This is a magnificent house with a pool, views of the sea and a pine forest. At night, the moon reflects over the sea. The beach is 700 m away and by motorway, everything is 40 minutes away from Barcelona! The house features six double bedrooms and one triple, six bathrooms, and a large living space. There is a living room with a 55-m² dining area that has a bay window, which has been renovated this year. The kitchen island is new and modern. It offers a large space with a dishwasher, a washer, a dryer, and an electric and Italian coffee maker, according to your preferences. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, tablecloths, pots and pans, frying pans and much more. Finally, it is our second home, perfectly furnished, so that we too can enjoy it; you will not just find the minimum. It is not a house exclusively made to rent; we rent it, but it is our house! If you wish to see more pictures, we have an album on our website. The house offers high speed Wi-Fi internet throughout the entire house, two televisions, one with all the terrestrial television channels, a hi-fi stereo system, a washing machine, an iron, an iron board, a dishwasher, French books, a Nintendo Wii to play with family and friends, many DVD games (to play golf, sing Karaoke and many more from which to choose) and table games. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for 13 people with utensils, cutlery, tablecloths, kitchen towels, as well as a refrigerator, a freezer, and an electric coffee maker. Before your arrival, my husband and I provide you with an excellent guide for your trips to San Pol de Mar and Barcelona (between 30 and 40 beaches in each). The pool is warm and surrounded by a lawn. It receives sunlight from the morning until midday, after 3:00 p.m. the sun returns! In the garden, you will find a volleyball net, a basketball hoop, a hammock, sun loungers, tables and chairs for 13 people, and a boules court. To enjoy the end of the day even more, 500 m² of the garden are illuminated at night! The white village with its hermitage is a true village. It has inhabitants in the winter as well as in the summer and no mass-tourism; therefore, there are people, but only one hotel and no crowds of people! There are traditional celebrations; they are a true change of scenery, in this globalised world, sometimes a little burdensome... The guide that we will send includes excursions, the village celebrations, the surroundings, horseback riding, the village with thermal baths, the spa circuits, etc., as well as all of the information you could need according to your preferences, for sport, and cultural activities and much more. We will be delighted to share good plans in order to enjoy a stay as if you were invited by friends that know the place well, whether it be Sant Pol de Mar, where we have lived for more than 10 years, or Barcelona, where we live now that my parents need me due to their advancing age.

There is a stunning view of the Costa Brava with the sea, pine forests, cultivated fields, and white houses. It is a small fishermen village that has conserved its authenticity in spite of the tourism. Sant Pol de Mar could be the village that resists the tourism that sometimes defaces villages. The signage is not written in German or English. In the village, there is only one hotel, which causes tourists to only stay during the day. The traditional celebrations have been adapted to current tastes. The house has two floors with three double bedrooms on the upper floor and two double rooms on the ground floor. There is a bathroom on each floor and a large modern and airy living space, with a living area, a dining area and an open plan kitchen with an island and a large bay window to enjoy the magnificent view. On the upper floor, there is a 10-m² terrace. At your disposition, you will also have Wi-Fi internet connection and two televisions (one of which receives French terrestrial channels).

The kitchen is equipped with all the utensils need for a stay of 13 people. The necessary bed linen (kitchen towels, tablecloths etc.) is included in the price. The sheets and bath towels are provided for an additional fee. Depending on the season, in fact, when the rental fee is more expensive, the bed linen is included. In low season, we lower the price as much as possible and increase the "additional fees" so that those with a limited budget can benefit from a more competitive rate by bringing their own bed linen... although it is only the price that the woman who washes charges us. In the case of the sheets, for example, it is only €5 per person for the entire stay.

In Sant Pol de Mar, you will find a great restaurant, La Platjola, that offers great meals, such as paella and black rice, delicious and loved, cooked with squid ink, and/or tapas with fish, shellfish, calamari, and other small dishes. It is right next to the beach with a warm welcome and affordable price. Furthermore, you will find supermarkets and many shops, souvenirs, bakeries, summer clothes, and more. However, there are many options in surrounding villages, including a Carrefour, yes, like in France. In the neighbouring village, 5 minutes away by car, the more young and festive will find nightclubs and bars.

Towards the north, you will be able to visit typical Costa Brava villages and bays, with Sant Feliu de Guíxols and its own diving bay, with many small species of fish in a natural park that prohibits fishing. There are some Marineland-style water parks for the younger. You will also find small villages, such as Calella de Palafrugell, Begur, and beautiful bays, and small known beaches, such as Aiguablava, Sa Tuna, Tamarit, etc. You will enjoy, therefore, the Costa Brava with its small seaside villages, such as Sant Pol de Mar, which show the Catalan-Spanish life with its habaneras (Cuban exile songs from the 18th century), with choirs sung by sailors, and with the Sardanas (classical dance), where foreigners can try to learn this dance. You will be able to try Cremat, a delicious hot rum, helps to overcome the obstacle of continuing the party through the entire night to the Spanish rhythm. We only accept French checks for the security deposit and we will return it at checkout, which, in theory, will not generate any movement in your account. The procedure is very organized and secure for you and for us. I will explain it simply.

For the reservation procedure and for the entire stay in general

1) I will request all of the information necessary for drafting the contract

2) I will draft the contract and I will return it, signed and scanned, as well as with an account number to send me the deposit

3) Once the deposit of 30% has been paid and recorded in the account, I will send you a receipt

4) Arrival day, you will pay the remaining 70%, as well as the security deposit for possible damages. For the security deposit, we only accept French checks, or any other check from another that has been certified by the bank, for more than half of the security deposit. Keep in mind that until now we have never keep a cent of the security deposit. Welcome to our island of calm and well-being. The more festive will find, in the neighbouring village, nightclubs and bars! In only a 5-minute drive, you will be able to arrive there!

