We live opposite The Captain's View and couldn't believe our luck when this beautiful apartment came on the market. Our friends and relatives love it too!
Charlotte and Chris Cornell purchased this apartment in 2013
You couldn't get more central than this apartment in Whitstable. It is right in the centre of the conservation area and has literally a butcher, a baker and a candlestick maker on the doorstep!
We are so glad we found this place (& are already planning our next visit!)
The Captain's View was so much more than we'd hoped for. Bright, spacious, clean, well equipped and a fantastic location.
The owners were so helpful and ensured we had all the information we needed as well as arranging access to their beach hut (at very short notice). The beach hut is fabulous & such a great 'perk' to what is already a fantastic place to stay.
We were a party of four - 2 adults & 2 children and we felt we had heaps of space. The accommodation is very well designed and beautifully decorated - it has a lovely 'boutique' feel to it whilst also feeling homely and welcoming.
We are sad to be leaving but will definitely be back. (For a week next time!)
Thank you Chris & Charlotte from The Morgan family.
this apartment seems to be one of the best in town: a nice view over Harbour Street , best Bathrooms you could imagine and the sun deck on thr roof is simply a hit. we were impressed and felt like at home
I have just returned from a three night stay at The Captain's View. The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. Thank you for creating such a delightful space to stay, at a reasonable price in the centre of Whitstable. I was particularly impressed with how spotless the property was. Lydia
Lovely flat, nicely furnished. Everything you want, and only a stones throw from anything you'd want to visit in Whitstable. The only word of caution - be careful with the bank of switches just inside the entrance door - they're not light switches, but switches for the white-goods (each one labelled in tiny font). If you don't know any better, it's easy to switch the fridge off while fumbling for the lights (we did).
Absolutely stunning apartment, the pictures don't do it justice!
Extremely clean and Fully stocked with everything you need. Very comfy beds, best nights sleep I've had in ages! Brilliant location, couldn't have asked for anything more.
Charlotte was really hospitable and had loads of great suggestions for places to go!
We have definitely found our little seaside retreat and hope to return very soon!
Captain's View was a perfect venue for our family Christmas, the apartment was absolutely spotless, beautiful quality kitchen facilities, bathrooms were also super quality, we could not fault the accommodation at all. There's always something that is missing or you wished you'd brought from home, but we couldn't think of one thing, well done!
Our only annoyance was the parking - very difficult to find a space close to the apartment.
Whitstable is a beautiful seaside town on the East Coast of Kent. The High Street is bustling with independent shops, Michelin-nominated restaurants, excellent pubs and more. You can buy fresh fish from the Harbour, watch world-class Sailing Regattas or walk/cycle the excellent coastal path from Whitstable to Margate. In the nearby countryside, apple orchards and oast houses abound. Within 10 miles you can find the world-renowned Canterbury Cathedral, the evocative ruins at Reculver and the beautiful film-location village of Chilham.
