Perfect little home in a beautiful old city

  • 5 of 5

I can't speak highly enough about this home. The location: perfect. Just blocks away from many of the main attractions in town, but still a little off of the main streets so that you can enjoy some peace. The kitchen is lovely, the bedrooms are spacious & comfortable, and the patio is a great place to enjoy an afternoon beer or morning cup of tea.

The hosts were also kind enough to let my group over-stay our checkout time by several hours so that we had a place to store our luggage before our train departed.

We stayed in several homes in several cities on our trip, but this was our favorite by far.

Charming traditional flemish house

  • 4 of 5

This property is perfectly situated for exploring beautiful Bruges, our party of seven adults stayed here for 6 nights and found the house to meet all of our needs. Ans kindly met us at the house and gave us information on local eateries and grocery stores. The house is clean, spacious and welcoming and has everything you need in the kitchen. The only slight issue is the very steep stairs to the attic room, but this is a traditional flemmish house and therefore to be expected. Great holiday !

Owner's Response: Yes, it is a traditional Flemish house. Lovely to hear that you had a great holiday and the house did meet all your requirements. Indeed, the staircase to the attic room iyou can call it fairly steep (70 degrees).

Charming apartment; great location

  • 5 of 5

Everything about the house was great. Yvan welcomed us and showed us around, there were several little things provided like soap and coffee that made the stay quite comfortable, and the entire place was clean and comfortable for our 4 adults and 3 little kids. It was an easy walk to anywhere we wanted to go in Bruges, whether it was shopping, touristing, or to the train station and then home again when somebody was ready for a rest. All of this made for a wonderful holiday that we won't soon forget.

Lovely House & Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

We stayed just before Christmas as a party of 5 adults and 2 children. The house was immaculate and the owners both friendly and helpful from registering interest to repayment of the deposit. The center is just a simple 5-10 minute walk from the house.

We've been to Bruges many times. A real gem of a city although very expensive around the tourist areas in the center at the time of writing. The house is just outside of this so suggest using local bars & restaurants which are just around the corner. Or you could eat in of course as cooking facilities in the house are first rate.

One note of caution; the stairs are steep but this is typical for the style of house. Would definitely recommend the place and the owners and the city. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to stay again.

Perfect.

  • 5 of 5

The house was immaculately clean, modern, and welcoming.

We were welcomed to the house by Yvan. He was a wealth of information and told us a great deal about Bruges' history and culture.

The kitchen had everything we could need and the courtyard was great for breakfast. The bedroom layouts suited the 6 of us very well as our ages ranged from 11 to 70 years.

The house is quietly situated and within easy walking distance of all the sites and attractions in Bruges. Absolutely ideal for our long weekend family reunion.

Wonderful location, beautiful house

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our family of five. The location was great. Much closer than I expected and it was great to be so close to the main shopping street. It felt very safe and we happily left our fifteen year old daughter at home some of the time when she didn't want to visit "another museum". Having a full kitchen was great as we did cook a few times. Unfortunately the bed in the master room was too soft for my husband (although I thought it was blissfully soft so you can't please everyone) and the single bed in the children's room was also not comfortable for my 21 year old. But she put the bunk mattresses on the floor and that was ok. Its probably fine for small children.

I definitely recommend the house as a wonderful place to stay and both Yvan (who met us when we arrived) and Ans (who answered my many emails) were very helpful.

regards
