Casa Claro de Luna is a complete, independant house in a quiet neighborhood and centrally located in Puerto Viejo. Minutes from shops, restaurants and beach access. Walking, only 5 minutes to the town center and 3 minutes to the beach! We speak English and Spanish fluently and would love to host you as you explore some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica! The house is tucked away in the jungle, with wildlife all around, but literally minutes to the beach and town center. At the entrance of the street is an amazing bakery/restaurant and bike rentals. Quiet, relaxed neighborhood, with good neighbors.

This is our family vacation home, with 2 bedrooms (2 queen beds), full kitchen and fully equipped, living room, outdoor patio with table, rocking chairs and hammock. Wireless internet. Parking for 1 vehicle behind locked gate. We have a property manager and on-call maintenance. You will be welcomed by our local property manager and tour-guide! We believe in giving you your space, unless you need any assistance. The house has a telephone that connects you directly with us for any issue.

Quaint and Delightful

A friend and I rented Claro de Luna for a 10 week period (January to April). The property is adequately furnished with comfortable beds (no air-conditioning and not necessary....fans are available but rarely used), . We cooked a lot of our meals but avoided the old stove and used instead an electric burner or a BBQ grill. We really enjoyed the large covered front veranda where we spent most of our time, especially nice when it rained. We had several special requests which were immediately accommodated by either the owner or caretaker. Our biggest challenge was keeping the mosquitoes at bay! Good TV and Internet service. The property is ideally located. Only a short walk to the beach, bars, restaurants, ATM, grocery stores, etc. There are several beautiful beaches that are just an inexpensive bus ride away from Viejo. The most enjoyable part of our stay was the extremely friendly people. All in all a delightful 10-week holiday!

Great time had by all. The house was perfect. Frederick Mines was very helpful, above and beyond.

Property is in good condition and has all the amenities you could need. It is situated away from the main road so there was no noise but close enough that it was a short walk to get supplies or go to a restaurant. The manager Mr. Frederick Mines went out of his way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend this rental to anyone coming to the area. We had a great time!

Great location, very comfortable place.

The stay was great, house was clean and has all things you may need at home. Most important is location as you are almost in the center, few steps away, so not too close to the noise but in a walking distance to Puerto Viejo attractions and restaurants. I needed to use the stove for some evening cooking, it is. bit old and hard to figure out how to use it, but it works :) other than that we had a good resting place and because of location we were able to get in and out several times during the day. The host is very helpful and we got great orientation at the start. Overall - highly recommend if you are looking for not expensive but independent good accommodation in Puerto Viejo.

Very nice, Tico style!

All was well, just as I expected. But Fred, the property manager, went way above and beyond the call of duty and took good care of me upon arrival. He even drove me to the store to buy coffee and dropped me off at the best restaurant to get the freshest fish! LOVED DeGustibus Bakery just steps away for breakfast and coffee! A little home away from home!