We have confronted the crisis for about 10 years. We have done home exchanges, but currently, we cannot continue doing that. Furthermore, we like to make our region known, Catalonia, the Costa Brava, and Barcelona, which are magical places for those who love life´s simple pleasures.

What makes this house unique

We accept French checks for 60% of the security deposit, or from any country (but checks that are not French must be certified!); these will be returned upon checkout. Until now, we have never kept a cent of your security deposit! The security deposit payment through check (only if the payment is not made through the website) has the advantage of not producing any movement in your account. We are also putting forth a new service for our guests, which consists in, if you wish, supplying one or two cell phones with a prepaid card from a telephone company and you only will pay for the calls made. The service is optional. The pool is very delightful and completely private. The house is almost new because the entire ground floor, which had been a historic garage, has been completely renovated and features a large 54-m² living room. In the living room, the kitchen with island, the lounge and the dining room are connected, forming a large space that leads to large bay windows with pool access and a marvellous view of the sea and pine forests. It accommodates 13 people in 6 rooms, two bathrooms, a pool, an unobstructed view of the sea and the mountains, and from the two terraces, you will enjoy a 360 view. The house has been renovated in February 2015 and is almost new.

un vrai coin d'paradis !!!!

Une maison superbement meublée agencée avec une vue magnifique, pratique, jolie, une relation qualité prix, au dessus de nos espérances les plus folles. La piscine est trés agréable, dans un charmant jardin, 6 chambres avec chacune une belle vue. Un endroit génial pour des vacances entre familles!

Les hôtes sont un couple merveilleux, serviables , et discret, honnêtes vraiment sympas. Je vous recommande la location sans aucun doutes, vraiment aucun!

C'EST UNE MAISON DE REVE AVEC UNE VUE DE FOLIE, les propriétaires sont charmants , toujours soucieux de notre bienêtre, ils ont remis un guide avec des indications sur les endroits qu'ils recommandent, CE NE SONT PAS DES GENS QUI PENSENT QU'A L'ARGENT, même s'ils en ont besoin pour sortir de la crise , ils ont vraiment une capacité d'accueillir presque comme des invités

Propre, belle, grande, fraiche, que vouloir de +

Superbe maison , avec beaucoup de chambres ou l'on tient à 10 sans aucun problème. ce n'est pas donné pour l'Espagne, mais la relation qualité prix est au rendez vous. Et puis les fêtes traditionnelles du village de SANT POL DE MAR, ancien village de pêcheurs, sont tellement sympathique. Tous les habitants réunis, car c'est un village qui vit été comme hiver, un vrai village, pas de décor en carton pate... des autochtones très accueillant parce qu'ils ont su se préserver du tourisme de masse, peu d'hôtel, un ou 2, etc. La plus part des gens qui ne sont pas du village, sont des Barcelonais qui ont une résidence secondaire , donc des gens du pays, quelques étrangers qui ont loué une maison comme nous, mais une vrai ambiance culturellement locale. Des plages magnifiques de toutes sortes, un peu plus au Sud, des grande plage de sable fin, avec un village Caldes d'Estrac, consacrés à la thalassothérapie avec des centres luxueux, ou plus simples mais authentique, etc. plus au Nord des criques, avec rochers falaise, endroit ou faire de la plongée tout y est. A l'Hermite de Sant Pol des concerts de musique classique, à des prix symboliques et une acoustique d'enfer, etc. un centre hippique pour faire des balades géniales, vers le haut de Sant Cebria,.Pour les restau, ne rater pas la Selva (bonne viande) et autres en terrasse au cente, la platjola, (du poisson frais avec des prix incroyablement bon marché) au bord de la plage, se garer vers el Gran sol, sur la nationale et descendre des escaliers, car la circulation en voiture est interdite en saison, et Cal Lluis, juste derrière la platjola, manger midi et soir, les pieds dans le sable, et en soirée, il font bar de nuit avec de la musique sur la plage. On a raté la grande fête du village le 23 Juillet ou les feux d'artifices sur la plage, reflètes dans la mer, sont , selon les dires un spectacle à ne pas manquer. Merci aux hôtes aussi qui sont adorables...

The Costa Brava (‘Wild Coast´) is located 35 minutes from Barcelona by RER or car. You will find a marvellous house with a pool and an enchanting view. It accommodates 13 people in 6 rooms. It is located on the outskirts in a small town with white, typical Costa-Brava houses, and it is a true village; it is inhabited, not a ghost town, even in winter. There are many different attractions. In the south, the marvellous city of Barcelona is located approximately thirty minutes away and towards the north, there are magnificent bays with diving areas and traditional celebrations. It is the perfect place for spending an unforgettable holiday. We offer a guide to our guests. The security deposit can be paid partially by check, only French.

Nous offrons aussi un service de prêt de 2 portable, avec des cartes Sim, prépayés de compagnies téléphonique espagnoles, pour si vous voulez communiquer entre vous pendant le séjour, vous devrez nous versez une petite caution, mais finalement vous ne paierez que les communications que vous aurez passés, sans vous soucier de votre forfait français. Et si vous êtes un grand groupe qui se séparent cela peut être très pratiques pour vous retrouvez, etc…
