Dated property needs refresh
Good News: Location is fairly close to Main Street area (see exceptions below). Booking process was fairly easy. We happened to meet property manager on way in, so that was helpful.
Bad News: House is on a very steep street. If there’s a lot of snow and ice walking to town will be hazardous. “Shorty’s Stairs” located nearby but there’s 150 steps and only useful for the physically fit. Garage is small, so larger rental car (Expedition, Suburban) doesn’t work. Make sure it’s 4 wheel drive!
Bedding (pillows, mattresses, etc.) are dated, as are the furnishings. House was not very clean upon our arrival. Small appliances (coffee maker and toaster) badly need replacement. Refrigerator doesn’t cool all that well, and the dishwasher was difficult to operate. Glass top dining room table is impractical. Basic household supplies like liquid dishwashing soap, glass cleaner, dish drain rack not in place. Loft area upstairs unusable as is. There is a hot tub on downstairs deck but we didn’t use it (no instructions anyway).
Overall we enjoyed our stay but biggest challenge is that this house is located on a very steep street. It’s unwalkable in snow and ice.
We are so disappointed that you did not thoroughly enjoy your stay in our property, and we certainly wish that you had reached out to us during your stay to let us know, as we then would have had an opportunity to address your concerns and possibly even move you to another more suitable property.
I was made aware that you spoke to our Guest Relations Manager both before and after leaving this review, and you told him that you had a wonderful stay with us, but that you wish you had done a bit more research about the property before booking it in order to have a better idea of location. It is true that this property is located on a very steep incline, and that during the winter months it can be difficult to navigate without 4 wheel drive or snow tires. As for the garage, it is a standard garage, which can be difficult for larger vehicles to park in. It is also true that this in not a newly remodeled or newly redecorated home, but we do not advertise it as such either. The furnishings are not brand new, but they are also not in bad condition. Also, had you reached out about the coffee maker and toaster, we would have been happy to replace them. I'm not certain what you mean by the loft area being unusable as is, but we are saddened that you felt this way. Regarding the housekeeping issues; we will be reaching out to our housekeeping supervisor to be sure these things are addressed immediately.
Again, we were disappointed to see you leave such a bad review for this property, even after sharing with our Guest Relations Manager several times how wonderful your stay was with us. We do hope that you will come and stay with us again at a different property. We look forward to taking better care of you next time.
Very well appointed property. Our family enjoyed our stay very much.
Thank you, Heidi, for booking and staying in one of our Padzu properties! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to host you all again sometime in the near future!

Park City summer rental
Nice home, comfortable and clean. Parking in the garage. Great location if you want to walk to town for restaurants, shopping, etc. House located on steep hillside, so walking back from town is uphill. Generally not a big deal, but we had some trouble with the A/C, and during a hot spell it was a little warm. Otherwise a nice property for a family or two couples.
First off - The service from the rental agency was stellar! Beau was quick to return a call and all the pre- rental communication was clear and easy.
The property is only two blocks off Main street (112 steps on the gigantic staircase just up the hill from the property, but the easiest way to get to Main). About a 5-min walk. One note, Ontario Road, where the house is located is extremely steep. If you are renting this house in the winter you must have a 4x4. We rented a GMC Yukon Xl and it did not fit in the garage and was hard to turn around on the road– the parking is extremely tight so rent the smallest 4x4 you can.
We are a family of four – two adults and two 8-year-olds. We had plenty of space and used the upstairs loft area as our “ski outfit” staging area. This would make a good space for overflow guest as there is a pull-out couch but there is no bathroom on this level. Down the stairs, the main floor has a family room, kitchen, bath and Queen bedroom. The big disappointment is the fireplace is gas but they do not have any gas logs – so if you want to have a fire – you must do it the old fashion way and use wood. They did provide the wood but we did not use it.
The living room space is a little tight but the kitchen is well thought out and the appliances are upgraded. We cooked almost every night and used the kitchen thoroughly. The laundry is right off the kitchen and very convenient.
Downstairs is the Master with a King Water Bed, not an old school waterbed, but a water mattress. It was comfortable but we were a little worried in the beginning. There is also a room with two twin beds and a shared bathroom with access from the Master but also to the hallway. We were a little surprised that the Master did not have a private bath. Off the Master is a small deck that has the Hot Tub. We sat in this every day after skiing and it was wonderful. One suggestion that we would have liked were TV’s in the rooms. The only TV in the house was in the family room.
We skied Park City the whole time. We also dined at Riverhorse Grill, a must for a fancy night out which was amazing, and would recommend Wasatch Brew Pub for lunch.
The best take-a-away is that for a family of 4-6 this place is very comfortable, great location, all the amenities you need -just remember your 4x4 in the winter!
