About Ilonka and Vincent Biermans
At the moment we are a team of 8, all from the Netherlands. But it all started with Vincent and Ilonka Biermans. After living in France for a couple of years, this sportive couple (both fanatic triathletes) bought in 2006 a green meadow with the idea to build their dream there: a chalet to have guests to share their love for the mountains with. In the following years they built AlpeLune from scratch, and got 3 children. Their warmth and enthusiasm attracted people from all over the world to stay at their home, and made them return... At the moment they run the chalet with Taco and Annemarie, 2 great climbers. Every free day they use to be in the mountains, with climbing or split boarding. And do not hesitate, they love to share their favorite spots with you!
Ilonka and Vincent Biermans purchased this Chalet in 2008
Why Ilonka and Vincent Biermans chose Puy-St-Vincent
After working as a sports instructor in the Hautes Alpes for a couple of years, Vincent knew he wanted to live here. And it was not hard to convince Ilonka, as extreme sports ruled her life. Their choice for Puy Saint Vincent was obvious, since it's a lovely village and nice familial ski station at the same time. But the Briancon region is not only known for her amazing skiing, her incredible weather attracts a lot of people as well. With 300 days of sunshine a year the blue skies are an almost permanent feature. In the winter its cold, and in the summer the Mediterranean climate means 30 degrees nearly every day!
What makes this Chalet unique
Because the chalet is completely built by Vincent and Ilonka, it has everything for a great holiday. And whats not there, they'll try to arrange it when you ask for it. In every small detail you'll feel the love with which it's built. The chalet is situated just above the village which makes the view extraordinary, you'll feel yourself surrounded by nature.
