous, super clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable and relaxing in the evenings after all that walking in the sun. We did have a little problem with the plumbing due to an air lock but Carol was right on it and sent a professional company out to fix it right away.

Our hosts were very caring and thoughtful and we would go back in a minute.

Just one note on the Homeaway/VRBO experience as this is the second time we have had a delay with the refund of our deposit. Carol advised me by email the next day that the inspection had been done and she had okayed the refund, more thant two weeks later I still don't have it. I have had numerous emails from the owner to follow up and I know that the issue is on the VRBO end. Please make this process more user friendly for owners and help to keep the good reputation that is so important in their business.
