Prime Position 120 Metres From Putsborough Sands, near Croyde, North Devon

Sleeps 4. This 2 bedroom self-catering apartment is in an elevated position, with panoramic sea views extending from National Trust countryside to the glorious 3 mile Woolacombe Bay, Baggy Point and across the Bristol Channel to Lundy Island. The extensive surf washed golden sands of Putsborough Beach, North Devon, one of the finest Blue Flag beaches in Britain, is just 5 minutes walk away. The communal indoor pool is situated just 15 metres from the front door. Perfect for both winter breaks and holidays all year round. Watch the sun set over the ocean from your private balcony, accessed from the sitting room. You will have your own key to the indoor heated swimming pool which is just outside the front door. Pop over for a swim before breakfast! This apartment is very comfortable and well set out, with all its windows looking out towards the blue-flag Putsborough Sands Beach and the 3 miles wide stretch of Devon coastline known as Woolacombe Bay. We constantly upgrade to provide a delightful self-catering holiday location for our family and guest's enjoyment. Free use of Wi-Fi Broadband... bring your iPhone, laptop or IPad. Welcome Pack including locally sourced sachets of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, biscuits and fresh milk, so put the kettle on as soon as you arrive and relax!

We have a parking space just outside the apartment, plus additional parking in the top car park for a second car.

About Mrs Rachel Snaith

The Osborne family spent many holidays at this property when it was The Putsborough Sands Hotel. We always enjoyed family holidays at this beautiful beach and when we had the opportunity to purchase an apartment here, in 1988, we jumped at the chance.

Why Mrs Rachel Snaith chose North Devon

During the conversion from hotel to the present day apartments we were able to choose a prime position, with all six windows directly overlooking the beach. It is still very much a family apartment and although we let it out to holiday guests, we use it ourselves and constantly upgrade the equipment and furnishings.

What makes this apartment unique

Comfortable spacious accommodation in an exclusive and uniquely desirable clifftop setting. Swim in the heated indoor pool which is situated just a few yards away in a separate, locked building which is for residents of the apartments only. There are many walks which lead directly from the apartment and walking along the beach to Woolacombe is definitely a family favourite. If you are too tired to walk back you can always catch a taxi! We also enjoy sitting on the balcony and watching the surfers.........even in winter they are out in the surf and it's fascinating to watch them catching the waves.

This year was our fourth year at 21 Clifton Court. We have always felt so fortunate to have our holiday in this excellent apartment.



The sea views from the balcony (and every window) are wonderful beyond belief-as are the breathtaking sunsets. The apartment is equipped with everything one needs and always immaculate. It has a superb kitchen, comfortable sofas, special paintings, games, puzzles, books, DVDs, maps and informative folders on places to visit in this beautiful area. Child friendly too!!



The swimming pool is an extra plus and the amazing beach only a five minute walk away. We love it all!



Finally, but most importantly, Rachel and her staff are always easy to contact, efficient and so helpful in every respect.

Fantastic views!

We have been coming to the Woolacombe area for over 20 years and this is by far the best place we have stayed!! The apartment is very clean, well equipped and has good WiFi!! However what makes this place is the view - it is amazing - we even saw dolphins/porpoise from the balcony!! We have already booked again for next year. Highly recommended!!

All Five Star

Every thing was as described - even the weather was kind to us.

Had a really enjoyable stay - the only thing on our wish list would be a lift down to the beach or a free pass if we take the car down (the knees are not what they used to be)

We explored all the local attractions and eating places and had a great time.

Must come again!

Wonderful short break in march

Hi

I spent 4 days at no 21 in March. The apartment is great and was very clean and tidy on arrival and has spectacular views from every window of the beach and sea. The balcony is great and on the warm days, a great added benefit for march !, it was possible just to sit outside and enjoy the views and the surfers on the beach. Everything else in the apartment is well organised and provides everything you need for that home away from home feel.

Rachel was really helpful and prompt in organising and responding to a very late request for availability and also kindly emailed to check everything was fine on arrival.

