Lovely House & Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

We stayed just before Christmas as a party of 5 adults and 2 children. The house was immaculate and the owners both friendly and helpful from registering interest to repayment of the deposit. The center is just a simple 5-10 minute walk from the house.

We've been to Bruges many times. A real gem of a city although very expensive around the tourist areas in the center at the time of writing. The house is just outside of this so suggest using local bars & restaurants which are just around the corner. Or you could eat in of course as cooking facilities in the house are first rate.

One note of caution; the stairs are steep but this is typical for the style of house. Would definitely recommend the place and the owners and the city. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to stay again.

The house was immaculately clean, modern, and welcoming.

We were welcomed to the house by Yvan. He was a wealth of information and told us a great deal about Bruges' history and culture.

The kitchen had everything we could need and the courtyard was great for breakfast. The bedroom layouts suited the 6 of us very well as our ages ranged from 11 to 70 years.

The house is quietly situated and within easy walking distance of all the sites and attractions in Bruges. Absolutely ideal for our long weekend family reunion.

Wonderful location, beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our family of five. The location was great. Much closer than I expected and it was great to be so close to the main shopping street. It felt very safe and we happily left our fifteen year old daughter at home some of the time when she didn't want to visit "another museum". Having a full kitchen was great as we did cook a few times. Unfortunately the bed in the master room was too soft for my husband (although I thought it was blissfully soft so you can't please everyone) and the single bed in the children's room was also not comfortable for my 21 year old. But she put the bunk mattresses on the floor and that was ok. Its probably fine for small children.

I definitely recommend the house as a wonderful place to stay and both Yvan (who met us when we arrived) and Ans (who answered my many emails) were very helpful.

Quaint Flemish House

  • 5 of 5

Everything from making an enquiry, communciation to arriving from Yvans & Ans were first class.

On arrival we found a fabulous, charming Flemish house. It was very warm and welcoming. Yvan came to meet us and gave us all the advice on their house to make our stay comfortable. Plus all the tourist tips to make the most of our time in Bruges.

We all slept extremely well, beds are comfortable, bathrooms were very clean and plenty of hot water. The kitchen had everything you possibly need for your stay, even though we never cooked as we were there only for a long weekend. The location is fantastic 5 minutes walk from the main market square. 10 minutes walk from the train station. It was a quiet little street.

The only concern is the steep staircases as we were a party of mature ladies but we managed. You would need to consider this if you have young children or elderly in your party. But for us it was a very small minus.

If you stay here you will not be disappointed.

Thanks Yvan & Ans

Book this house you will not be disappointed

  • 5 of 5

I cannot speak highly enough of this house. We were a party of 7 adults a 7 yr old and twin babies. Yvan was extremely patient showing us around the house and pointing out places to go whilst 2 very tired babies were screaming in the background. The accommodation is lovely and modern and very clean. The beds are nice and comfy and all within a very old traditional Flemish house. It is in an ideal position. Parking the car is not a problem at the station and not very expensive. This is far better than staying in a hotel. There are convenient supermarkets and the market on a Saturday is well worth a visit. We would not hesitate to stay here again if visiting Brugge. Thank you Ans and Yvan

Charming, well-appointed, well-situated, spacious

  • 5 of 5

Me, my friend and our 6 children (aged 10 - 16) stayed here for 4 nights in July 2015. We had an amazing time in Bruges and the house certainly contributed to that.

After unpacking, we parked at the station and walked the 8 minutes back to the house - a convenient arrangement. One really does not want a car in the center of Bruges!

The children quickly decided on the sleeping arrangements, the boys opting for the top floor. As written previously, the stairs to there are quite steep and the ceiling is low, but a very adventurous room for the youngsters.

The house is very well-appointed and spotlessly clean. Everything one may need is there. The wifi had no problem providing fast internet to 10 devices.

The teenage girls appreciated the proximity of the shopping streets. The mums enjoyed the culture and charm of the city.

Ans and Yvan were fast, friendly and perfect hosts before, during and after our stay.
