Spacious apartment (40 m2) very quiet, well appointed and furnished. Ideally located in front of the sea with stunning views of the sea and the mountains from its large terrace (18 m2).

It contains 1 bedroom, living room with bed settee, open plan kitchen, bathroom and terrace.

Ideal for couples or families. (No pets allowed)

The building has 6 elevators (3 panoramic) 7 pools (2 for children) one of them with a slide, tennis courts, squash courts, Game areas (pool, table-football, table tennis, stationary bike), children's playground, snack bar at the poolside, junk room, restaurant, pizzeria next to another pool (home delivery service), german-spanish bakery, minimarket, hairdresser and fitness equipment. 7 days a week reception with book lending in many languages and car rental.

The whole building has free Wifi (with password) and satellite TV in many languages.

Upea terassi ja hieno näköala

Vietin marraskuun 2016 alussa kaksi viikkoa tässä huoneistossa. Huoneisto oli siisti ja mukava ahtaudestaan huolimatta. Iso kahden huoneen levyinen terassi ja upea merinäköala. Terassi toimii hyvin kolmantena huoneena.

Koko kompleksi on rakennettu ylös vuoren rinteeseen. Kulkua ylös helpottavat kolme hissiä, jotka toimivat hyvin. Kompleksi sijaitsee keskellä ei mitään. Kylässä on yksi pieni ostoskeskus ja lapsillekin sopiva uimaranta. Kompleksissa on ravintola (joka oli suljettuna), neljä uima-allasta (joista kaksi oli suljettuna), pieni myymälä, baari, leipomo ja parturi.

Terassilla oli pöytä, neljä tuolia ja kaksi aurinkotuolia, joista toinen rikkoutui ensimmäisellä istumalla.

Huoneisto vastasi siitä annettua tietoa. Kokonaisuutena lomakokemukseni oli hyvin positiivinen ja tulen varmasti tänne uudelleen.

Siento que el espacio fuese un poco reducido para estar cómodas 5 personas pero, aunque caben, ya le dije que el apartamento es ideal para un máximo de 4 personas También siento que su estancia coincidiera con las obras de modernización y reforma de 2 de las piscinas. Ya están terminadas y funcionando con normalidad. Un saludo

Super apartment - very nice balcony

I would for sure recommend this apartment.

We are a couple in our twenties, who stayed a week during christmas and New Years in the apartment.

The apartment was very great and perfect for two people.

We especially enjoyed that is was very quiet in the area - Playa Del Cura (the beach) was not at all overcrowded - and we almost had the swimming pool on the rooftop to our selves. Though the pool was very cold in winter time.

To get to the apartment you take two elevators, then walk maybe 50 metres straigt, and then two rows of stairs. So if you are troubled in your walk, I would consider another place.

Otherwise - everything else is super. The reception, the little baker and the pizzaria in the complex are nice.

They are not a lot of interesting restaurants in the area - but if you rent a car, you could find some small and lovely places.

We visited Fataga, Arucas and Terror - all three lovely small cities.

We would like to come back another time. The owner is very kind.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your recommendation. There is a natural system to warm up the pool located in the top of the resort in winter using a natural system based in the sun, although some days it is not enough and the water is not enough heat. The resort is adapted for disabled people (there are 3 lifts and ramps to access to the facilities) although there is a small staircase of 8 steps to enter the apartment, so is not recommended for persons with significant mobility problems such as wheelchairs

We are a young just-married couple. We had an extremely great vacation in this apartment. The location is great: always empty road, few minutes by car to Amadores beach, 5-10 minutes by car to Puerto Rico and Puerto Mogan with their great fish restaurants. Always available place for parking. Only few minutes walk to small and not overcrowded Playa del Cura. In fact, very quiet place. But it takes you only 15 minutes by car to get to the center of nightlife - Playa del Ingles.

A wonderful big terrace with breathtaking view should be mentioned separately. We will definitely remember sitting on it drinking tea during long winter evenings! In apartment you have everything you need during your holiday... even more! In fact it is better than shown at the pictures. As a girl I was impressed by how the apartment was decorated - the host paid a lot of attention to such small details that make feel you like at home: pictures on the wall, beautiful utensil etc. And of cause cleanliness - it is beyond all praise.

A very detailed information how to get to apartment is also provided.

Host is a very pleasant person to deal with: he tries to make steps towards you and find common solution.

In fact I can't say anything bad. Everything was great, even better than we expected. I highly recommend this apartment to everyone.

Excellent value for money - most helpful owners

We are a couple in our sixties who have regularly taken self-catering holidays in the Canaries. This was our third visit to Gran Canaria. Last time here we loved Puerto de Mogan. We chose this apartment, for our February visit, as it was somewhere affordable, in a good location and close to Puerto de Mogan. So what did we think?

The apartment was clean, well kept and very well equipped.

The owners were very helpful and completely reliable – providing us with the key at the airport and making it easy for us to leave in the early morning to catch our flight home. They also returned our deposit very promptly.

Playa de Cura is small/medium sized location that has nearly everything you could want for a family or couples holiday – beaches, supermarket, restaurants and a bar with pools in the developments. It is not as recently developed as some other nearby areas (e.g Amadores).