Overall a great break , very nice apartment, wonderful views and I look forward to returning again at some point in the future and would recommend the apartment to anyone who loves to just spending time at the coast just looking at the sea views and relaxing. Although for surfers, sun bathers and walkers the apartment is also ideally located.

A Wonderful Stay

Sometimes you book somewhere and hope it will live up to your expectarions.

This apartment surpassed mine.

Stunning views, ...yes I expected those, but what made this place special where all the extra touches.

For a start it is spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers on the welcome tray. Everything you need is supplied in the well stocked kitchen. I could go on and on!

Superb apartment overlooking best beach in Devon

A great apartment sleep 4 with all those comforts that you expect at home and more ! Very relaxing few days break in gale force winds at times. Apartment very clean throughout, lots of books, games, DVDs for those times when it rains! Superb views of the beach and towards Woolacombe from all rooms. Walked to Woolcombe, good coffee and meals in Red Barn, all other coffee shops closed anyway! Also walked around Mortehoe and Baggy Point

This apartment highly recommended at all times of the year, you will not be disappointed. Owners provide good customer service throughout booking process, fast response. We will be looking to book again next year, bringing friends.

An excellent & relaxing stay

We enjoyed a wonderful week having stayed previously in 1992 with our young family. The apartment is very comfortable,clean & very well maintained - everything was in accordance with the listed description. Rachel provided excellent customer service both before & after our stay. The views are stunning & it was an excellent base for many local walks. We would certainly recommend the apartment to others without hesitation.

Blue-flag Putsborough beach is perfect for surfing, rock pooling and walking. Take the costal cliff path all the way to Baggy Point and watch seals swim and cormorants nesting on the rocks below. A little further along the path you reach Croyde with its picturesque cottages, fabulous beach, coffee shops, pubs, surf shops and post office. In the opposite direction, from the apartment (top path behind the apartment) walk along the coast path to Woolacombe and come back along the beach, or walk it the other way round!

Woolacombe is an ideal centre for all kinds of adventure sports.........including surfing, kayaking, paragliding, coasteering, horse riding and much more. From Ilfracombe you can take a boat trip to Lundy Island or a coastal Wildlife Cruise or enjoy a day out on a sea fishing boat. At Croyde saddle up and go horse riding on Putsborough Beach or across the sand dunes and bridle ways.

This 3 mile stretch of golden sand holds an 'England for Excellence Gold Award' and has been voted Best British Beach in the Mail on Sunday. It has won both Blue-flag and premier Seaside Beach Awards for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities. Surfers come from all over England to enjoy the great waves and clean water. Watch them from the balcony as they ride the waves, just below the apartment.

If you want a trip inland you can hire bikes from Braunton or Barnstaple and cycle the Tarka Trail all along the estuary to Instow. This carefully maintained path is open to walkers and cyclists, but is particularly popular with cyclists, as the path is an old railway line, so is totally flat and very easily cycled by both young and old alike.The Big Sheep, The Milky Way and Funder Zone will keep the children happy on wet days. For older children there is Mill Adventure Centre, Lets go Superbowl, quad biking and paint ball facilities.

The National Trust' property, Arlington Court is within a short drive. This stunning house has extensive grounds to explore, a carriage exhibition and many activities going on all year round.

If you enjoy Open Gardens...visit Foamlea at Mortehoe. This beautiful garden is open from May to September via private appointment or a few days over the summer under the NGS. Details can be found in the apartment.

There are many pretty towns and villages in the within a walk or short drive of the apartment....Mortehoe, a beautiful stone village with tea rooms and pubs, is a welcome stopping place for walkers and cyclists. Ilfracombe, an ancient harbour town with its now famous Verity Statue and Damien Hurst Restaurant. Combe Martin, bordering the Exmoor National Park. Barnstaple, the main market town, shopping centre and business centre in the North Devon region. The daily pannier market in the old market building is famous for its local food produce, fudge, arts and crafts etc. Covelly, with its steep cobbled streets, built into a cleft in a 400 ft high cliff. This pretty village is definitely worth a visit, with its maritime atmosphere, stunning views and whitewashed cottages.

Bikes are not permitted to be stored in the apartment, on the balcony or in the hallway, as this could cause a fire escape hazard.