The Monsenor apartments are probably the largest of several in the resort. The apartments are built into the steep hillside. Advantages of this are the great views and generous balconies. A disadvantage is the steep walk up the hill from the beach/shop/restaurant. Parking outside in February was easy and having a hire car here was very useful – although there is a bus stop nearby. The development itself is very well served by lifts and walkways. For this apartment you have to climb two short flights of stairs from the walkway. The Monsenor development has good facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts, bar and restaurant (not very active in February). The staff at Monsenor were all very pleasant and helpful. The development is well established and maintained – albeit starting to look a little tired in places.

The apartment balcony faces mainly east and slightly south. In February the sun is on the balcony in the morning, until lunchtime. Presumably in mid summer it would be on the balcony for more of the day. The views from the balcony over the bay are terrific.

Overall, the apartment is excellent value for money and the owners could not have been more helpful.

Schönes Apartment und erholsamer Urlaub

Ich hatte das Apartment Anfang Oktober für ca. eine Woche gemietet und kann es guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Die Schlüsselübergabe fand in der Wohnung statt, wo mir dann Jose und seine Frau alles geduldig erklärten (mein Spanisch beschränkt sich auf ein paar gesprochene Floskeln und ein ganz passables Hörverständnis) und auch noch viele hilfreiche Tipps für Ausflüge, Buslinien etc. gaben. Nach dem Urlaub habe ich die Kaution schnell zurückbekommen, auch dafür vielen Dank!

Das Beste an der Wohnung ist natürlich die Terrasse, von der aus man einen traumhaften Ausblick und täglich bis ca. 16 Uhr Sonne hat (wer lieber im Schatten sitzen oder liegen möchte, fährt einfach die Markise runter). Ich habe viele Stunden nur an der Brüstung gestanden und aufs Meer geschaut und das Panorama genossen, atemberaubend schön. Das ständige Meeresrauschen hat mir zu Hause wirklich gefehlt.

Ansonsten ist das Apartment gut ausgestattet und wie auf den Bildern, man hat alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht.

Die Anlage ist schön ruhig und gut gepflegt (nur an einem Tag wurde auf einem Nachbarbalkon gebaut), die Aufzüge haben immer funktioniert und im kleinen Minimarkt an der Rezeption kann man das ein oder andere Nützliche einkaufen, auch etwas Obst und Gemüse oder Wasser. Ebenfalls toll fand ich persönlich die große „Bibliothek“ an der Rezeption, wo Gäste eine Vielzahl von Büchern in allen möglichen Sprachen zurückgelassen haben, so dass mir der Lesestoff nicht ausging.

Das WLAN hat bei mir nicht immer funktioniert, aber noch oft genug.

Von den Pools ist der obere neben dem Tennisplatz der schönste, aber auch die auf der unteren Ebene habe ich genutzt. Liegen und Sonnenschirme sind ausreichend vorhanden.

Unten im Ort gibt es einen Spar-Markt, der die Einkäufe kostenfrei aufs Apartment bringt. Wenn man nicht ganz unfit ist, kann man sie aber auch hochtragen (meiner Meinung nach). Die Straße ist zwar steil, aber es ist wirklich nicht weit. Sobald man in der Apartmentanlage ist, hat man ohnehin Fahrstühle. Nur zwei Treppen zur Wohnung muss man in jedem Fall noch überwinden.

Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub mit bestem Wetter. Mir war es sogar noch etwas zu warm, so dass ich wegen dieses „Luxusproblems“ nächstes Jahr wohl im April/Mai oder im November wiederkommen werde.

Cura Beach (Playa del Cura) is a quiet not overcrowded area with a beach, ideal for families or couples willing to relax.

The area has the best climate of the island, offering to visitors 300 sunny days per year, so you can enjoy your spring winter with temperatures of about 21°C, which invites you to take a bath or a sunbath anytime.

There is a small shopping arcade with a drug store, some bars, restaurants, pubs and a SPAR supermarket with home delivery service.

Connected to the airport through bus 91 (50 km) and with las Palmas de Gran Canaria city (67 km), the capital city of the island.

Also, other lines lead to other important beaches and hot-spots, such as:

- Amadores beach (2 km): white sandy beach with shopping facilities and bars, restaurants chill-out, and crazy golf.

- Puerto Rico (4 km): Major multilingual development with a peaceful beach, marina, sailing school, Scuba diving school, hospital, post office, police station, petrol station, pharmacies, tennis club and paddle tennis, crazy golf and a big shopping center with a supermarket, many shops, perfumeries, banks, bars, sports bar, restaurants pubs or night clubs.

- Puerto de Mogán (10 km) lovely fisher's town known as the 'Little Venice' because of its canals, highlighted by its fishing harbour and marina, its peaceful beach and the number of bars and restaurants, amongst others.

- Anfi del Mar (6 km): beautiful beach complex with marina and island. With many shops, bars and restaurants.

- Playa del Inglés (English beach) and Maspalomas (18 km): These amazing beaches are, without a doubt, the best of the island. With their sprawling 10 km of sand and breathtaking dunes, declared a protected natural site. Around the beaches there is a whole holiday city with all kind of facilities and services.

Among the theme parks there are the Acuasur and Lago Taurito waterparks, the Palmitos park (exotic bird zoo) Siux City (a reproduction of a Wild West city on which many movies have been shot) and Holiday World (theme park)

If you want to tour around and enjoy a glass of wine, you have to go to the Meloneras area, from the Masapalomas lighthouse to the Meloneras hospital and the golf course.

Golf lovers can enjoy the Anfi Tauro courses all year long (1,5 km), Salobre Golf (15 km), Meloneras Golf (18 km) or Masapalomas golf (20 km).
